  1. I like green beans. I may email Paul Ludlow and ask, if operational reasons permit, if we can have green beans every night in the MDR.
  2. Billies baked potato was set up by Billy Walkers brother ( Jack ?) Billy was a heavyweight boxer. You can tell him his food was rubbish. Definitely chips with everything. My reference to Spuds R us is apparently a nickname given to P&O, as mentioned in a previous post. An attempt at humour I believe...oh how I laughed.🤣
  3. When I worked in London In the late 60's we had a Billies baked potato and a chips with everything. Never heard of Spuds R us. Sounds like a good idea.🤣
  4. I agree about the buffet, it's better on Celebrity, but as we paid £1,300 each for a balcony cabin to the Fjords on Silhouette I would expect it to be. We have just got back from Majorca. A week AI for £500 each. The food in the buffet was quite good, but full of screeching kids...oh well the weather was good. Food is only one aspect of any holiday.
  5. We had a trip around the Canadian Rockies and Alaska. DW was most disappointed not to see a moose. I took these photos in Nova Scotia and the Fjords. She said " oh aren't you a wonderful husband." The moose in Norway fell over.🤣
  6. We have done 30+ cruises on several different lines and have enjoyed them all. We have had the odd issue that was sorted out onboard. No noisy cabins, dodgy food, lack of coasters. Nothing serious like that, but I did stub my toe on a silly coffee table on Iona. It took a year for the bruised bit to grow out, but not worth mentioning really ,so I won't.
  7. P&O should have a virtual queue for the prodders and pokers to join. They could then restrict them to a particular time.🤔
  8. You need to pay for parking.....oh yes you do.😉
  9. We only live an hour, or so from Southampton, but still leave plenty of time. If we arrive too early we park up in mayflower? Park and watch the ships for a while and have a coffee. There is also the pier where the Red jet ferry goes from. Park up and have a coffee. P&O could give you and hour, or so free parking, that way you could wander down to Starbucks....I like coffee.
  10. We enjoy all of our cruises on all lines and other holidays as well. Some more than others. You are right about the repeated negativity . Same issue raised umpteen times. I stubbed my toe on the stupid coffee table on Iona. It took a year for the black bruise to grow out. I only mentioned it once....oh!..twice now. I didn't report it to P&O, or do a feefo, or a fofum review, although it didn't arf urt. Did I mention that?.
  11. That was a nice little cruise, but then they all are. A very unusual cruise. Graham and Pauline weren't on it.🤣
  12. When we sail with Brittany ferries on the 9.00pm to St Malo, we get a voucher for 3 hours free parking at Gunwharf. Come on P&O, get with it.😂
  13. The smallest P&O ship we have sailed on is Azura, but not the smallest cruise ship. That would be Island Escape. The biggest is Iona. On balance we prefer Britannia, but enjoy them all. The tennis can go on forever, but I think 40:15 to you. 🤣
  14. It was a proper cruise. We were on a Spain/France Britannia cruise that was scheduled to call into Guernsey. Didn't happen as it was a bit too rough. B720. JULY 2017.
  15. We just had a week in Majorca. We didn't realise it was half term in Ireland. Can't win em all..🤣
  16. Our view of school holiday cruises is a bit like some folks views of the buffet. Something to be avoided. 🤣
  17. Thanks. We have managed to get a table in the MDR every time we have decided to eat there. Perhaps being flexible with time, or table size helps.
  18. We were in Guernsey on a holiday. This is a picture of a ship visiting the Island. 2015..
  19. Sometimes we choose to use the buffet and have never known the MDR to be full, but we are a bit flexible and join the Virtual queue in good time.
  20. IMHO. you are right, in as much as, if I needed to have fixed dining times, I wouldn't be on that cruise.
  21. We got back from holiday last night. We will eat out somewhere tonight, but don't know where. We will need to see what's available. If we can't get in the restaurant of choice, is that the restaurants fault ,or ours?.
