  1. We do it online ……Plus tax free…..
  2. Slightly off piste. Just a thought…… If booked in a crossing, shop for and take 7 evenings Westbound, then hit Macy’s for the 7 Eastbound. DW liaises with a personal shopper, all items of interest are made ready for trying etc.
  3. Antigua official taxi fares to assist https://www.antiguanice.com/v2/uploadsfiles/Taxi and tour fares - ABTB final.pdf
  4. reservation@stkittsmarriott.com - The will reply promptly and happy to answer all questions
  5. T'erds is a word constructed by my Bajan friends, being a combination of two words Towels and Herds. The T from Towels and 'erds from Herds to describe some tourists. TOWELS: Arrive by the cheapest means; deliberately take the most annoying spot on the beach to spoil a view of paying clients; spread the ship's Towles; constantly repeat the mantra "beaches are free" like a demented parrot; do not spend anything at the resort; bring food and drink browsed from the ship's buffet, all wrapped in a ship's napkin; bury their picnic debris in the sand; use the sea, beach and all the venue's facilities for free; if there is charge for toilets, decline and use the sea; return to the ship by the cheapest means. Then when back in the Ship boast they spent the day at Carambola (Kim Sha et al) taking lunch and drinks there. HERDS: Arrive loudly en masse; stay loudly; have shouting conversations on their mobiles, or with other herd members, albeit 2 feet or 20 yards way; bring coolers full of Supermarket bought beer and food, then demand ice for free; bring boom boxes and play on highest volume; sometimes pay for beds but insist a colony of friends is created; complain about the price of venue's food as the reason for buying a single slice of pizza. Seek to use Hotel or Beach facilities for free, failing that, turn the sea into a Urinal (aka going for a swim) Abuse or ridicule other guests, and members of the venue's staff, solely for the group's amusement. Basically, it's a group who knowingly do everything possible to spoil the genteel ambience of the venue, and to annoy as many people as it is physically possible. Then leave loudly en masse. Other items of annoyance can be added to each of the above definitions as required.
  6. If just a quick beach, beer, bed, brolly etc., with no frills, then consider Runaway Bay being the closest.
  7. Turners is now a destination for independent holiday makers and tour operators. It was a good place to visit by genteel cruisers, but now just okay. Was a fan, not now. Shared minivans go there at (I think at $8 pp e/w), but the whole on the van have to agree on a return time. Usually too early for some visitors. There is a bar and restaurant, toilets, beds for hire with static and umbrellas for shade. Restaurant and drink prices are a tad high for what’s delivered. If going, buy a bottle of rum from Duty Free before leaving, say $10, because a very small shot at Turners was $7 seven years ago. If any rum remaining in the bottle donate to the oldest local person seen. It stays on the island. The beach sand sea can drop sometimes steeply along the whole front, with easier of access to the far left of beach, facing the sea. If going, as one enters towards the sea, on the right side were stalls, selling shells, clothing etc., ask for beds and umbrella to set up beyond, right of, the stalls, away from the noisy masses. Hawkers can be persistent. Yes we do go, but only when travelling with companions who express a wish to do so. Hope this assists
  8. Another: S.H.T. = Ship’s crew (noisy), Herds, Towels
  9. Think a dedicated minibus for one’s party will be $40/50. Plenty of taxis out, and driver will be pleased to take a timed booking for t*e return.
  10. We book a day room direct in advance. Never go through a booking agent. TTE Protocol is to rock up, flash cash, don’t tell them one is from Carnival (lie), take lift, press down, set up a bar tab, enjoy.
  11. Marriott day rooms are Marriott standard hotel rooms with bed, shower etc., for changing, storing clothing and valuables, then shower, towel and change. Availability is based on hotel occupancy. Some book a room in advance, while many rock up. However, we do book. 90% of visitors take a day pass without a room. As there have been price changes posted, feel it would be better to contact reservations direct with regard to a booking and current (today) pricing.

  13. Think we paid around $120.00 pp 5+ years ago for the day including lunch/drinks
  14. Plenty of taxis at port Work on $50/60 each way. If you wish to explore the markets, asked to be dropped there. Restaurants can get busy, best to book in advance, suggest La Villa for a shabby chic dining experience with an excellent set Menu (one can upgrade a course if wished). Do book early. PS: work on 45 minutes there, but for peace of mind allow 60 + minutes return, as traffic can be appalling heavy when multiple ships are in port.
  15. It has to be via a tour through The Prickly Pear company, as they own the island. One contact them direct for availability and pricing. http://www.pricklypearisland.com
  16. Their Virgin Piña Colada, looks the same, decorated the same, and is very drinkable.
  17. Yes, it a very popular (the best) place for lunch for residents, holiday makers and cruisers.
  18. This posted thread could be the main reason why nobody has replied. People are not interested in taking a walk to a Tobago beach.
  19. The World has changed since COVID. Many places have increased prices and /or limited day only availability. Best to contact the resort direct to obtain up to date information, and all one’s questions answered. Then one can post all details on this thread to assist CC.
  20. The Marriott is totally T’erd free……. This is one of the reasons why so many book. https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/skbrb-st-kitts-marriott-resort-and-the-royal-beach-casino/overview/ https://www.google.co.uk/travel/hotels/entity/CgsI6pnSt4qt6YC3ARAB/lightbox/CAESU2h0dHBzOi8vaW1hZ2VzLnRydmwtbWVkaWEuY29tL2hvdGVscy80MDAwMDAwLzM5ODAwMDAvMzk3NjQwMC8zOTc2Mzc0LzdjODU5ZWVkX3ouanBn?g2lb=2502548%2C2503771%2C2503781%2C4258168%2C4270442%2C4284970%2C4291517%2C4306835%2C4308226%2C4597339%2C4718358%2C4723331%2C4731329%2C4757164%2C4814050%2C4861688%2C4864715%2C4874190%2C4879519%2C4886082%2C4886480%2C4893075%2C4902277%2C4903082%2C4904256%2C4905351%2C4905599%2C4906050%2C4920622%2C4926165&hl=en-GB&gl=uk&ssta=1&grf=EmQKLAgOEigSJnIkKiIKBwjnDxACGAcSBwjnDxACGAkgADAeQMoCSgcI5w8QARgHCjQIDBIwEi6yASsSKQonCiUweDhjMTIxYTRhZDQ2NmJiNjM6MHhiNzAxYTU2OGE2ZjQ4Y2Vh&rp=EOqZ0reKremAtwEQ6pnSt4qt6YC3ATgCQABIAcABAg&ictx=1&sa=X&ved=0CAAQ5JsGahcKEwjgqYyVxbb8AhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQAw&utm_campaign=sharing&utm_medium=link&utm_source=htls
  21. From the ship it’s about a 10 minute walk. Exit Port Zante, turn left into the main road, walk about 3 minutes, you’ll see a wood footbridge on left, take it, this is the entrance to the Ferry Terminal.
  22. May one suggest their very special (2 sharing) PR seafood Paella. It’s the Head Chef’s speciality, made with care from scratch, and the wait is absolutely worth it. Leaving time for gentle appetisers (Frito for 2 again sharing ?), conversation and a cocktail or two. 😃 Let them know when booking it’s a special occasion, as they always will do something 😉
  23. Personally, have no idea, but the official board will and be happy to answer questions. https://sanjuanpuertorico.com/visitors-information-tourism-offices/
