  1. 100% this ^ I don't purchase the bev packages, we choose to purchase as we go but I'd like to have more than one option when in port from 10-6 Sailing Beyond next month Patty
  2. Not sure Craft Social is on all ships? And I took @bebe08 post to mean as an included option not at an extra cost. Patty
  3. Gotcha, I saw your Victoria post above mine, after mine loaded. I knew it wasn't ALL the bars, just never heard of this till now so I am as surprised as the OP. Patty
  4. I also did a search and can't find anything. This is quite the mystery! 🤔 Celebrity sells Beverage Packages and shut downs the bars in an anchored port? We sail to GC next month and plan to spend our day on board, hope this is temporary. Patty
  5. Thank you @bnurick for taking the time to report your sailings OVC offerings. This is exactly what I was needing to see, looks perfectly adequate for my needs. Patty
  6. I'd guess between 6:30-8pm Thank you for being willing to do this for all of us that are curious/anxious regarding the cut backs. Enjoy your cruise! Patty
  7. All of the OVC/buffet cut back concerns are regarding dinner hours. Is your report for lunch or dinner? Thanks, Patty
  8. Many from all over the globe. A tid bit is that there, in my experience, they reference us as "Being From The States" not USA English will be the norm. You're fine! patty
  9. Since you asked... My catholic grandmother from Jersey would say that you need to chill! Patty
  10. I've sailed Millie in Alaska twice and am returning this July! Have enjoyed all of my sailings on her. Patty
  11. You can go to Guest Services once onboard and see what they have available. I'd recommend that you keep checking your Cruise Planner daily, many times people drop off or they add another tour group so you may be able to snag what you're looking for. If you're comfortable going on your own or have anything specific you want, you could also post the info here . Maybe we can give input on private tour options. Patty
  12. WOW! What you describe is nothing like my experience. To be fair my excursion was with Celebrity over 5 years ago but I was on a tour with a max of 15-18 people. Getting through the rocks was nice and we thought it was gorgeous. Here are some pics from my day there, you can see the "Snorers" LOL!
  13. Hope no one was snoring?!? 😂 Honestly just teasing! I didn't snorkel but some did a little ways out in the ocean. Patty
  14. Agree with @Fivelinks I enjoyed the Cel tour but want to add we had back packs and that was super wonky trying to keep them dry when wading though the baths. I'd carry as little as possible.
  15. I'll be boarding Feb 11th so I'll be following your thread closely!
  16. Personally, I am not too concerned. I'll just roll with the changes at sea as I do by land. If the cruise is destination driven which most times for me, it is then that's what I'll focus on. I am not bored of Celebrities itineraries because I still find so much more to do and see with their offerings. As for the cut backs, they just suck to be blunt but they're also in everything I do and everyplace I go. Have done several lands trips this past year to places we've visited previously and the difference in quality, quantity and vibe were vastly different. So for me I see that I have a choice to accept what is out there and do my best to enjoy it or stay home... I am not ready to do the latter. I currently have 9 cruises booked with Celebrity, out till Feb 2025 I'm sure that I'll feel some of the changes but I plan to enjoy all of them. Patty
  17. I also enjoy just a salad for dinner at times. I've ask in the MDR for them to throw 2 salads in one bowl. Never a problem. 🥗
  18. Gotcha and I would guess that my sailing coming up had many FCC's applied so that's another reason for a fuller sailing. At least it's true in my case. Patty
  19. When CC gets too heavy, I know who to come to for the One Liners 😂 Patty
  20. I've cruised the Caribbean many many times in Jan & Feb. The ships have always been FULL! I am back at it again a few weeks and I expect with what's sold out on my sailing it will be near full. In all fairness it is on The Beyond and right now that ship/captain is all the rage. Patty
  21. Ketchikan~ Lumberjack Show fun for kids. Bearing Sea Fishermans Tour kids love it. The Deadliest Catch Walk Creek Street and Hike Married Mans Trail (Easy) Bus out to Totem Bite Park. Explore on your own. Duck Boats Skagway~ The OceanSpeed Raft is super fun and very informative. Rent a car and drive to the Yukon, can get out as you wish and the scenery is gorgeous! Grab a copy on here for Murrays Guide with points of interest along the route. most want the Yukons sign photo. Juneau~ Bus to Mendehall Glacier, explore the visitors center, Romeo a wolf that has a long history/sweet story in Juneau is mounted there. Walk the trail to the falls. My boys had a great time and we were lucky enough to see bears. Momma and two cubs. Whale watching in Juneau is great! There is so much to enjoy in Alaska and the adventure never ends. This is list of lesser pricey options that will get you in a direction. You know your budget and grand children best. Patty https://*****/
  22. In my experience the dining rooms have always been full and the buffet was busier than any other destination. Alaska excursions tend to be earlier during the day and although your ship may be in port till 8 or 9 pm most travelers don't stay off the ship that late. Patty
  23. One cruise that is in question was a NYE cruise so I assume holiday pricing would also need to be included as a factor. I am booked for that sailing so I was watching closely. You're absolutely right, the new pricing they're asking for is insanely high but the booking prices were insanely low. I do see it was an error and totally think Cel failed in their handling of it.
