  1. We were NOT able to order from the MDR on Eclipse. I guess it depends on the manager of Blu. On those nights we did not care for the Blu menu, we eat in the MDR, a Specialty restaurant or at the Oceanview.
  2. We received an invitation for having booked another cruise early on the cruise.
  3. Much depends on the cook, quality of beef onboard, your tastes etc. We dined at Fine Cut and the ribeye was very fatty and the filet mignon tasted like a tough sirloin. We really raved about the service and food at Eden. Outstanding.
  4. Ours was 11:30 am for the earliest flight.
  5. Maybe some posters should treat other posters with respect.
  6. On the Beyond, we were told on the backstage tour that each performer in the main theater shows must be an accomplished singer and dancer. This could have made the difference as the shows in Beyond was over the top!
  7. Pizza on a cruise ship is ... rather bland. Describing it nicely.
  8. There are usually more selections available in the MDR. I have found that there are a couple of nights I really don't care for the options in Blu. We usually go to the Specialty Restaurant or the Oceanview.
  9. I asked twice on Beyond if we could order from one of the MDR and got the same answer. "No". I suspect it may be related to being short staffed. When we were asked why we did not come one evening to Blu, we told them why. Still no offer... By the way, we ate a couple of times in the MDRs and the service and food was outstanding. Did not miss Blu.
  10. Your interests match up nicely with Celebrity. It is a lower energy as compared with Carnival. There are two or three trivia per day and live music around the ship late afternoon and evening. Entertainment was fantastic on the Beyond. Food is very good. I would give the nod for burgers to Carnival by a good margin. Don't sail Celebrity for the pizza either. But you won't go hungry...
  11. I thought the cruise director was Julie McCoy. 🛥️ Enjoy your cruise!
  12. Why do you want a 3 or 4 device package? Each of us gets a single device package and then just sign on and off from each device using our user name and password.
  13. It comes up but you have first to click on the All Included option and then, on the next page, click the box where the refundable rate is listed.
  14. Three different groups all had these walkie on our cruise. All 3 were on the same channel. It was chaos. I do agree that it was annoying being in an elevator "What's up, Momma"? etc.
  15. Yes but it could depend on the particular ship. Yes, it was on Beyond --and I wish Captain Morgan himself was our captain. 😀
  16. Eden was just outstanding in every aspect. Fine Cut was a major disappointment and not worth the $$$. Eden was so good we go back twice as we used to go twice each cruise to Murano on the S-class.
  17. I can confirm that if the window is open in your IV cabin, the air will go off. We loved Eden Specialty restaurant so much that we went back for another evening. Fine Cut was a disappointment but hopefully it was an off night. Everyone, enjoy your cruises!
  18. Yes, that is true. Sadly, the walkie talkie system is more reliable.
  19. Sailing that time of year. you should not find families with children being an issue. On some cruises, I did feel I was on a retirement home cruise. Many wheelchairs on board. Great people. However, we still had a very good time even though we were younger than the majority of cruisers. With Celebrity, we found that there was a lower energy level on board as compared to other lines. Relaxed atmosphere.
  20. If you watch the Celebrity commercials on television, you would think so as there are no elderly in the commercial. Just the young, beautiful people. There will be some in that age group but will be in the minority. On my cruises, the ages have been the 50 plus crowd. And often in the 50 PLUS....
  21. I checked in around 1 am and the earliest available this year was 11:30 am. Last year, I booked at 7 am and got 11 am. I suspect they need more time to prep the ship.
  22. By mid-cruise, they were out of some of the soda options. Nice selection of Coca Cola products.
  23. The ones supplied in our room were mediocre. I could see as well with my eye glasses on. Bring your own and you won't be disappointed as I was.
