  1. How about posting a link to the article?
  2. IIRC most of the drink menus either indicate which drinks can be made without alcohol, or have a non-alcoholic section, or both. Alchemy might be an exception.
  3. You choose the type of tea you want and you are given the tea bags.
  4. I would never assume that that is a blanket policy for every excursion.
  5. I have never used the safe in our room. I am too afraid I will forget to check it and leave something in it. We don't leave anything remotely valuable out in the open, but I trust the stewards, and besides, I don't think they have time to go through my cabin to look for stuff worth stealing. And except for my plain wedding band, I don't bring any good jewelry with me when I travel. One less thing to worry about.
  6. You still have to check in. You can do it at home before you leave for your first cruise (assuming your first cruise is less than 14 days). I am not sure whether Guest Services can do this for you or not. It's probably easier just to do it yourself. You will need to enter all of your information again, just as if it was a stand alone cruise.
  7. I wasn't specifically talking about tea time. But I know for sure that you can see all the menus and activities, so I don't know why tea time would be an exception.
  8. You can skip ahead on the Hub app and see what is going on later in the cruise. I do that all the time to plan my activities.
  9. Good to know. That must have changed recently.
  10. If I were you, I would consider insurance with a third party. All the sites I have researched have search engines that ask right up front where you live, and only show you policies that you qualify for.
  11. There is a line on the receipt to add a tip. And all the servers accept cash.
  12. My guess is that most people aren't that uncomfortable in that type of weather (Cozumel's average high in April is 87 degrees, BTW), or else Caribbean and Cozumel port stops wouldn't be as popular as they are from April - October. Warmer weather doesn't bother most kids What bothered mine was taking a Spring cruise where the water at the beach was cold and they needed a jacket on deck, which was the case on our West Coast Mexican cruise.
  13. Based on my own experience and the posts in this thread, it appears that the answer varies from ship to ship, and even then, from itinerary to itinerary. And even then, it can change. What DH and I tend to do is to walk over to Red Frog Pub relatively soon after boarding and check it out. If we don't see a happy hour listed on the sandwich board out in front of the pub, we walk in and ask. They might not be open for service yet, but they will know the answer to my question.
  14. I don't get any casino offers, most likely because I have never wagered more than $25 in a single cruise. I am pretty sure that in the long run, I am paying less for my cruises than most folks who get casino offers. Now if they would only give me a free cruise for playing "Deal or No Deal". 😇
  15. There was no happy hour at Red Frog Pub on the last few ships I have sailed on. It won't hurt to walk over there and find out one way or the other.
  16. I don't think the offer afternoon tea on the shorter cruises anymore.
  17. If you aren't able to find pictures, perhaps your waiter might be willing to do something like take pictures down in the galley, or bring up a couple of things that he can choose from.
  18. Yes. It is onboard credit that you can use on the cruise. I don't think you can use it for the actual fare, though.
  19. That is the scheduled time, but for a number of reasons, debarkation may be delayed. I wouldn't cut it too close for your plane flight.
  20. I have both a Margaritaville and a Senor Frogs in the city where I live. I am all about the local stuff.
  21. Do the have all the sets, musicians and actors from the Broadway production? If not, I would demand a refund!
  22. True. My mistake. But I don't think any are served in the MDR or the buffet.
  23. I know, right? And the shows in the main theater are nowhere near as good as the ones on Broadway. And don't get me started on how the bands at the Red Frog Pub don't sound exactly like the artists they are covering.
  24. While there are a lot of other pastries available for breakfast, I don't think there are donuts. If no one has pictures for you of the food, you might try looking for a "trip report" thread posted by someone who is on the ship with young kids. Trip reports are usually full of food pictures.
