  1. Agree! Great glimpse of Italy, Gk Isles and Turkey.
  2. Agree with @Happy Cruiser 6143 I'll add...Venice, Rome and Florence would be my recommendations for an Italy starting point. Patty
  3. June 8th -18th Out of Barcelona. Booked early because I wanted a sunset balcony. I compared this to the NCL cruise and surprisingly its $200 cheaper, pretty equal ports and stateroom so I am sticking with Cel. I did post on the NCL board to get their perspective/feel for the differences and I think The Ascent is a better choice for me. I've sailed the Med a few times, doing Gk Isles this Aug on Beyond so I wanted to get to Cinque Terre and Capri in 2024. Patty
  4. I came back to see if you changed your mind from NCL with the Cel release? Just curious. 😊 I actually did, I've cancelled NCL and booked Ascent for Europe 2024. Patty
  5. I believed you! Want you to know that your heads up was helpful.
  6. Any info on what's being done with The Summit Jan 2025? I see Dec 28th 2024 is the final cruise before Jan 29th of 2025 I have a sunset veranda on hold, would love to grab this sailing but would hate to get bumped. 10 night ABC's and Southern Caribbean. TIA, Patty
  7. I have a booking on hold with $200 Military discount for Jan 2025 on Summit out of SJU OOPS! Sorry I see you mean with AI

I've never stopped in Sitka, I'd bet @Northern Aurora will be able to give input. And to put you at ease, everyone starts out in their planing with trying to see it all. Not possible! You'll want to go back and you'll never be bored of Alaska from what info you've shared here. Narrow down the sailing and then plan one port at a time for your tours/excursions. Always have a plan B, weather can derail many adventures. Happy to help, Patty
  9. Yes, right off the ship there will be booths set up for tickets to get on the Blue Bus. It's super simple. M&M tour of Juneau ~ From their site Tour departs from Mount Roberts Tramway Lot. "The Blue Bus"Glacier Express runs every 30 minutes. PLEASE check with your driver for last bus times! Please add Ship name / Date in port to notes section at check out.
  10. No ~ The Blue Bus is a direct narrated ride to Mendenhall and drops you in the parking lot.
  11. In my cruise planner for my cruises, I only had the 35% off of the already reduced prices for about 24 hours then I started noticing the prices all jumping up. I think many of us got super lucky with timing but it took some serious manipulating of Celebrities site to make it happen. I have 5 cruises booked and was able to cancel and rebook many tours for some serious savings. Ex I was able to grab White Pass Rail and Laughton Glacier hike for $221 per person, today it is sale priced at $288 per person from $339 I suspect the sale wasn't ever intended to be discounted off of the already sale prices for excursions. Patty
  12. Yes, I am on the Millie July 14th 2023 out of Seward and I've had dining in my cruise planner for months. My friends are also on this same cruise and they have dining and excursions booked as well. We were both able to take advantage of the 35% off sale and saved quite a bit of money. Wishing you luck! Patty
  13. Agree it's been super wonky but once we go through the hoops, it's been worth it for the discounts.
  14. Congrats! I did the same, was tapping the keyboard hard last night. It was like a rush once I saw it all go through. I am sure my Am Ex Card will wonder WTH I am doing? 🤪 Patty
  15. I'm confused by this too. I have basic wifi for 1 device, if I can upgrade for the entire sailing for US $9.99 I'll grab it! Following along...
  16. I logged in my cruise planner and canceled my tours that were at a cheaper sale price and immediately rebooked but they weren't sold out so I knew it was safe. I called Celebrity for one excursion that wouldn't let me cancel, it was odd but Celebrity rep cancelled and I went in my cruise planner to rebook while still on the phone. Super easy. I've saved BIG Bucks and am very grateful to the OP for the heads up! Patty
  17. I have an iMac, MacBook and iPhone app and all are working. I know Cel has many IT gremlins but how can it select only certain customers? So weird. I have cleared my history in the past and that has helped. Patty
  18. Maybe make a call to Celebrity to see if they have any idea on why you're locked out? I have no idea why this is happening to so many people. I know that I just logged in and can see all 5 of my cruises and all of the dining and excursions except for one but that isn''t until Aug 2024 so I know its way early for that one. I see you're in Canada, could that be it? I know this has to be frustrating, I wish I had the answers. Patty
  19. I am booked for Alaska July 2023 ~ Excursions and Dining are showing for me. I have dining and excursions booked. Patty
  20. I'm actually surprised that so many have been able to book the desired time and SD preferred choice, once on board. In the past I've always either pre booked or was forced to let it go. Many times I tried to get a table on embarkation day once on the ship and I have never been able to. Was always told "Sorry but nothing is available" no matter how many tables I saw empty on any given night that I passed by. This was Pre Shut Down. Not suggesting any one is lying, just hasn't ever worked that way for me which is why in my earlier posts, I expressed that I preplanned. From my experience with previous sailings and the reviews here on CC, I suspected with Eden and Le Voyage I would have to be very pro active. I strongly suspect that Celebrity doesn't see any problem with their Specialty Dining Venues being sold out regardless of who the purchasers are. Their top priority is the moola! I am sure they don't care if it's all from just you and I or from a combination of 100 others! Enjoy your dinners, Patty
  21. Maybe IT needs more time? Or there is a port issue and they're locking down dock space?
  22. Oh Yea you're right, they do have independent vendors for whale tours in ISP... I forgot about that. I think they do for bears too? Enjoy your day! I was lucky enough to see a bubble feed on a tour out of Juneau years ago. You'll have a great day out of ISP. I'll be doing the Zip Rider and Ocean Raft this time around, Patty

I suggest looking at what your must haves are for each port first. For example one trip bears were on my must have list and I wanted to do them out of Ketchikan, that decided my month/options. There is a season for best viewing probability so I went stacking my odds in my favor, worked out great! That year meant June for me. May can still be icy getting to glaciers. There is no bad time but depending on what you're wanting most can determine better times. Pick a cruise line, that has a sailing with the most amount of port hours then look at excursions and make your list. Try not to worry about the ship if Alaska is really what you're after. Ive sailed Princess and Celebrity in Alaska. Alaska gives many people sticker shock, start planning your budget. For me tours are most important so the stateroom comes last but many people love a balcony, I am always top deck. Here are some tours I've done and loved... Hubbard Glacier is massive and imo a must have. Glacier Bay is very nice and many will say you must have it but I was not blown away. Tracy Arm Fjord is beautiful but the glacier view can be limited because of weather/ice. Ketchikan: Bears twice once to Anan and once to Traitors Cove with Island Wings. Floatplane with landing in Misty Fjord Monument. Adventure Karts. Skagway: Rented a car and went to the Yukon on our own. Train Ride is gorgeous but no adventure. I'm retuning this July and will take the train and get off to hike to Laughton Glacier. Zip line fun but typical. The jet boat was super fun and much more educational than I expected. It was great! ISP: ATV's and the Zip Rider... A BLAST! Will be doing it again. Juneau: Whale Watch got lucky with a bubble feed, it was spectacular. Mendenhall Glacier Canoed and hiked Mendenhall glacier, was able to explore an ice cave. HighLight of my life! If beginning or ending in Vancouver: Fabulous city, walk or bike Stanley Park. Very active city. We enjoyed this a lot. Can watch the floatplanes lands. Gastown area steam clock, enjoyed a drink. Aqua bus to Granville Island. It was just a time killer for us. If in Whittier meaning beginning or ending in Anchorage: 26 Glacier Cruise with Phillips is fantastic. Lots of whales and otters. Hope this helps and doesn't confuse you even more. Enjoy your planning, Alaska is amazing! Patty
  24. Go into your cruise planner on your cruise hit "Plan My Cruise" I noticed the change earlier today. it will load with a categories tab across the top like a banner bar. Patty
