  1. I always tell people we feel at home when we climb the gangway towards the hull entrance and smell that particular scent. Once thru the entrance and past security check in desk we smell again another odor either on Deck 2 or 3 and know we ARE home once again on board the Queen Mary 2... Only 25 days till we share that experience with a friend accompanying us for the first time sailing on her.
  2. Yes, M318 is sold out except the lower cabins. From Britannia Balcony to Grand Duplex SOLD OUT. The only open is on M318A the TA from SOU to NYC connected to the 4th of July Sailing with very little if any available. At one time M318 was removed from the schedule totally. Some may have cancelled and grabbed them up.
  3. Lamb Gyros Lucky to have a lot of Mid East and Greeks in the area. Humus, Shepard's Salad, Tzatziki Sauce (prefer my own) BaBa Ganoush, etc......etc.......etc......etc......
  4. Just approaching the Pier and seeing her size. Also from some neighbor blocks you can see her over the buildings roof tops.
  5. We agree Twinings around the ship. If we needed replacing, we would even pickup what we wish from the Kings Court for our cabin's supply. But we're happy with what was on board without having to bring anything on board.
  6. Welcome to Cruise Critics and to the Cunard Line Board......
  7. Sunday should be a easy day except for some areas of the city going to beaches. But you don't have to worry about that.
  8. Don't think so, but just consider traffic and construction delays in your travels.
  9. Thank you .......thought so....tried to remember pictures.....Thank you again...
  10. Ha.....I was looking at the paint at the window. If white or black? I think Deck 4 is black maybe. Yes, know about the people who don't like Deck 6 because of the Promenade Deck walkers especially in the morning. Also joggers. Good Point! We like to go thru and keep a listing of the cabins in case we want to repeat one on Booking. Thank You! PS...maybe you look a bit like Captain Warwick........
  11. Frank, Looks like you r on Deck 6 of the QM2 ?
  12. NE John is on the 23rd to 30th leg...
  13. Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain 513 Henry St, Brooklyn, NY 11231 Not that far from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal Interesting place to visit....
  14. My favorite. But also love Frozen Custard on the Jersey Shore on the Boardwalk.
  15. WOW..... just had it this morning at home and homemade.... Can't get enough Smoke Salmon.....
  16. Ditto..... We were on in Sept/Oct 2022 PG QM2 and were extremely happy with our 14 days sailing to the NE/CAN. I was surprised with the Silent Disco being considered by Cunard on any of their ships. I saw it on TV. Passengers on board in the Disco bouncing around, bobbing up and down etc... with no visible music is weird. I hope there was music for others without phones. We did have several small disappointments but no way did it disturb any part of our trip. Some issues with meat and chicken - corrected. Missing my Darjeeling Tea - just use other types. But there was so many Flambe Tables in use, at one point there was a traffic jam. And no problem with the Cheese Trolley with about 8-9 choices available with accompaniments. And special requests were accepted with a smile all the time. ballroom-cruiser ditto with you.........I carefully read individual reviews for ship as well as land base and see what to read it and what maybe behind it. In 33 days I am expecting the same service as we have had in the past and Looking Forward to boarding her once again. BTW... I must state to be fair, we have not had the opportunity to experience the QV or QE and sailed across the pond that may make a difference.
