  1. agree .. Hope X scales down to more elegant ships, but not gaudy; a bigger, better spa with T pool......new dining options (not fast food) E Class was fun, but after we finish cruising the series (excluding XL), we are returning to S Class...Esp with the creaking issue on 2 of the E ships
  2. What fed ct did you file in? Curious to hear how it progresses, motions etc..Any thoughts of Class Action?
  3. if they treat frequent cruisers who are Zenith that way...imagine how others will make out.. Very shabby! Def shafted you on the cancelled cruise and very poor service from Cap Club and Retreat staff. Sad to hear that about EDGE! Hope you enjoy Cunard!
  4. Lots of arm chair attorneys on this thread...good thing we are not opining about brain surgery! Most active practiioners would not give opinions on a social website, esp outside the jurisdiction where licensed!
  5. Sorry about your toe....ouchy, I wrap nasty couch legs with small towels...or bubble wrap.... Bigger issue seems to be the noisy cabins,..see thread, Ordering my ear plugs today..hope we win the quiet cabin lottery

  7. Words like.." package offerings subject to change, subject to availabilty" usually cover that... We always ask before we order...and always confirm spa pricing before our service begins..another squirelly area!
  8. isnt there some way to de- construct and then re insert the cabins ? or is it just random... someone should be accountable!
  9. Our best excursions were X bookings in Europe where an excursion dept or ship staff member comes along who speaks the local lang... This was in addition to the actual tour guide. Very well planned and executed!

  11. never read the full contract as we are mainly interested in insurance issues if we get sick or injured .Is there an arbitration/ mediation clause, where is jurisdiction set? if these cases were goldmines I'm sure we would have heard! Not a cheerleader but "it is what it is." We tried a suite but prefer AQ class so not directly affected...other than our sympathy .
  12. Blu Will accomodate changes if they can. I have all gravy, sauces and dressing on the side...never an issue..
  13. never had a problem saying no thank you...and telling them I have ALL the products already at an online discount..with free ship and free samples.. I used to add an extra tip but not since they raised the mandated grat .. They add that to any pr9dict purchased as well....no idea why?? so I stopped buying. they have ok prices in the Cosmetic/ perfume store, and are helpful!

The issues raised here are pretty much "old news", but will likely continue as people show up expecting to be greeted by their assigned butler, no longer available in lower suites Most folks on CC have already vented about the changes made without compensation or an option to cancel, and are now focused on relating how their experience was under the new non butler system for SS. Including neex to call room service instead of Butler service, use of Reps in Retreat, etc.. Mostly negative from what I gather.

  19. surprised they had you wait there. Usually one changes in the treatment rm itself...Sounds like APEX is diff or the spa protocol has changed. I'll report back after ASCENT in January.
  20. I do not buy any products anymore b/c it involves the extra svc charge. Products are cheaper online often with free shipping and a few samples thrown in.. I let them know before the spiel starts..
