This year I did the 2 week Sky Princess cruise at the end of June that went to both Norway and Iceland and it was fantastic. They are doing the same cruise next year, also around the end of June.
I always take the daily program on shore with me, so I have the port agent's details if necessary. In Marseille I once tried to call the port agent when I thought we might be late back. They never answered!! My last cruise was on Princess and they no longer print the agent's details on the program. They encourage you to take a picture of the details from your television, but I couldn't always find it.
Ditto the above. Have sailed with both cruise lines several times and like them both. Personally, what I appreciate about both lines is there are lots of activities going on. Everything you mentioned you like on NCL, they have in equal measure on Princess.
You can also take the train from Maestre - short bus ride or taxi from the airport.
There is also GoOpti, a shared shuttle service. Used them before and they were very good. About EUR 30 pp. You can find them online.
Just came off the Sun Princess. When we asked to be seated at the dining room each night, we asked to share a table. They always put us with other people at a 4 or 6 seater and we met some lovely people.
We plan to take the X96 bus from the airport to the cruise port. Has anyone taken it? Was there shelving or other secure space for suitcases on the bus? I don't want to spend 1.5 hours holding onto my suitcase to stop it rolling around.
I don't remember it ever coming up. We were 4 people with 4 large suitcases and 4 smaller bags. You can probably find the information on their website.
I know someone who has 2 passports. When he went to board his cruise, he took only the other passport with him to the ship, not the one he had used for the online check in. He was refused boarding.
The OP was asking about E306 on Discovery Princess. This is a balcony cabin and the life boat obstructs the glass on the balcony, approximately up to the railing. Above the railing the view is clear.
We are six friends sailing on the Sky Princess in June, and I want to book a table for us for dinner each night at the same time. From experience, which of the 3 main dining rooms is the best? Which has the nicest decor, best wait staff, most windows, etc?
Thanks for your help.
