First Cabin's had with my 3 Kids were Ocean View and set up as 2 Bunk Beds with 2 Pullmans and Main Bed split up. Worked well for us me a Single Parent raising 3 Youngsters. Funny thing is when I was 6-8yrs old I fell out Top Bunk at least twice, my Parents heard the Thump as I hit the Wood Floor. They'd come in my room see me still sleeping any lift me back into my bed

On my longer 12+ nite Repo Cruises Waiter would always say additional Menu's are ones they don't use all the time. Hopefully this hasnt changed from last 12yrs I experienced this, have 3 Cruises 14-16nites in next yr and my Daughter likes the variety. Me, know what I like

Few times a Call to Royal was going take me 30+ min I hung up and called later. Last 3 Calls got threw in 2-3 Min, total each Call all under 20min. Did have one take over Hr but had to be done that Day and was Changes or Reductions to 5 Cruises on that Call. -

Haven't yet, will leave that Class to my Kids and Grands. Cruise longer 10+ niters and Repo's on Radiance and Vision Class, at most we have 20-50 Kids onboard -
Cruises been on the Paint and Railings PreCv was Annual Maintenance done after Ships Returned to US warm weather in Fall. One week they'd take off Dozen's Railings, if you are in one those Cabins that Cruise you have no Railings. Next week they were put back on after being sanded and Varnish moving on to next bank of Cabins. Same with Painting turn around day they's do Dozen Balconies then while ship is at Port Stops they'd start touching up everywhere else. What I observed on B4B's and longer it takes about 6-8 weeks get everything done. Interesting this happened even on 2 Ships that had just left Dry Dock, this work was done later after returning to reg Cruises. Covid unique situation seeing Vision Parked w/o most Crew for many Season's. Maybe they should have had Crews return early and work on Ship for 4-6 weeks before returning her to regular Cruises. Have feeling Corp discussions were made whether to keep her or Transfer her to another Line. Not saying you are wrong to complain, you should. Me, long as have at least Good Food I'm ok with Rust and the way they do Maintenance as I described in Pre-CV times. Think Ship is on borrowed time. Will be a sad day for me and other's when Vision and Radiance size Ship's are gone...

Becoming diamond while on cruise
ONECRUISER replied to ourfamilylovescruising's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Know it's not the norm and doesn't happen, ever, but when I made Diamond Plus years ago(maybe 2009 or 10?) it was awarded to me at the Top Tier Event by the Captain. This Happened on 6th nite on a 13nite Repo Cruise, Loyalty Ambassador arranged it, called me making sure I was going be at the event and after sent me go down to get New Card with Status. And no didnt have enough Points before Cruise, was short didnt have them until 3rd nite and was SOLO earning Double. As said I know this was a one off and don't expect it happen to you -
What I experienced last couple Decades some work CD do is same every week, planned out on all Ships might even be Directed by Corporate. Though on smaller Ships still seem to be little more personal, more available/open to talk with Passengers. Can see why when one Ship was on has 1750-2050 passengers each Cruise and another 6000+ every week

Shoot Love Boat Sized Ships averaged about 600 Passengers. But from my first Royal Ship in 80's Sovereign threw my 1999 Voyager Cruise the Cruise Director(and other Staff) would be standing just inside the Theater Doors to shake Passengers hands as we walked in for the Show. In 2001 on Explorer I got to sit down and talk with the CD one on one, back then Diamonds(Top Tier then) got to meet with all Senior Staff during the Cruise... Agree, back in 80-90's swear there was lot more Activity Staff. Then Room Attendants, 30yrs ago on Sovereign each had 8 Cabins to Clean now they do Double that number, though they had lot more work to do on those 8 then higher number now.
