very nice pics and info..places we have never been to..so thank you. ..the Firestick stuff is over my head but I try to learn.... we manage okay on most ships with whatever they offer... long travel day for us today....we are now in Fl til Spring..maybe a trip home for business.. We will drive to the E Coast for our Jan cruise on ASCENT its chilly and breezy but nice and happy sunshine!

always good to vent but seems the new plan is in place! Consensus is if you cannot cancel, try to enjoy any booked cruises and then decide how to proceed in the future!

You are correct...closest X now has to a T pool,... real ones were on Mercury and Century..with the salts and minerals and stations with strong jets..Our favs were Canyon Ranch on QM 2..great spa!

Any children we have seen in BLU have been well behaved..and well dressed...Very cute! Have seen unruly/ inebriated adults and too many louder large groups at times... Keep in mind, suite guests can visit there subject to availability, so it is not a 100 % kids free zone .

I think you will love it.. great aft views...large outdoor balc, larger than a reg iv cabin and 4 interesting mdrs included! We enjoyed it on the EDGE and have one booked on APEX!

We never had any taxi issues from. the beach area or the 17th St hotels. Recently we drive over a day ahead from the west coast, Fl., and park at our pre cruise hotel, and then garage at the port..no access issues. The garage for the E Class terminal is a hike, so we drop our luggage to the porter and I get dropped off with our carryons. My husb circles back to the garage..and then meets me at the ship's entrance.

We enjoy Lawn Club Grill.. we share flat bread( pizza) .. I would save my salad to eat with the main course, order steak, seafood skewer, grilled veggies, baked potato..and sample all of the sides. Lots of food! The warm cookie is a must!

no but some tables are close..people are often friendly (hit or miss) ...but proximity means less privacy!

Any info about the gym, spa or T pool.. all important areas for us? Summit being M Class does not have a great thermal suite compared to S and even E Class.

We recently enjoyed BLU compared to Luminae on Beyond..and have AQ class booked on Ascent next month.. We also have a few Specialty Rest pre booked for variety!

From what I am sensing..we will have to check receipts, and our daily acct on the Ascent. X seems to be getting more inconsistent...hard to imagine!. We enjoyed Edge 2x and Beyond . We are just checking off Ascent and Apex.....and trying Silho again! It might be a good fit! Glad we are not into wine.. Sal will order best available on our Classic Plan with dinner. I splurge on Baileys after dinner..usually they don't bother with any upcharge Hope you enjoy the trip.. Bungee Jumping.. not for me!

What time did you dine at FC? We have it booked for 6 pm for our first night on Ascent..Hope the noise will not kick in that early..although the bar area below will be very busy.. We can always ask for dessert/ birthday cake to go or send cake to BLU for the next night.

We will also be on board 1/28..nice roll call going! We are in AQ Class so will dine in BLU but have several res at Specalty Rest. If you try any let us know how you liked them! Hope we do not have any odor issues..I am sensitive to mold and tobacco smell..

Great format..I am following part 1 with the link.. We tried Oasis once.. in a regular balc cabin but it was not for us. Ship was too big..like a mall. Specialty dining did not compare favorably with X. Even with pre reserved tix, we still had to wait on lines for events.. Glad we tried it but better for families..and active cruisers..flow rider, zip lines etc.. will look forward to the X part!

there are several Hilton properties in the area. Embassy Suite ( old and due for a refurb), Hampton and Garden Inns...Better rates!

Are photo costs high as someone noted? We like to get a portfolio frame with a photo of the ship and room for an 8x 10 portrait, and maybe 1 or 2 more. Big birthday cruise!
