  1. Thanks for sharing all of the Normandy pictures. At this point that may be the closest we get. As I mentioned I tried Mike who was booked but he recommended two people. One of them was also booked but recommended others - all booked. The other was available which was good news. The bad news was that he does his tours from Cherbourg and can't get to Le Havre. I'm continuing to look but unless the Princess excursion adds more spots we probably won't get there this trip. So again thanks for the pictures and I hope you keep enjoying your cruise.
  2. The Discovery Concierge Lounge also has fizzy and regular water bottles out all day and night for the taking. Hopefully it's the same on the Enchanted.
  3. Thanks for checking in. Glad it's just the cruddy Internet and not that you're ill. Hope the weather improves.
  4. They've been trying to do that for a while, they need to aim younger to fill the ships going forward. As long as they don't completely alienate the rest of us I'm OK with this.
  5. The Emerald has enough of a problem that they issued this notification to all passengers who are boarding today in Melbourne Australia. Stay safe out there folks! In response to the increasing number of cases of COVID-19 currently spreading throughout Australia caused by the spread of new subvariants, we have updated the mask-wearing policy for your voyage. - Guests are required to wear face masks on board while indoors. - We recommend guests wear face masks outdoors on onboard where larger numbers of people are congregating and physical distancing cannot be maintained. - Masks are required during embarkation, disembarkation, when on Princess transportation such as water shuttles and motorcoaches, and during Princess shore excursions. - We recommend you follow these onboard masking protocols while ashore independently, particularly when indoors, on public transportation or in crowded areas. - Health experts recommend the use of higher-grade masks such as KN95 or surgical. Replacement masks will be available on board if needed.
  6. Sounds like the Celebrity excursion is the same as the one offered by Princess which we've done twice. Well worth it to experience the canal first on the huge cruise ship where you can actually feel the movement and touch the (slimy) walls if you wish. Really a nice day.
  7. It seems that the Grand Princess has enough cases to warrant a delayed departure for a deep clean. Friends are boarding on the 17th (tomorrow if you're in Australia) and got this:
  8. Happy to hear that they are passing along the comments. I wrote up Vanessa and Iggy among others. They were outstanding. We also enjoyed the Fiesta night. It was well attended and the Margaritas were great.
  9. Thanks for sharing the information about the D-Day tour. We are going on a British Isles cruise next June and the Princess version has been sold out since we booked. Mike's tour is booked but he did recommend a couple of others that I plan to check out.
  10. When we went at the end of October people were pretty casual. In fact there was a younger group of 8 who were all wearing a tshirt with the same design and a couple of them wore backward ballcaps. I wore jeans and a long sleeve shirt as we planned to have dinner in the buffet. We were in a suite but we were invited shortly before the event time so I had asked if I needed to change and was told I was fine. Other than the large group the dress was pretty much smart casual.
  11. Glad it worked out for you. And what you were told was exactly what I had been told in terms of price. It seems like they extended the trial and chose to formalize who would be invited during that period. However, their press release didn't make it sound like it was a trial and it seemed like the "free for suite passengers" part was the way it was going to be indefinitely. Never a dull moment with Princess!
  12. I never miss Italian night and the Eggplant Parmesan has always been my favorite. It does vary by ship and the Discovery version is definitely the largest of all. Tasty!
  13. Good to hear that they are still doing real moveover offers! Congratulation! We got a terrific one pre-pandemic and jumped on it as did our friends. We moved from a 14 day South America cruise and were given one or two cruises up to 18 days total in an upgraded cabin with "protection" for EZAir, Princess insurance, and port fees. That basically meant that if any of these items for the replacement cruise was more than what we paid, they would eat the difference. If it was less, we would get a refund. Amazingly the latter turned out to be the case for us. And we got the money we paid in cruise fare back as refundable OBC on the first cruise. We picked an 11 day cruise from Singapore and a 7 day Alaska cruise. We ended up in a full suite for both and our friends were in a mini suite. Incredible deal!
  14. Well that's interesting. My friend confirmed repeated the same thing yesterday. Maybe it's just below decks or something else changed?
  15. The crew masking happened after you disembarked. I heard from someone on the Enchanted on Wednesday that they are now "Level 2 Covid" which means enhanced cleaning measures and masks for crew. Not sure what all of the levels are but I've been paying attention as we will be onboard in December. Hope you feel better soon.
  16. I didn't ask about conditioner when we were there a couple weeks ago but there was a large dispenser filled with lotion. We did get eye masks, a shower cap, Qtips, and a tube of "chapstick" wrapped in a washcloth then too. As for the rest it's either supply chain or they are just plain phasing it out.
  17. Have you talked to Vanessa in the Concierge Lounge about 360? As for the water your steward should definitely deliver two nightly. If they don't bottled water is always out in the Concierge Lounge and you should be able to take what you need. And if they aren't out (such as later at night) there should be some in the open cabinet immediately across from the buffet.
  18. The Enchanted crew have been told to wear masks again the last couple of days. Hope you stay healthy.
  19. Yep, it's tier 3 https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/travel/cruising-rules The virus seems to be revving up on the Enchanted too from what I have read. Stay safe out there folks!
  20. Good to see that you're still in a suite. It would have been quite jarring to go from the Sky Suite to a balcony. It looks like you are in a PH suite. Is Iggy your cabin steward? If so, he is fantastic. He had ALL of the (non-aft facing) PH suites assigned to him when we were on the ship at the end of October but he still managed to get us what we wanted when we wanted it. Sometimes even before we knew we wanted something LOL. We were in R603. I also got a giggle about your experience doing the survey while onboard. Enjoy the rest of your cruise!
  21. Did you have to purchase your picture or did they start printing them out and giving them to 360 diners? The picture of my DH and I was one of the rare good ones and I would have liked to have had it.
  22. After experiencing 360 as part of a trial almost two weeks ago I had heard that they would charge $150 per person and shared it here. That turned out to not be the case and they have announced that it would be complementary for suite passengers and some others. As for the age limit I am not sure. But would the 16 YO enjoy a 7 course meal from the Mediterranean?
