  3. They will not disappoint. Food, ambience with discreet service excellence.
  4. From memory, think the entrance for Towels only was $5/6pp and a bed was $10
  5. One word…… Marmalade Take their wine paring menu…. Also they have the capability for great a wine pairing menu for vegetarian or vegan clients. Marmalade will be happy to discuss all specific requirements. It’s good to talk. Book early, repeat book early, well in advance. Popular with locals, vacationer said and cruisers.
  6. Obviously, there must have been some penny pinching changes within the Cruise Line, as they usually pay the port for this service, to assist cruise guests .with reduced mobility. Thank you for posting….

  8. Pleased Lawrence help make one’s day in Antigua special. Thanks for posting the feedback.😊
  9. Ships and the Port Authority should lay on golf buggy shuttles from the ship to taxi ranks. Small gratuity is appreciated. Minivan taxis ply their trade up/down Front Street for fares back to ship. Just stand there and flag one down or a taxi will stop and ask “back to ship?” Then a golf buggy shuttle back to ship. If buggy not immediately available, then the rank captain will usually call for one.
  10. Know it may be a long shot, but contact the PR Tourism Board in their questions page https://cupeles.com/contact/ As they may give a special dispensation for your group to get very close.
  11. Port: Charlestown Walking? There is only the Museum. To see all of Nevis, best to take a private taxi tour. Contact a local service to discuss all sight options, they will be happy to supply child seats.
  12. Only from the pier on Orient Beach
  13. The crew of the water taxi are empathetic and very willing to assist boarding and disembarking. A few Dollars in the tip box will be appreciated. Insider Tip - For those with mobility issues only On arriving at the entrance to the taxi area, ignore the queue to the left going up the slope to the pay booths - Shuffle/Stop/Shuffle/Stop - Then down the slope. Walk straight ahead toward the water taxis (one can’t miss them). Join the post payed queue to board (don’t worry). At the entrance to the taxi piers one will find a small “pay booth”. Pay there and let them know you’ll require some assistance and the booth will organise. Enjoy….
  14. This information is as one knew it. No doubt current visitors will add. There is a distinct difference between a Water Taxi and the regular Ferry Service. The regular Ferry service, schedules, price, walking directions, entrance (outside port) are posted for the independent traveller. A Water Taxi being ‘adjacent’ to the Ship is only for the Ship Tours. Hence, the short walk inside the Cruise Port/Terminal. Independent travellers are not allowed to take a Water Taxi being used for Ship Tours. Another method to Nevis, pre COVID (open to general public) Take a taxi (about $30/35 per cab each way) to Reggie Beach Pier to catch sea shuttle to Nevis (think it was $20/25 ppp each way) to Charleston port. There was no actual timetable with plenty of transfers. Ample taxis at Nevis port. Additional: There will also be plenty of shuttle minibus taxis to Reggie and return to ship (Not sure about the fare but work on $10/12 pp e//w)

    Beach day

Personally, for $130 one would suggest you all take the All Inclusive option. Mystique does no own part of the beach….
  16. It appears one requires a beach bar with jet ski venue attached, having a menu possibly at a lower price point than quality beach restaurants. There is only one establishment that comes to mind, this is Bikini on Orient Beach. Plenty of taxis out and return. Have no other information. Wish one luck in finding a place fitting all one’s criteria.
  17. Additional - A sad memory of some tour takers Pre-Covid at Sunshines, sitting at the bar chatting, when a couple from a tour arrived. Bartender “Good afternoon, what can I get you?” “How much are the Killer Bees?”. Bartender responded. “Is that for one or two?” - “Each” The couple turned and walked away
  18. Agree, this is common knowledge. It would be nice for Sunshines if many did the walk, but the overwhelming majority on trips just take the food and two drinks they’ve “paid for” and stay put.
  19. There will be children of all ages on Cunard with clubs for all…. https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/activity-types/children/the-kids-zone?s_kwcid=AL!13500!3!!!!x!!&gclid=CjwKCAiAleOeBhBdEiwAfgmXf9AYbGgbjM-5tgiPUTb3a_JilGUsgErvoreoD4F5fJGqEJwhtwOFfxoCEzUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds One major point to be made. Cunard consider little ones a being young adults, and are treated accordingly, not “kids”, as they are considered to be, quite correctly, future long term Cunarders. It is noted, that on Cunard many young ones do form lifelong friendships with diverse people across the World. That bodes well for future relationships, both personal and in business.
  20. In the past, ship tours of Nevis if advertised a “beach stop”, in addition to places of interest, then it was Limes for about 60/90 minutes, not Sunshine’s.
  21. How can one put this?……….It’s a beach with a sewage (effluent) outfall in front of it. I for one would not even put a toe in the water. Snorkelling? Pinel Island
  22. One has a preference for Pinel Island for a snorkel in the protected Marine Park. No booking required for the Pinel Ferry from Orient Beach. Make a one’s “base” on Pinel at either at Karibuni or Yellow Beach (Booking advisable at either), for from the beach, with gentle waves, snorkelling, or if stronger swimmer, then bigger rocks/waves and more fish round the headland to the north. No doubt others on CC with chime in giving their choices, then one can make an informed decision. But the codicil added, “subject to weather conditions”, as this can change the experience.
  23. Book the tour direct with the management company. Also, one can book the out/return taxi online, again direct at end of checkout. https://chukka.com/destinations/barbados/harrisons-cave/
  24. One was suggesting a total day/beach/lunch etc., for a memorable experience on Antigua. Understand one has only a singular requirement. Trust there’ll be a beach found to be great.
