  1. Yes, I have been trying to resolve this for nearly 5 weeks but no luck. After I got that message, I started getting emails as well. I was told it was a glitch but the emails are annoying. Same type of message in my reservation online. I have been repeatedly told it would be resolved by the end of the day but...
  2. I also noticed that she only seems to go on the President's Cruise. Maybe she should go on one of the 'regular' ones as I have noticed better amenities on the President's Cruise. I also did not see many seniors at Coco Cay.
  3. And we haven't heard from the cruisers that say "Celebrity is my two year olds favorite cruise line". But that is coming! 😀 Let's face it. The parents want to go on Celebrity and will bring their kids along.
  4. If the focus of the vacation are the parents, then Celebrity would be a very good choice. If the focus is with your children, Celebrity would not be my choice. I would look at Royal Caribbean or Princess.
  5. You can book one night as long as you pay the going rate. If you have a package, you have to wait until you are on the ship. Then you are at the mercy of available days and times. I don't like to dine at 9:00 pm but others may like that option.
  6. I had made reservations and it was a exercise in futility. Not accepted. Just show up when you want to and dine.
  7. Celebrity calls it "Anytime Dining". You show up when you want to dine. So called reservations are not honored.
  8. I would not pay $50 per person per meal to dine in Tuscan Grill Worth $30 to me. As for Blu, I figure $15 per person per day because of the added breakfast.
  9. The only desserts I eat are the creme brule and chocolate mousse. The cakes look much better than they taste.
  10. That is new as there was nothing like that on Beyond. On the Equinox, there was a seafood buffet but it was an extra charge. It was held in a Specialty Restaurant. There was a fantastic seafood buffet at the Oceanview on our Alaska cruise. Free.
  11. Two bags should do the trick. For us, typical service is 2-3 days in getting our wash and fold back.
  12. Things appear to be changing. Never had a problem for nearly 20 years like yourself. First, my reservation was "adjusted" overnight and all perks and discounts were removed. Took an hour and a half to restore the reservation. Then OBC was "adjusted". Still waiting for that to resolve. I made final payment and received an invoice of a zero balance due. Been getting emails saying I owe money and when asked for what, I am told that there is no balance due but continue to get emails threatening to cancel my reservation unless I paid. Been waiting 2 weeks for it to be taken care of but still getting the emails. Has never been like this.
  13. I have booked Guarantees and get an assigned room in 2 days. Never waited a week.
  14. The dining rooms opened at 5:30 pm. Lines started forming at 5:10 pm. So if you get there early, you should have your choice of what section to dine in no matter what restaurant you choose.
  15. When I was on the Beyond, it was announced that everyone had Anytime Dining no what what it said in your booking. You just showed up when you wanted to dine at any of the 4 restaurants. Don't believe everything you read on the website.
  16. There have been inventory supply issues. We did get a more expensive wine that we had ordered. However, we are not that picky and it was fine for us. There was a difference but was a quality wine that we enjoyed.
  17. We are on day 9 on the 7-10 day window to stop the daily emails saying I owe money on my fully paid for cruise or the cruise could be cancelled. The amount due is also still displayed in Manage Reservation. I cannot figure out why the situation cannot be immediately adjusted. Instead, a ticket has to be sent to the IT Department. Frustrating...
  18. I wonder how many people just pay the amount due? Especially when there are words like cancelling your cruise. I was about to pay the amount but then I realized that it was the same amount of OBC that I was short-changed. That was a red flag for me and I then did some math.
  19. Good advice. However, 3 weeks ago, my cruise fare went up by $3500 overnight and all of the discounts and OBC disappeared. And this was before final payment was due. It is advisable to periodically check your reservations.
  20. We were on Equinox prior and after to the last renovation. It was really tired looking beforehand. Sad. Then there was a partial renovation and not all room received the new look. The outdoor Retreat area does not compare to other ships. We were in an Aqua Class room and they did an excellent job of updating the room. We heard that many regular Verandas either got partial updates. No complaints from us.
  21. Similar issues with us. I was checking my reservation and then logged out. The next morning, I noted that the price had gone up by thousands as all of the discounts were gone. Spent nearly 2 hours on the phone and eventually all was restored except for the correct OBC amount. Going on 3 weeks and still waiting. Then last week, I paid the balance due and received a $0 balance due. A couple of days later, started getting emails about balance due even though the agents said nothing is due. Said it would be adjusted that day. Did not happen. Now saying it will take another week to 10 days to resolve the issue to stop the emails and removing the balance due on My Reservation. Frustrating... Just received yet another reminder of balance due. Notices are arriving daily!

  23. Thanks for the information. Took 10 minutes to reach a representative. I was told that it would take 7-10 days for the issue to be resolved. (In the past, it was handled immediately). Now the policy is to send the request to the IT Department.
  24. If you get there early, pray for good weather. No fun standing out in the rain from experience.
