  1. Did you file a claim for lost cruise days? Trip Interruption covers being quarantined.
  2. I wonder how the rapid spread of diseases get started anyway. Just makes me go hmmmm?
  3. So how big are these? I believe my wife earns 1 on our upcoming cruise out of Southampton. Have to make sure we have luggage space after spending 2 weeks in London Pre-cruise and then coming back to the States.
  4. More than likely, Yes. As a matter of fact, if you are wanting to get a policy that waives pre-existing conditions for people traveling and even non traveling family members, then you should probably buy sooner rather than later. You only have to pay for the amount of insurance that you have paid today. In other words, you buy a policy today to cover the deposit, then later, as you make more payments, you increase the amount of coverage. Give Steve at TripInsuranceStore a call and can help you find a policy that meets your needs. Get the Best Trip Insurance Details, Advice (tripinsurancestore.com)
  5. If the policy covers YOUR needs or helps minimize risk in areas that are of most concern to YOU, then it's an excellent policy. If not, then you might want to look elsewhere. Doesn't fit my needs, therefore I go a different direction.
  6. Since you bought the excursion, your tickets will tell you to meet at a certain location (usually the theater), at a certain time, and the crew members will corral you into your excursion group. Then, they will escort your group off the ship and hook you up with your tour guide.
  7. Sure it's legal. What you would need to do is ensure you get a policy that is considered "Primary". Your current MSC policy is "Secondary". With the MSC policy, should you file a medical claim with them, they are going to require that show who else your filed with first. Then they will deduct what you have received in the claim and reimburse you any remainder owed. Check out Get the Best Trip Insurance Details, Advice (tripinsurancestore.com) for any additional coverages you may want now or in the future. Steve is great to work with. I would even encourage that you call them and explain your needs. Edit. Since I see after reading "Mom Says" post that I have no clue what country you reside in, my response may be totally invalid.
  8. I'm arriving at DFW on BA from LHR. I'm connecting to AS to SEA. We have GE. BA and AS are One World members. Walk me thru (paint a picture of what to expect when and how) Immigration, then collect luggage, thru Customs, where will the AS recheck luggage be, then Skytrain to Terminal E. I've googled and searched YouTube and couldn't find what I was looking for. Doesn't mean it's not there though.
  9. One of those Damned if you do, Damned if you don't situations.
  10. You have to have some type of plan. You have to have wifi or cellular connection.
  11. As I understand it, when they built Wonder of the Seas, they put wifi routers/access points in each cabin. Therefore, connectivity and speed has been much more steady.
  12. Reason is moot. Basically, what is happening here is YOU are taking a cruise from Port Canaveral and doing a 7 or 8 day closed loop cruise. While your husband is going to do a 3 or 4 days open loop cruise from Aruba to Port Canaveral.
  13. Here's a great place to start reading through to learn more about travel insurance. Get the Best Trip Insurance Details, Advice (tripinsurancestore.com)
  14. Use WhatsApp to call your friends from the ship. WhatsApp uses a different protocol than wifi calling and is less likely to be blocked.
  15. Just double check that your auto insurance is valid in Canada.
  16. I hear your concerns. I have the same concerns regarding Tenerife. However, my biggest concern is for the people and victims of the fires. Very few, including myself give 1 iotta about excursions. I'll find out when I get there.
  17. You will need this electronic approval however it’s not available yet. and if your flight has a connection in London, you’ll need their version also.
  18. Agree with c-leg. You're best bet is to call and speak to an expert (costs you nothing and they will not high pressure sell you). The broker we use is at Get the Best Trip Insurance Details, Advice (tripinsurancestore.com)
  19. My Global Entry has been in a "Pending" status since I applied on Dec 22, 2022.
  20. Follow-up if I may. Do I need to separate electronics and liquids such as at an airport security check point?
  21. I can only speak for myself. My personal time has a monetary value. (Each person can place a different value on their personal time) Do I take a 3 hour flight? Or do I drive for 12-18 hours? Do I purchase a lawn mower and spend an hour each week to mow and trim the lawn? Or, just pay someone $25? Do I spend a couple of hours researching coverage, scanning documents, filling out claim forms, etc. for a $40 loss? No, I don't. On the other hand, do the nickel and dimes add up to a couple of hundred? The that might be worth investing some time on.
  22. As Firefly stated, this could be a fee being charged by your TA, not the cruise line.
