  1. Apex doesn't have loungers in front of the Cabana because they face the ocean and it is 2 chairs that are set in the seating area that are included but not loungers facing the pool.
  2. Not in my personal experience on Beyond. They're open to all guests and are not included in the cabana rental.
  3. It was on Beyond. We've had lunch there on embarkation day. Patty
  4. By day, lunch is served at an additional fee and you can purchase sandwiches or small pastries. In the evening the space is used for Le Petite Chef, a specialty dining experience. I personally feel they need to swap this space with Craft Social which is tiny and always busy. Patty
  5. @WestLakeGirl and @patty1955 Not S or M class but as a heads up, I've been told by our Stateroom Attendant twice on Beyond and also on Apex, in the Caribbean and in Europe, to leave trays in the hall outside our door. They have someone come by with a cart to pick them up. Not because of covid. Patty
  6. Have sailed Alaska on Celebrity with my kids. At the time they were 15yrs & 9yrs old and they had a blast! We made our family adventure 100% about Alaska and booked many fun and exciting excursions. Sometimes kids surprise us, they don't always need water slides or rockwalls to enjoy what the planet has to offer. Go...Enjoy...Soak in your family time! Trust me, it goes by way too fast! Patty
  7. I've had the lobster ravioli and it was delicious. Patty
  8. Personally I've had fantastic meals at Fine Cut twice on Beyond BUT on Apex this past Feb it was a major miss! Steaks were overcooked, sauces and mushrooms were cold, service was super slow and the over all vibe seemed lackluster compared to my other experiences. We were a table of 4 who had all dined at Fine Cut previously and agreed it was "just okay" bordering on "meh" Patty
  9. We've never sailed Hawaii, only visited with land trips. Although we've enjoyed Maui, I agree Lahaina was just okay, I loved Kauai and Hubby loved Big Island, enough to return several times. We witnessed this explosion while have lunch in VNP. The left is our pic, taken with an iPhone from over a mile away. The earth literally shook. Very COOL experience and nothing that anyone could ever plan for. So all that being said my best input for the OP is that any vacation wether be by land or sea will have many plusses & minuses, lots of variables at play. When it comes to price drops after final payment, you just need to let that go. Motto: You win some ~ You lose some, in the end it all comes out in the wash. IMO Celebrity still offers a great product, when looking at other comparable lines, they exceed in service, dining and overall ship design. Cruising has changed, the traveler has changed and life as we know it has changed. Enjoy Hawaii, Patty
  10. I had the same issue. I called Celebrity, they had to submit an IT Ticket and it was fixed in only a few days. Patty
  11. Sailing the Connie June 2024 ~ I am flying in a few days early and booked flights on my own, called Cel and had the bus transfer VCE to Ravenna added to my booking confirmation. I'll meet back at the airport for the bus day of sailing. I'd call again, what you were told is incorrect. Patty
  12. Celebrity is doing bus transfers from Airport & City Center to Ravenna Day of Sailing. You can call to have it added. The online system kept glitching because I am not flying in day of sailing and didn't book my flights through Celebrity. Customer Service Rep added it and sent me a new booking confirmation. I paid $40 per person from VCE to Ravenna Patty
  13. Thank you @mac_tlc for another fantastic trip report, always enjoy following along! Patty
  14. In addition the Silhouette out of Rotterdam haven't had their Norway itineraries altered, in time maybe they will? Some itineraries are missing Nordfjordeid entirely and being replaced with Bruges. That's quite a disappointment for those planning this sailing for the Norwegian Fjords. As of now it remains a mystery, time will tell Patty
  15. No, those loungers are for all guests. Patty
  16. I called Celebrity, they put in a work order ticket and it was fixed in a few days. Patty
  17. I'm usually not wow'ed by the ship shows on Celebrity but Rockumentary was fantastic! Pool deck dance party was a huge hit! The guest magician was fun! Game shows were hit and miss. Patty
  18. I am 56 hubby is 59, recently retired and we would love CoCoCay! I could lounge at the adults only beach and he could exhaust his inner child. 😁 My kids never cared about water slides or rock walls but my hubby did and still does. We just sailed on RCCL in Dec for a quick trip to Labadee, between the Flow Rider and Zip Line he was in his glory! Patty
  19. Not sure about that either... 🤔 Sailed Gk Isles Beyond 11night in the first week of September and it was much younger than the 7 night Caribbean Beyond in Feb. If Celebrity's "End Game" is younger with money, IMO they're winning! Other than the constant swaying, we had a fantastic cruise. The Apex was the most fun I've had on a Celebrity/Winter Escape sailing in many years. The Pool deck was a roar, the dance party events were a huge hit, silent disco is popular enough they are holding them twice now, the MDR was much improved, the staff were all wonderful and seemed super happy. I honestly see the changes are working for them, Patty
  20. I just sailed 7 night Apex and would guess it was easily 50% under 50's and more in their 20's than I've ever had on any Celebrity sailing. It was a packed pool deck and dance floor. The vibe was much younger and livelier than the Beyond one year ago to date, same week/same port of departure. My observation is that Celebrity is without a doubt reaching their new younger target. Patty
  21. I am sorry, I am not trying to freak anyone out. I told my hubby this morning people are very fearful of sea sickness and if this is a stabilizer issue, cruisers need to know but we all know Celebrity does not want to release this type of information. I honestly hope I am wrong! My hubby is retired Navy, he was the one to notice the speed increasing and decreasing with more than normal vibrations. I am sure that in time the reasons for all the changes will leak, Patty
  22. There is also the Martin Bar, Sunset Bar and Craft Social. I found Beyond to have many before dinner drink options and there is always some entertainment.
  23. As I posted in the other thread, I just sailed Apex. It was swaying a lot! I've sailed enough to know that something was off and my hubby is retired Navy, he's spent many days on the water, he noticed the speed changes and hard vibrations. I don't believe it has anything to do with Norway. Celebrity isn't forthcoming so all we have at this time is a bunch of speculations, Patty
  24. There is an article posted in this thread. Post #19
  25. Hope I am wrong too! Like I said I'm not an engineer and it could be several things but until Celebrity is transparent we only can speculate. The Feb 10th sailing swayed the entire trip, I remarked that while hitting San Juan it should have calmed down by now, our travel friends were very sick. Patty
