  1. The Hotel Concierge will be happy to add to one’s final bill. No knowledge of Ubers, except they are hated by registered cabs, and barred from official cab stands within transport hubs.
  2. There were places along Front Street, about a 15/20 minute walk. One’s personal thoughts only. However, one would question the taking a cycle ride to Marigot. It’s an extremely busy, repeat extremely busy, main artery, many cars, trucks, vans etc., (some drivers can be considered insane) and in a possible very high temperature, would not be very pleasant or considered absolutely 100% safe. If taking the ride, in the event of a possible accident, please let your Insurance Company know your plan, as they may consider it a dangerous event and request a premium on one’s standard holiday policy.
  3. Big vote for these guys for tours…… Therefore doubt they would disappoint on a beach break. Ask BB to reserve one’s beds on the prime front rank, being closest to the sea. 😉
  4. There is a Tesco Express very close to (outside) the Station…. https://www.tesco.com/store-locator/southampton/unit-2-3
  5. Many thanks for this, but it’s by Catamaran and a beach stay at Limes. We are awaiting a link delivering a Ferry crossing and Sunshine’s
  6. Many are waiting, with great interest, for the posting of a link to book both simultaneously. One knows the ferry operators and Sunshine’s are totally independent entities, with what appears to be no common management, contractual or financial connections. So a link would how to achieve this would be great. No doubt @Koohiichanwill post soon.
  7. Not a fan of Sheltered, but they have fans. The loungers on deck 7 would give better and more comfortable views, as the seated sea views from a sheltered are very restricted. Consider taking an upgraded inside on deck 13 and spend the price difference between staterooms on treats and spoiling oneself onboard. If unable to move to deck 13 the treats remain.
  8. Have no physical knowledge of an “Orient board”, because only used the vans locally. However, as Orient is a very popular destination one would have thought there could possibly be a board. But in no doubt there must be many others on CC who may have used the vans to Orient, who will post to confirm.
  9. Depending on the actual bespoke content and quality food/drinks etc, work on the private charter rate as being US$1000/1500 for the whole day. Exceptional value for up to 12 friends/family. Trust this will now give one the confidence to contact and book.
  10. Sorry for the interruption, thought it was a Cunard Dress Code no Tux discussion…. 😉😊
  11. There is only one restaurant ….. https://www.facebook.com/PillarsRestaurantAntigua/?locale=en_GB
  12. Yes, about a 15/20 minute comfortable walk from ship to start of Front Street. You’ll see the town from ship, so no getting lost or requiring directions. If had enough of walking there are many Cab/Van Taxis (Sharing) plying their trade down Front Street for a “Back to ship” ride. Prices were $3 pp, but work in $4 max. Or take the sea shuttle ferry back for $6 pp Adjacent to the sea is Boardwalk, and Front Street runs parallel behind the bars, hotels etc of Broadwalk. Remember. After a day of retail on Front Street, one’s “Plastic” will need serious therapy 😉
  13. Cunard will have this information. Day, date, time etc..
  14. Personal opinion only. Think a young man would be more interested in “ Tax Free Tech Shopping” along Front Street in Philipsburg, These stores will be happy to exchange messages on availability and pricing for any specific Tech. Plus, there are many other shops from clothing to bling. Also a great variety of food outlets and Restaurants.
  15. One’s personal opinion. A person carrying a small glass of something directly from stateroom into a lounge or dining room to consume is just so wrong. A glass of something carried by a member of the bar staff from a bar to dining room, or lounge, is perfectly acceptable.
  16. US$ 30.00 e/w plus tip….. Outward driver would be happy to be booked for one’s timed return
  17. Tried this concept, only to be informed one was not on Carnival’s (Cunard) approved list of suppliers. However, after many years have passed, one feels this concept could now have legs. Therefore, these suggestions could be now put to Carnival Executive Offices to be officially tested. Executive.Correspondence@carnivalukgroup.com Please let CC know the outcome, as a Filbuste would look good on a bar shelf, and listening to bar staff declining to serve would be interesting. Wishing luck…
  18. Think it was Hilton Midtown. CC members will kindly update. But remember Cunard charge pp, plus you’ll not be able to select room standard or position, usually one will receive a “junk” room. Best book direct with hotel to save my angst. One can still book transfers only from hotel to ship via Cunard.
  19. No idea regarding unlicensed taxis, as one would never use them. No insurance, no published tariffs, bandit territory. If seeking a budget price point ride to Orient, then there are Public Busses (Vans) from Back Street in the town. Walk along the line of busses for the large sign on dashboard for destination required. Say hi, ask fare ($2/4), board, wait for bus to fill, depart. On return, stand on sidewalk and wait for a bus/van with Philipsburg in windscreen, flag down, board.
  20. Asked this identical question many years ago (La Filbuste). Declined, sighting the problem of a guest’s wholly owned property being stored, handled and managed for profit by Cunard, because of the legal ramifications pertaining to the measure, pour and sale actions, plus the legal liability in the event of a potential loss or damage claim against Cunard.
  21. Agreed if the bars stock one preferences, sadly, for one they do not. But, the Sommelier and Commodore do substantive business.
  22. Or purchase Duty Free before aircraft boarding, or embarking Cunard from a local Supermarket or Off-licence….
  23. One’s previous posting on this thread Four to consider at various price points - All will give a great stay and are in excellent locations Albergo del Senato Albergo Santa Chiara Hotel Navona, Hotel Singer Palace
  24. Thought six bottles of the preferred imbibing liquid was actually the absolute minimum stateroom requirement on Cunard? 😀 And for day two?
