  1. Yes, does Mariner even have a Splash Pad for Swim Diapered Kids, list I read said Ship does not. Anyone confirm? Sign lists standing water at 1.5 inch's deep on Ships that do have Pad.
  2. Yup, that's our experience, Grand Daughters Pullman stayed down whole Cruise over top my Daughter/SIL double bed. Now when my Kids were young 20-25yrs ago we'd stay in an OV, split the Double Bed into Singles and with Pullmans down Cabin was set up like 2 sets of Bunk Beds. Helped with space also with 5 of us in a Vision Class OV Cabin
  3. Ships that have a splash pad for babies in diapers: Oasis Class Wonder of the Seas Oasis of the Seas Harmony of the Seas Symphony of the Seas Allure of the Seas (this ship has an H20 zone, not the updated Splashaway Bay with slides. Depending on your child needs, this may be perfectly fine) Freedom Class Freedom of the Seas Independence of the Seas Liberty of the Seas Quantum Class Ovation of the Seas Anthem of the Seas Odyssey of the Seas Spectrum of the Seas Quantum of the Seas Majesty of the Seas Navigator of the Seas
  4. If actual Navigator Pic then yes and its the smallest Triangle Front. No Spray Toys like other sections, tall glassed in from other sections and water 1.5 inchs deep. Just enough sit, crawl in safely. Only kids in Diapers in it, no older Siblings and must be accompanied by Adult.
  5. Hope having a Great Cruise/Cruises. Almost Booked your same B3B on her. But Building new House and est Date completion was 1Apr-1May. Did Jewel for B4B last March-April. At time was one the Cleanest Ships ever been on. Older or Dated I can live with, long as everything is Clean...no complaints
  6. Yup, 13 Sailings on 3 Ships last 11 Months, all but 3 were 2pm on the Door, one was 1pm and others were 130. Though several sailings they said 2 but announcement was made Cabins ready early, this between 125-145. That said even Pre-CV seems like I always had the Sailing where they were doing Deep Clean, Inspections or replacing Mattresses or Balcony Chairs. These would cause late 130-2pm on about half my Cruises. Furniture replacement took all 3-4 legs my Cruises, this as they'd do couple Decks each week
  7. Thank you for continued service. Many of us achieve much due to at least one Great Teacher.
  8. True, though many 11-12yr olds look like 17-18yr olds but still can act like 2yr olds. 20yrs ago took my 12, 7 and 4yr olds on Cruise. Many onboard thought my 12yr old Daughter was my Wife! Kids/Teens look lot older then when I was growing up. My Kids started Cruising back there was no KSF and over 1/3 the yr it cost more for 3rd-4th passengers then first and second
  9. Some places offer Senior Discounts young as 50, many more at 55. Turned 57 and I'm not shy or ever embarrassed to ask for anything that could save me $$$. Did get 2 Senior Discounts from 2 other Cruise Lines, but seem to do lot better scoring Military Discounts with Royal. Funny thing is get Carded lot of the time as workers guess I'm only in my early 40's. I can live with that!.. Was very Lucky with my Kids/Teens, never an issue on Cruises or outside the house even with me not looking over their Shoulder. Though we had some serious heated discussions this was always at Home. Can't Win them all
  10. When I was a Kid some Hotels ran hourly rates. They went away and Hot Tub rentals came along, rented by hr or even 1/2 hr for "Nooners"
  11. Stepmother loved Teaching, was late bloomer starting at 36. She was assigned 3-4 Special issue Kids every yr, was trained dealing with them. But got her 30yrs in and was to the point she needed to Retire, not only the Kids but also the new Teachers who are not same political Views as hers(Why cant we all get along) She Retired 5 months before CV.
  12. It's nice though feel for those don't have ability walk further or just the convenience being by Elevators/stairs
  13. One reason I enjoy my Aft/Corner Cabin, always been light sleeper, its quiet and nobody walks by my Door in that corner.
  14. Agree, Cruises I'm on 10-50 Kids at most. The 50 was crew bringing Family onboard end of a Repo where lot Senior Staff was ending their tour. Last fight I witnessed was 2016 and was between 2 Waiters. That was interesting!
  15. Yeah, thanks for report. On my 11 Booked Cruises still list it at $8,99. It was either $10.50 or $10.99 right as CV started on the new released Dates but then all dropped back down within weeks. Now if we could get it back down to $4.50 -$5 like was few yrs ago I'd be really happy. But that isnt going happen
  16. Everyone can have off nite once in a while 😁
  17. Agree. Then when my Kds were in School and me in the Military our Cruises and Orlando Trips were always week around Fed Holidays. Though I heard of the Yeshiva week yrs ago here on CC
  18. When some Cruises were released right before start of Covid prices were over $10. At least post CV this is one the few that is lower now
  19. That was my thought, Families all ages and save where you can... Funny thing happened first Cruise we took after my Wife passed. It was me, my 4yr old, 7yr old and my 12yr old. A least 2 dozen onboard thought my 12yr old Daughter was my Wife, Mother of her Siblings
  20. Classic! My Aunt took me to this, she 18, I was 12yrs old. First non-Disney type Movie I saw. Was at a 1927 Palace type theater, had a stage, sat 1500, though rare have 100 for new movies. Dad took us there every weekend for Saturday Matinee. As was with my Aunt for Animal House(Rated R) and not a Parent the Theater MGR called my Dad to OK me watch it. One his questions I heard, "So you will take full responsibility your Son watching this Movie?"... Some this isnt a Joke, every Cruise observe Passengers lick fingers as they load their plates and even putting food back with bare hands! Then a couple walked in WJ week Masking ended, guy sneezed into his hands and said to his girl,"I almost need wash my hands again" this as he wiped hands on his pants while he continued on to serve himself Dinner
  21. Agree, was stationed different States and my Kids had many different Vacations dates then. Now so many yr round School, Charter and Home Schooled. My Grand Daughter starts School here in Arizona 3rd week of July, has 2.5 weeks off in Sept/Oct and in March also, 4.5-5 weeks off Dec/Jan, and end School yr week after Mothers Day. Did my First Easter Cruise last April, well it ended on Easter, 8niter and we might have had 25kids. Shortest Cruise's done in 21+ yrs. Was B4B though and following leg started on Easter where we had about 50 Kids but many younger Adults. Last 10yrs at 47-57yrs old use to being one youngest on the longer 10+ niters, Repos, PC Cruises and Radiance Class. Average about 20% Younger then me, one starting on Easter I'd guess only 30% passengers were Older then me
  22. Here also. Many Moms on our Street, also 4 Aunts and Grand Parents on same 2 Blocks. We moved was 8yrs old then walked my 6yr old Sister home from School and Babysit her. Latch Key Kids. We'd be on our own til Mom got home 2 nites was 5, other 2 was 630pm. When was Summer Vacation would grab some Food, my Pup tent and Friends would go Camp out nite or 3. Sometimes in our backyards others 3/4 mile away in the Woods. This when was 10-13yrs old. We were safe, had my Buck Knife and a .22/Pellet Gun
  23. Most Schools my Kids attended we were allowed 2weeks personal/Vacation. But I'd always work Vacations & Military Leave around Holidays/School Vacations. Labor Day they only had 4 days before after and in Oct and Feb they had Fall Break(Columbus Day) and Midwinter Break(Presidents Day). Oldest was Home Schooled, Graduated at 16 so that also helped
  24. Yup it's changed. Cruising in general was called Newlywed and Nearly Dead, and Royal was this not a Family Cruise Line. First went on my Honeymoon at 20yrs old was only a pair of 18yr olds younger then us. No Families/Kids. This on the then new Sovereign, the largest Cruise Ship in World and first Mega-Cruise Ship. And this was Summer 4th of July Cruise. Soon as Voyager Class came out started getting younger Crowd, more Families and Kids and prices by 2002 were a third what were 15yrs before. Shoot in 90's couldnt afford take my Kids in Summertime. First 2 passengers were like $999ea, 3rd and 4th were running $1399ea, and this in an OV Cabin. We always had to Cruise off season, Feb and Sept-Oct
  25. Grifters gotta start somewhere. Maybe the Parents sending them out? 😁
