We have only been on Iona once. That was a seven night " chase the sun " staycation cruise down to Spain. We ate in a selection of restaurants. I know we ate in both MDR's and a few specialities. Can't remember really. Everything was brilliant. We were on a ship and eating meals in restaurants. Brilliant. We were on a proper cruise ship, again.🤣

At our post cruise Hotel in Malta, we needed to check out of the Hotel at 11.00, but they were happy to hold on to our suitcases until 5.00pm.

We get to choose our seats on BA FOC 7 days before departure, so we do. If folk have a loyalty privilege that let's them book things a bit earlier, doing so isn't selfish.

Thumbs-up to P&O for that. Who knows, if more companies followed suit.🐳🐳

We only live an hour or so from Southampton, but sometimes stay a few days before the cruise in the New Forest. Leisurely breakfast, coffee in the lounge and a few places to go if we have a late boarding time. We.do prefer to get on fairly early so we can bag a few prime restaurant slots.

Once on the ship, we enjoy every moment and tend to go with the flow. If things don't go to plan, I stamp my feet, say " don't you know who I am ". Tell some senior functionary that we know Graham and Pauline. That normally works fine and we have a great cruise...But the shed at Southampton....really? .

On Friday we arrived at Heathrow 3 hours before our BA flight. Checked in, through security fairly promptly, no silly questions. Through to departures. Where shall we have breakfast ?.A coffee perhaps ?.What to do at Southampton. Go into the shed, answer the questions that you have already answered online sit on a hard plastic chair until somebody waves a big plastic table tennis bat at you....A coffee ?. Get real

I'm sure that irrespective of my, or your opinion P&O will do exactly what suits them. Their choice.They may get to realise that the punters who pay their wages have choices as well.

Anthem is over 4 000 passengers and when we sailed on her last year it was fairly efficient boarding. P&O's new big ships were a few years coming, so any tweaks should have been ready in good time, not suck it and see.

If you run a cruise company and have a boarding procedure that works with 2,000 passenger ships, sorted..Shouldn't starting to operate 5,000 passenger ships trigger a thought process ?.hey..perhaps we need to tweak this a bit, like have more staff and slicker procedures. .

We regularly cruise with other lines, but tend, on balance, probably to favour P&O, mainly on price. I often defend P&O on this board,but in all honesty their boarding procedure and customer service are quite poor.

It is the P&O attitude that customers need to do as they are told, whereas the American lines seem to have a customer first attitude . The " problem " is that P&O don't see that there is a "problem.". Just those pesky customers being blatantly disobedient

I would respectfully suggest Graham, that you leave a little more time on your next trip to Southampton. Average Speed cameras are everywhere.🤣.. Ps . Best one so far....silly spell check thinks the M3 is overrun by spleen cameras.

Many folk like to pay for their copy of big issue by cash and put a few coins in my guitar case. I can then pay that all Into the bank to pay holidays etc.

On RC, X and NCL I can turn up any time after about 11.00. On Azura I turn up any time after 11.00. For P&O at Southampton I turn up at your Convenience, or I will be banished to a queue until P&O are jolly well ready. Their fault for blatant disobedience.

If its a Gran prix weekend we normally go I to the pub, have lunch,watch the race and drive to the port. Board about 4.00pm

Thinking about it Avril, we could live our lives just like a year or so ago. Get deliveryoo to pop our lunch round. Just like meals on wheels,get a sun lamp and watch travel videos on utube and get folk to tell me about all the things that they do I think we will continue going. Out and about 🤔

We actually had a captain on a plane called Captain Scarlet, also a Captain Dart.🤣

We go to our branch once a week, along with a look around the shops and some lunch in town. Folks chat about their online this, that and whatever and then moan about how the town centre is dying. If you don't use it.....🤔

We are in Soller, Majorca at the moment. The topic of conversation.amongst the Brits is how pleasant it is here, rather than at home. Only 26 at the moment

Our parking is £1 70 and hour . As the Council are now officially bankrupt, I guess they need to get some cash from somewhere. Motorists will do nicely.

We enjoy the full ,patriotic,rule Britannia sailaways, but the coronation, less so.
