  1. Many do have the money as they are living with their parents.😶
  2. On our Beyond cruise, we booked beforehand and got the days and. times we wanted. On board, we met a couple in a high end suite and they ended up on a waiting list for Eden. We really liked Eden. For an upcoming cruise in February, those restaurants are filling up fast.
  3. Not sound advice- unless you are willing to pay the fine. Best bet is to grab some local food for your picnic.
  4. We went to one of the Specialty Restaurants and booked there. One stop for making reservations. Or if there are stations set up in the foyer upon entering the ship, you could do it there. The downside of a package is that the days and times may not be available to you. So plan on being flexible and get there early.
  5. No, there was just one tour on the Beyond. And it was worth it especially seeing and hearing all about the technology involved in the theater's special effects screen.
  6. You just show up at the MDR of your choice. We were in Aqua Class and when we did not care for the menu in Blu for the night, we went to one of the MDR. Just walked up and gave our room number. Easy.
  7. Beyond was 99% full. Eden Restaurant was sold out for the week with a wait list being taken. No wonder the prices have not dropped.
  8. This happened to us. I had received a confirmation of my purchases and had plenty of OBC left in the account. So I just ignored that email. One of us then had our Specialty Dining reservation cancelled! You should give Celebrity a call asap as it was quite a mess trying to restore the cancelled reservation. Celebrity did not know why I received the email in the first place.
  9. I would not rely on the Premium connection for an important communication. Service was sporadic on our cruise even with Starlink. Very disappointing and I went to different locations on the ship. Some days it worked fine but for the most part, it was not reliable.
  10. Book early. Our favorite was Eden for the food and service. We did not care for Fine Cut Steakhouse as the quality of steak was less than local steakhouses. Not worth the extra fee.
  11. Check your Celebrity Today and it should be listed under Coffee and Snacks. We went there around 4 pm in the Oceanview on the Beyond and Equinox.
  12. There was afternoon Tea Time daily at 3:30 to 4:30 pm at the Oceanview on the Beyond. As mentioned, scones, jam, cream, and small sandwiches.
  13. Don't waste your time waiting in line at Guest Relations to confirm. Just ask your stateroom attendant. The difference I noted was that the room was not vacuumed in the evening. Towels were replaced if placed on the floor.
  14. We were told at the restaurants that there were no reservations. Show up when you want to have dinner at any of the restaurants.
  15. I second to watch for sales. The cost of upgrading during a sale will be less than buying an hour of Premium while on the ship. Plus you will get the benefits of the Premium for the entire cruise. The $2.99 a day is a no brainer...
  16. Yes, the gratuities will be deducted from your OBC on a daily basis.
  17. They did have the newest released MacBooks and iPads on the Beyond. The previous models were also available. There were 6 of each model on display which was surprising.
  18. The restaurants are either next to each other or one floor above. We were turned away at Normandie at 6:30ish as it was packed. Told to return in 30-45 minutes. We enjoyed the food and service there. If you get to any of them by 6, you should be fine. Normandie was the "hot" one on our cruise. There were no reservations for the MDR on the Beyond. However, if you are in a large party, let the staff know when you get on board.
  19. What about those that do not have OBC or not enough to cover the tips? Also, I don't expect Celebrity to lower the cost of the cruise to reflect the removal of the tips.
  20. On our Beyond cruise, there were about 2 trivia sessions daily. No prizes which made it more enjoyable. No cheating. The number of trivia sessions if often dependent on the particular Activities Staff. There was a daily craft activity. As for PIckleball the times are rather limited. There is no dedicated court but an area that is shared for family games, outdoor movies, etc.
  21. The MacBook model they had was the 13 inch Air with the M2 Apple chip. Cost was $1099. This is also the latest MacBook Air. They also had the previous model with the M1 chip that cost less.
  22. I have seen that statement in my docs. The key item is whether the tips are included in the itemized bill. There is usually the cost of the tips and below it, there is a credit for that amount. If you see the credit, it does not matter in my opinion.
  23. Personally, I would not wear tennis shoes to Murano. I see Murano as a special night and would not wear sneakers to a real nice restaurant back home. "Nice" shoes should not take up much space in the suitcase. The polo shirt would be acceptable for evening dining both in the MDR and Murano. No blazer needed in Murano.
  24. We had then Premium and FaceTime was inconsistent. At times, it worked fine. At others, you could hear the audio but no visual on the other end. Can be frustrating. Just go in with low expectations and you won't be disappointed.
  25. Yes, they do still sell them. On our cruise on Beyond, they had both the newest version of MacBooks and the previous one. Latest version of iPads. Same pricing as in the Apple Store. It may pay to use your OBC.
