  1. You are correct. A SeaPass card is necessary to get a drink. However, no SeaPass card is needed to get your free Mimosa or bubbly when greeted onboard. Head to your room to get your cards, drop off your carry ons and to put valuables in the safe. You may even meet your room attendant at that time.
  2. Crew will be getting fruitcakes, candy and little trinkets to show appreciation for their service.
  3. On our cruise, this couple placed a wedding picture on their door. During the cruise, it 'disappeared'. I cannot figure out why someone would take that. So don't place anything valuable to you on the outside of the door. On the Beyond, there were advertising magnets on people's doors promoting a certain travel agency. Now that is tacky. Those should have 'disappeared'.
  4. On our recent cruise, we received a welcome bottle of bubbly, a large tote bag, a Sea Pass holder, pillow menu and the fitness items. Are you sure you were in Aqua Class?
  5. I would not expect that topic to be mentioned. On our cruise on Beyond, I would say 8 of the 10 people I asked about noise had expressed concerns. We were fortunate that we had a quiet room.
  6. The first night can be really busy. For the first night, I would avoid going there early. That is for the first night only. You will get a card with a "suggested " time for the first night but show up anytime you want.
  7. At the present time, it is Anytime Dining. You may go to any of the 4 dining rooms whenever you want to dine. If you arrive around 6:30-6:45, you may have a wait.
  8. You should book early on the app. You will have a better choice of days and times. One of the more popular ones, Eden, was sold out early. The pricing should show up in Manage Your Cruise and add on an additional 20% for gratuities.
  9. There is no charge for regular or decaf coffee in Blu.
  10. We were on the Beyond and we were able to order from the 'classic menu' every night. I enjoyed the French Onion soup, Caesar salad, salmon and the sirloin steak. I thought the steak was outstanding and better than Fine Cut Steakhouse. However, we were not able to order from the MDR and boy, did we try. You should have gone more than once to Blu.
  11. Much depends on the Activities Manager. We have had a Motown Night, Latin Dance Party. Full Moon Party, etc.
  12. Food quality continues to be excellent in Blu. You will not see as many nightly choices as in the MDR. Lately, they have been increasing the offerings of birds i.e.quail, pheasant, etc.. We have been pleased, especially with breakfast.
  13. I had been thinking of booking with one of the big box stores. I read the offer and it seemed much too good to be true and the agent did not appear to be knowledgeable. Went back and booked with Celebrity and received an itemized confirmation very quickly.
  14. When booking, pay attention to how you will pay. It has an option to use your credit card on file. Use you OBC instead. I know someone who was not paying attention and got charged on their credit card. If it is a popular tour, you may want to book sooner than later.
  15. The mashed potatoes are not like the ones I have had at home that have the consistency of wallpaper paste. I am not sure if they were made right on board but they tasted like real mashed potatoes. As an alternative, I have ordered a baked potato or asked for fingerlings.
  16. The mashed potatoes are actually quite good. Better than the pizza IMO. I like them at nearly every meal.
  17. You can usually self-disembark between 7:30 and 7:40 am with your own luggage in tow. I think you are cutting it close with that time. There has been a line to get a taxi and then you have the busy FLL airport. No way to end a cruise...
  18. On the Beyond, the beef short ribs were excellent. However, the beef brochette was nasty. I guess it depends on the chef. The creme brule was consistently good as were the salads. Turkey was excellent.
  19. We have done both. I have never paid less than $25 taking a taxi. We use our OBC to use the bus shuttle from Celebrity. Sometimes, the bus leaves promptly but on other times, you have to wait for a bus to return. In any case, you are at the airport in plenty of time.
  20. If ships are being booked close to capacity, there is less incentive to promote this program.
  21. Yes, the a/c will work if the doors are closed. The a/c will go off when the windows are open. We enjoyed the extra space of the room even though we were apprehensive initially. We booked the same class again.
  22. Remember that everyone will be on during sea days. Service will be slow. As mentioned, ask the crew. They will tell you where they use Internet on shore.
  23. Murano for lunch is nice but there will be a limited menu. You may have 3 choices for each of 3 courses. It is a good experience for food and service. If you wish to dine at a certain day at a certain time, then a package is not for you. We like to dine early and therefore, we book early with the particular restaurant. We are not 8:30 or later diners.
  24. As mentioned, send an email to the Special Needs Department and make sure you add the reservation number and date of cruise. Don't wait until boarding. Our attendant was very new to her position and had no clue what we were asking for. Required us to be persistent and we finally ended up having to follow up with Guest Services on board.
