  1. oh my..scary beautiful.. good day to stay indoors!
  2. MERCURY.. she was.one of our first and fav Celebrity ships. On one Merc cruise..we hit a bad storm going thru Straits of Fl on the way back to port. Ship listed ? ( tilted), very sharp....and we fell out of bed..kind of a scary event....we were told by Captain to stay in our cabins with our vests at the ready! In the morning, the disembark deck was flooded..auto doors were stuck open. Crew worked all night picking up broken dishes! We were happy to get off sloshing along wet carpets, and felt sorry for those joining a very soggy ship! Hope you do okay!
  3. We always get something like this. Cap Club? But I have not been able to order any extra floral arrangements on line ??????
  4. Amazing action shot! Did the Dolphins follow the ship for awhile!. Always a thrill!
  5. do you find the gradual time changes are easier than just flying and catching up in a day or two..? we manage ok going east on an overnight flight from JFK, but when going west.. we find it is harder to adjust.. that's why we cruised to Hawaii from LA
  6. so far quite an enjoyable review did u see any of the sargasso seaweed at the beach?
  7. not really.. and many of us do not want to cruise with them! Most kids on Celebrity are properly dressed, well behaved, and supervised by their parents. They seem to enjoy cruising with class!
  8. we have been generally happy with the photograhy on E Class ships We bought a few small albums.. Disappointed on Beyond b/c at the end, the packages were cancelled. We bought a few nice shots and a portfolio frame so it worked out okay. we never leave with just a link..always get out prints to go!
  9. we had our lite breakfast in Tuscan on BEYOND & EDGE ( 2X) .. Great location.
  10. OMG..guess she is aging! very bad news for those cancelled and future travel yikes!
  11. hope weather and seas are calmer we decided years ago that when we cross the Atlantic, it will be on QM2 an ocean liner. Built for the high seas. (very interesting history) Caught the tail end up to Canada on her and she sailed truly smooth..
  12. very interesting..was it crowded? did they still offer the bkfast drinks?
  13. as to Sunset Veranda..yes, long walk to elevs but large syaterroom and large balc.. great aft views..on E Class
  14. Your photos did not disappoint.. They are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing! A thrilling experience, no doubt! On our partial canal transit which I think was on a Royal ship, the space going through the lock was tight. one of the trugs (?) or something scraped our ship. Our Captain had a fit and had a paint crew out there next port..painting the litte scrape. I still remember reading the Path Between the Seas( David McCullough..sp?).before our cruise. very long and maybe dated now but a great history.
  15. it is wishful thinking/ marketing ..on Celeb's part. Perfectly well dressed younger cruisers who are willing to spend on Specialty dining like LPChef, adventure excursions and Retreat Class, etc.. But they are still willing to take "oldsters" money just as fast!
  16. We received 40 points for a short cruise on BEYOND in a sky suite. For Ascent in AQ class we will earn 35 pts and then less for an SV on APEX.. we have no goal and will never read past E +...current perks at thst level work ok for us..hope they do not mess with it! * * * * * * I am enjoying all the pet stories..our beloved pets leave pawprints on our hearts!
  17. teying to catch up on this teview.. very well done! the Perfect Spa Day ad looks very inviting!
  18. Hope you have a great passage through the canal and get a some interesting photos. We've only done a partial from east (before expansion), and it was perfect...Our ship had great placement in line.. We took an excursion from Lake Gatun (?) and had wonderful canal views...but a full transit is still on our list. I read an article this morning on my phone's weather app that the area down there is in drought and two feeeder lakes (humanmade) do not have sufficent water from rain to adequately supply the canal. Article said they are limiting large shipping vessels. If you hear anything let us know. E N J O Y !
  19. I like them both but second one shows off the bloom! We have not been to Bermuda in a few yrs..great place to explore. We never miss the FROG and ONION..not just for tourists!
