  1. We enjoyed an afternoon Tea in Quebec at the Hotel Frontenac.. mostly ladies from our roll call while the guys wandered the battlefields. It was very well done.. Res are needed..hope they are still doing it.
  2. hope this does not catch on.. maybe a mini duck hunt would be ok in the children's center
  3. service charge is also added to the bill for any products purchased..so I stopped buying!
  4. X used to offer a nice tea towards the end of the cruise in a Specialty dining rm ( often Tuscan) for Cap Club Elite. Plated tea "sams" , petit pastry.. and served tea. It was very nice but not at the most convenient time. Not at all elaborate as the afternoon event on Cunard! Not sure what is offered in E Class ships...
  5. Seems it is cleary spelled out. Did you read before buying it? (OP. recently joined this forum so not sure what history is with X?)
  6. Wow! Gen Z is treated like Royalty in EDEN and by thd Cast of the show! Glad proud mama Charla will be the star of EDEN on her birthday!
  7. not sleek enough when wearing a diamond bracelet or watch..and probably annoying as it catches on things. Our grandson got one for the tall slide at summer camp after he passed the deep water test!
  8. we used to enjoy IZ..Over the Rainbow.. Now we ignore..but have been lucky with short hold times..
  9. same here.. eliminates stress of uncertainty. ..
  10. Thermal suites are okay but diff from S Class. The heated loungers are in a sep room ..that gets hot if its sunny during the day.. We have tried the various rms and enjoyed. The hangibg swing seats are a waste....Overall space could have been designed better and there still is no T POOL within the spa! Spa discounts are usually best if you pre book/ prepay online. AQ rm was fairly narrow for working out and the promised bands abd kettle weights never arrived..no worries, the gym is well equipped. BLU is the highlight but we do book a few Specialty Dinners to avoid boredom! We like EDEN( regular menu), Fine Cut and Raw on Five ( a la carte).
  11. great pics.. so far EDEN dinner and shows there are looking like highlights! Re Veggies in BLU or MDRs.. etc. I always ask for double portion and try to skip alot of carbs. Salads are also a good veggie choice.. as a side or main! Buffet has best veggies..but one has to hunt around! Hope you enjoy it all!
  12. Charla These are the best photos and coverage of the kids/ tween/ teen area I have found.. thank for posting. Gen Z quite the ham. Hope she will enjoy it. Going to show pics to our 8 yr old .to see if he might try it. Do you know if they have " fidget" toys there and maybe a quiet space. He adheres to a structured program but sometimes likes down time. He'd love that little nook!
  13. Hope you find them..snap a selfie! We had fun when we sailed with Charla and a great roll call bunch... but it was a short cruise and we were in diff accomodations (our one time only suite!). Sometimes you see the same people over and over but others you never run into!
  14. some people naturally have a good eye! and good writing comes from the heart!
  15. Reading through this thread shows many cruisers are safety conscious, but very dependent on their devices! Glad there have not been any incidents with mismatched/ ungrounded plugs! Maybe X should issue an FAQ in the Welcome Aboard Daily.?
  16. Bed by bath does make room feel more spacious.. When we had bed by inf balc.. we kept the bi-folds open. The .bed was right to edge of inf balc...husb had to step onto it to get out of his side of the bed..awkward!
  17. no.. and do not chip me!
  18. you can pre book and then must pre pay ahead of the cruise just like excursions or dining...use credit card or OBC. Prices req pre pay of the mandated Grat as well.. it's in the Cruise Planner..a bit of a hard to find spot but my spouse has been able to locate it after being frustrated. There are slots with various discounts but not many or prime times! Still..I do the best I can to save a few dollars and pick the slots I prefer. Now I just get a basic facial and massage b/c prices have increased! Note that if you buy products, they also tack on the mand grat..better prices/ samples/ free shipping on line!
  19. Maybe yes for a part time job..but not going to argue here. .We find port check in staff helpful and nice!
  20. many port workers do not live near the port..some told me they are a distance away..cheaper housing. Some park offsite and must shuttle over .
  21. hotels have both! put them on before heading to the port..just in case..it IDs the ship!
  22. Ports are lucky to have folks willing to work there..It's,not such an easy commute or dealing with a few self important impatient people..
  23. thats the way it should be
