I booked Japan for next year, but am sailing on Azamara. Because we previously sailed on them when owned by RCCL, I get my Elite Plus perks. Sailing on the Equinox in 2 weeks in Aqua, I’ll be the judge if we will return. Haven’t sailed on X since 2020, cruised 4 times on Viking Ocean since then. No nickel or diming. Very different vibe on a smaller ship which we do enjoy.

Exercise equipment.

We started cruising in 1986. I have been sailing with a celebrity since 2006. We are sailing again next month on the Equinox, which we have been on 4 times. We sail Aqua because enjoy Blu. No don’t care the the canapés, but alway ask our room steward for a cheese and fruit platter which we enjoyed with our afternoon wine. We haven’t been on Celebrity since January 2020. Since then we cruised on Viking Ocean 4 times, who do not nickel and dime us. Have a cruise booked on Azamara for next year.. our 2nd time on them. As Elite Plus, our perks are nice, but if I’m not getting what I pay for why bother. I’ll take my money to another line. We stopped counting cruises after our 50th. Celebrity is looking to the younger generations for clients, us as seniors who spend our kids inheritance (lol) are being forgotten.

Our 8 nt. Caribbean cruise next month cost 212.50 pppn, Aqua class with all inclusions and SBC. I booked thru a large online agency who had a great deal. Added Premium beverage package for additional 180.00 for both of us. Before I book I wait for sales. Booked on Azamara for a Japan intensive cruise. A great sale again which included Air, transfer, 4 nights hotels. Approximately 320 Pppn.

Had my TA check with Azamara regarding using OBC for my shore excursions. guess I’m going to wait until final payment. I’m just going to leave them in my cart. Don’t want to wait for a refund.

I had Azamara book 2 excursions for us saying I wanted to use our OBC. Finally it shows the amount but it’s not allowing us to use OBC. They are asking for a credit card. I’ve sent a message to my TA for help. What am I s doing wrong. TIA for your help

If the airline changed your flight you can advise them it is not acceptable and get your flight changed with no cost to you. The only thing is it’s only a 1/2 hour change. It has happened to me, but it was hours, had them change with no problem.

I had canceled a cruise on the Beyond, and rebooked on the Equinox for a Caribbean cruise next month, only because of the Aqua IV balcony. Have friends who loved the Beyond and didn’t mind not having a true balcony. We cruise on Celebrity because there are very few children and never feels crowded. I’m sure you will enjoy your cruise, the ship looks fantastic.

I’ve been cruising since the late 80s. I know things have changed over the years, but I hate being nickel and dimed that is currently present. We have been sailing onViking Ocean for the past 3 years have have found no cutbacks or extra charges. Yes you pay a bit more, but add up the upgrades and it’s about the same cost. Being Elite plus on X which we are returning next month, always have anAqua class cabin. Looking at the online menu there doesn’t look to have any up charge for Filet or a lobster, we’ll see. Our Next cruise we are returning to Azamara..hoping they have not changed since our last cruise many years ago. Yes we’re SENIORS, and like a wonderful crew and food and itinerary. Just my opinion

I’m on deck 11 bump out cabin on the Equinox. Have been on deck 11 numerous times and never had a noise problem.

I spoke to Captain club rep. Can only get 50% off plus gratuity. Will not combine Elite Plus perk

I just called and got upgraded for the 50% discount. I had not received a notice,but thanks to this great link, it was announced.

Just called captains club. Was able to upgrade at a 50% discount. Much better than the 15% I was offered before for my Elite plus discount.

Thanks for the updated flash sale. Called captain club had a 50 minute wait, but they had a call back. Was able to upgrade to premium beverage for $10.00 pppd plus gratuity.

We usually get the premium wine package, but when I inquired they did not have a 50% discount, so even with my Elite Plus discount I felt it’s not worth the cost. Do like better wines but we just pay the cost difference. My times the sommelier only charged us for one glass even though he kept refilling our glass. The next night we weren’t even charged the upgrade. A nice gratuity was given

I have been sailing in Aqua for years, and am Elite Plus. I pay for an A2 and get upgraded to A1 Aqua Prime. I have never waited more than 5 minutes for a table, and many times the Maitre De has the same table we’ve eaten at waiting for us. Service has been impeccable. No need for reservations.

Haven’t been on X since January 2020. We leave in 4 weeks on the Equinox. We sail in Aqua, so dine in Blu..just checked the nightly menu..included is rack of lamb, filet mignon, and lobster. There is no mention of extra cost. I’m glad they haven’t taken away the fine dining we always had in Blu. We have been sailing on Viking Ocean, small ships and excellent food and service with NO add ons..glad to be returning to X.

I booked through my online TA on a March sailing. Fortunately, I sailed on Azamara in 2008, so since I am Elite Plus on Celebrity, my status was carried over to Azamara. Not too sure what perks Azamara gives Discover Plus, but can’t wait to board the Journey.

Thanks, I’m going to check this out. The 600.00 is from AZ, I know the additional OBC is from my TA, and will have to wait until onboard. The only thing is that my OBC, doesn’t show an amount just 2 coupons no amount. When I called AZ, they confirmed the 600.00.

Have a question. I have 600.00 in OBC. I was told by Azamara I could not book my shore excursions until 30 days after I paid my final. Is this true? I’m sooo confused. Thanks

I booked my Azamara cruise with my online TA, which include air, hotels, transfers,etc. wondering when Azamara books air. Can we wait until I see flights before deciding to us their air plus for upgrading flights. Haven’t been on Azamara since 2008, which we also traveled on an inclusive package. Thanks

I am Elite Plus on X, but haven’t sailed on X since January 2020.. since then we sailed 3 times on Viking Ocean. My next cruise is on X in September. Hoping we will not be disappointed in Blu. In March we will be on Azamara Journey. Haven’t been on Azamara since 2008. So looking forward to our return and to a wonderful cruise experience.
