  1. Which NFL team do you play for? 😁
  2. And right now it looks like they only do it on certain Journeys cruises. I hope they expand it.
  3. It's a luxury item that people are voluntarily paying for, and they know exactly what they are going to get. No one is being "taken advantage of".
  4. The offerings are pretty limited, but I do believe that all the ships get the ESPN channels.
  5. I am sure one of them is typing a rant to John Heald as we speak. 🙄 ETA: Apparently that has already happened. People stink.
  6. I was on a ship recently, and of the 50 or so books they had, six or eight of them were the same title. Someone must have done a book club on their cruise!
  7. The last time I took Radiance last winter, all of the cakes were baked in sheets and small squares were set out on the buffet. It was a little disappointing, but I am not the type of person to declare that I will never sail Carnival again because of it
  8. I think the point was that she didn't want to go somewhere else (like the sports bar) to watch the game; she wanted Carnival to put her game on the giant screen on Lido.
  9. Agree! We went to Steakhouse Brunch on the Pride a couple of years ago on a trip into the Panorama Canal. It was the best meal I have ever had on a cruise ship. They really should offer it on every sailing.
  10. Given what you have just said, he will be just fine!
  11. On Horizon, yes. That Fun Times list is a little confusing.
  12. Put me in the corner of being happy that Carnival is able to raise its fares and sell out its cruises. I like a bargain as much as the next person, and I took advantage of some incredible deals immediately post-Covid, but Carnival Corp would not be able to stay in business for long at those prices. And if they went under, all of the other cruise lines would jack up their fares (and sell out quickly) because of the significantly reduced competition. I want Carnival to be a healthy company so I can sail on them for many years to come.
  13. Don't bring any drugs and you won't have anything to worry about. Except for Eli_6, apparently 😄
  14. Why not? I see you are from Europe, so you are already ahead of the game on getting there compared to Americans. I will have to say that type of cruise would not have the typical Carnival vibe. The average age is going to be older, and the emphasis is going to be more on the ports and destinations as opposed to fun on the ship. Even though Pride is an older ship. it is one of my favorites. It doesn't seem to be as crowded as some of the newer ones, and I like the layout.
  15. Unfortunately, you want to travel at one of the most popular times of the year on the most popular ships. Limited availability and higher prices are going to happen. We have had plenty of fun on the other ships. Perhaps you should give one of them a try.
  16. Yeah, based on my experience, I would think an extra shower and an extra bathroom are more valuable than an extra toilet. 🙂
  17. Well, they have ten months, so I doubt they will be in a hurry to lower the price.
  18. If Carnival wants to make some money, they should auction him off! 😆
  19. If they had chips on the salsa bar, they would never be able to keep them stocked. People would take huge amounts. Now if they would put a little handful on your plate when you ordered a taco, that would be great...
  20. I haven't used anything more than a backpack and a carry-on for travel in years - for trips that were three weeks long and more. The backpack fits under my airline seat and holds a lot of stuff. If you are willing to wash a few things yourself (or use Carnival's laundry service), it's doable.
  21. Go to either Ji JI's, Cucina del Capitano, or Pig and Anchor for lunch on embark day They are usually uncrowded because people haven't discovered them yet.
  22. It depends on how quickly the cruises sell. Compare a cruise in December to the same cruise in late March. Often the one during the height of Spring Break is double what they charge for the lull between Thanksgiving and Christmas. And every cruise has over 1000 cabins to sell, as opposed to a handful of cabanas and villas. They can be more aggressive on the pricing on those.
  23. If the new card has the same credit card number, you should be fine. The new card only updates the expiration date.
  24. Exactly. At least if you cruise a different line, your spot on Carnival is likely to be taken by someone who doesn't mind leaving gratuities for the hard working staff.
  25. If you read enough posts on Cruise Critic, you'll eventually see complaints about practically everything on every cruise line... I personally think the coffee is just fine.
