  1. I thought of a tid bit that may influence your decision, if you have tender ports Beyond will be the better option. This was important to me and why I'm sailing Beyond while doing Gk Isles. Sorry, I know I seem inconsistent Patty
  2. To my knowledge there is no longer any fixed dining on any E class ship. This has been posted about here on CC many times,. Sadly Celebrity hasn't put out the dining change information so many are caught by surprise once on board. Patty
  3. I am not positive but maybe do a search, I've read multiple times that Le Voyage is not included. Also with a package you can't book your specialty dining until you are on board, at that time the options are super limited and many could not get Eden. Patty

    Anchorage

How do you plan to get to Seattle for you flight home? Do you want options for Seward or Anchorage? Confused so can't offer any input.
  5. True Story, I was on a Princess cruise years ago in Alaska, I was so tired of the "Adult" meals and kept going to the buffet looking for Chicken Nuggets. So after a few days, I bellied up to the bar, ordered my champagne and carried it with me to the MDR then ordered Chicken Strips off the kids menu. Asked my waiter to just throw 2 plates together as one. There I sat all dressed with my bubbles and a double portion kids meal. As people walked by I'd hear them say "Oh I want that too" Sometimes we just need to keep it simple 😊 Patty
  6. I'd say pick the itinerary that gives you the most port time, in the ports you desire. For me... Ships pizazz comes second to the sites/excursions in Europe. Europe is magical! Patty
  7. Nice jeans are going to be the norm. With Celebrity ~ In Alaska
  8. Have sailed Alaska multiple times. Nice jeans will be the norm! Patty
  9. I've never sailed with Celebrity in a suite class stateroom, I am sure you'll have a great cruise! I always enjoy the vibe and the service is wonderful. Patty
  10. I have the Hubbard Glacier Explorer booked with Cel and paid $260.99 per person. I locked it down while Cel was running the 35% off excursions sale. So keep an eye out for another deal, maybe you'll be able to grab a price drop for those who are booked for 2023 Patty
  11. Without knowledge of your cruise experiences, your answers aren't relevant. This isn't a discussion about why there are cutbacks, this is a thread with video proof of what was recently on a Celebrity Cruise Ship in an OVC and how awful it was, hence the title.
  12. @stringbean10 this one? @TopoChico has posted many times and I see them all. But I don't see you answering any direct questions.
  13. Right here @stringbean10 Now will you provide first hand information?
  14. Too Late! Final payments have been made ~ Airfare, Pre Cruise Hotel and Excursions are also booked!
  15. Same Boat! We have raved about Celebrity and convinced our NCL Lover Friends to join us. 🥴 Patty
  16. I want to express that no one is "steerage" and cruising in an OV or Interior stateroom has no barring to this situation. We are all worthy of respect and what we purchased from Celebrity should be honored. I have 10 cruises booked, all prior to Jan 1st I am staying in Interiors up to Aft Balconies. I have sailings in Alaska, Caribbean and Europe. This said, I base my accommodation preferences on the itinerary and budget that suits me. This has nothing to do with NOT being able to afford Room Service Fees or The Suite Life. I can afford the $24,000 suite (boasted about previously) if I chose to but I opt for other stateroom categories. When I booked all of those sailings, a plentiful buffet and room service were included in my fare wether I opted to partake or not. I am not nearly as upset as others because I seldom utilize these options but this doesn't make it okay nor negate others feelings of being slighted in the cruise experience they hoped for. Those who choose to book suites are just as worthy of respect and we shouldn't begrudge them. This isn't about status! The one who needs to communicate with their customers and hasn't is Celebrity. The one who made these drastic changes without any warning is Celebrity. I am focusing my frustrations towards them because my fellow cruisers are not to blame. This buffet video in the first post is not acceptable! No matter what stateroom we reserved or how often we eat there! It needs push back from all of us! Celebrity needs to know their customers aren't happy, isn't this why they beg us for feedback at the end of every sailing? If this is still the buffet caliber on my Beyond sailing next month, I'll report to Corporate my opinion even if I never take a single bite. As I mentioned earlier I also believe that Celebrity should Grand Father in RS fees for those previously booked or add OBC. Patty
  17. Or reduced Luminea to a Dinner Only option for suite guests and cut The Retreat pool deck menu down by 50-75%. 🤔
  18. I do think it's only fair that those who booked their cruises before Jan 1st would be "grand fathered in" with Room Service privileges, without paying a fee plus grats. This could have been a great alternative for those who were expecting a plentiful buffet. That was a perk that was available when booking, that imo should remain so. It doesn't effect me as I am not a room service user but it was an included option, without extra expense, at the time of my booking. Patty
  19. Yes< you allocate the amount of OBC in the checkout process. Add to Cart Checkout Out Apply Payment ~ Be mindful that this is where you'll apply OBC otherwise it will charge CC on file. Its also refundable
  20. I agree. I've read and researched Oceania options since it's been highly recommend here. Looks way to sedate and dull. I still want more variety and fun than they offer. I know martini bar shows are corny and the production shows get blah but I do find that the Celebrity's ship vibe is overall adult clean fun. Food is obviously important for many cruisers but for us it isn't top spot. To be fair if we relied on the buffet, this video would have me cancelling asap. It's just not the case for us. People need to choose what will work best for them and if that is Oceania, then great but for us Celebrity is still meeting our desires and needs. There is always trade offs when picking any vacation. Food vs Itinerary vs Vibe vs Ship vs Land vs Cruise line vs Time of Year etc. I hope that everyone enjoys whatever they choose, Patty
  21. This is outrageous and extremely judgmental, Shame on you! Patty
  22. I remember this very clearly, You Tried! And...here we are now... Patty
