Let’s see if I understand this. You have a friend who enjoys cruising, especially with casino, production shows, game-type shows and activities. You think this friend will love Viking. Why? You think YOU know what’s good for him, better than HE does?

Disembarkation day is so often a rude awakening type of experience, and yours followed the rule, with the next a.m. thrown in for good measure! Glad the Reykjavik sightseeing was fun, and the cruise was so very excellent. Hopefully you’re home safe and sound, with the photos and the memories to keep forever.

Amber, I think it’s safe to say we are all super excited for you! Enjoy the planning and then have a blast on your first Crystal cruise.

Keep the cruise open in a window, and check it every day, or more often. Be poised to call if a stateroom in your category shows up. It can happen any time, really.

Been there, done that. But then we changed onboard, based on the menus having been posted. Until we noticed, our menu had changed one item! So we cancelled, and just went to The Restaurant.

When leaving from a Manhattan dock, I think it’s rather impossible to avoid it! Or shall I say “her”, rather than “it”.

And then when you board, you go to the reservation desk and make more.

Actually, while Aaron will see there’s no more cheese cart wheeled around, he might not know when it was ended! Of course, who knows … it could appear again at any time! Actually, I was thinking it’s still parked there between the port side and the starboard side, so those of us who are often seated on port walked by it on the way in and out. But perhaps that was only … before!

Yesterday, I was remiss by not answering reenief re YMMV. I can proudly report it was Vince who taught ME this term, several years ago on the Crystal boards! I use it all the time now. I don’t know how I lived without it!

I think there are some either Mastercard or Visa cards that are only 420 or 460 days, or similar. Your Sept. of 2024 would still be covered.

We arrived at Bayonne last October and honestly, our experience was pretty horrendous. Long delays for Ubers, so we took a shuttle bus to EWR. We almost could’ve walked there faster! First a crummy walk to the shuttle departure point, then long lines, crowded shuttle, change of driver in parking lot half way, and some minor annoyance when we got to the airport. If we have to do it again, depending on time of our flight out, I would plan a private transfer. If flight is late, I’ll just wait for Uber.

I like the idea of charging devices there so desk can be less cluttered. Looking forward to trying out the whole thing! Have purchased magnetic hooks to use. There’s a chance they’ll even work from the ceiling. Biggest challenge will be where to put them.

We often took the robes out but never changed the wooden hangers for thin ones. I’m guessing we’ll be fine b/c we never ran out of space. It’ll be more of a challenge, though. Looking forward to it!

I’m excited for you experiencing the Caribbean for the first time, weareSiamese! I’ve been numerous times. It’s not like visiting Europe, or Asia, and I’m not much of a beach person. Still, once shore excursions show up, between those and TripAdvisor, I’m sure you’ll figure out something. I will be curious to see what you do in each port. I will be at two of them in Nov. on Serenity, for the first time. Nassau and St Kitts I’ve been to, many times. They’re not super exciting, but there are a few things to see/do at each. Have fun, planning!

Two different Regent reservationists have told me the answer is yes. The second one added a good caveat. Not every airport allows them to offe4 the air at the same cost. If you have to connect from a regional airport, you may have an air add-on. I agree, people around these parts are mostly all knowledgeable and patient.
