  1. Strawberries are #1. Especially when a making with - 1. Strawberries dipped in Dark Chocolate 2. Strawberries made in homemade strawberry sauce used on Strawberry Shortcake 3. Homemade Strawberry Sorbet w an Ice Cream Freezer.
  2. The ones that were first being introduced to the us were Mrs Paul's and were very good and well accepted. We also got Homemade Fish Cakes from our local fish store well known in the area and were really great. Now a days in a pinch there are Gordon's which are not at all bad and accepted. I know there are many, many personal opinions in Cruise Foodies about food and products. We have to accept what one likes or enjoys and may not be accepted by another. I know my family brought us up with good quality food which involved fish. So I can not personally remark on others acceptance and personal attraction to taste.
  3. CB especially with Fried Chicken w Sweet Butter
  4. Apple Cranberry Crumb Muffin But also love Corn Muffin.......but Corn Bread also great...
  5. CGT, Agree a lot with you...... Still like Smooth with Concord Grape. It was a school type of lunch with refrig needed. And Mom would make it after school snack. Pancake w Syrup I prefer from Vt. not NYS or Canada. I prefer real pork sausage or applewood bacon. I like Sam Adam or Brooklyn Beer made in Greenpoint Bklyn. I remember Rheingold made in Willliamsburg. American Cheese still is useful. It's not suppose to be like elite cheese you would use on Welsh Rarebit. But has you said basic GC Sandwich. Though I use to like to get MCD at the beginning of the year with a Big Mac for 99, since close by I like Burger King. Really coffee products not there but thick shakes.
  6. We sail NE/CAN all the time mostly and never use it. We sailed 14 days September and October to NE/CAN to Quebec and back and totally no problem and visited most of your places. Good Luck.....
  7. i believe Officers are not expecting to receive gratuities and would not accept monetary offerings.
  8. Sorry to disagree but it's up to one's taste, Also when it was introduced and accepted. One will say the same thing about items and variations the are currently but used at this time. Have to understand that many items that were developed grew into what is now in use as variations. And many items that were once in use and now not on the shelves were once accepted. That is the food industry.in the past, now and soon in the future...
  9. Sorry but you have to work around the slices to see the Big Apple....
  10. The outer boros.. are interesting too!
  11. 21 days before boarding you will be able to open the Checklist in your My Cunard Voyage page on the Cunard Site. There you will get the further documents you will need and further information you will need to complete like the credit card you will use for on board purchases. The boarding pass you will printout along with the luggage tags and e ticket will show the assigned time Cunard will ask you to arrive at the Terminal. They assign the time, you will not be able to select the time you wish.
  12. I just recently the MCT schedule and looks very congested.
  13. We have always used the credits individually and we are Diamond. Never honestly heard of combo~ing the credits and used them on our individual instruments. Best to ask online.
  14. Maybe if a particular ship is laying overnight at Port.
  15. If you are suggesting the Tender Driver you have to remember that he is part of a crew of several crew members operating the tender. Plus he never leave the controls and constant watching.
  16. Never really saw of heard any offering gratitude to a musicians either in the band, bars like the Commodore Club or Chart Room.
  17. I haven't seen one since we were on HAL after we switches from the QE2. When we started with the QM2, never remembered seeing one.
  18. We do take cash in different dollar values to use for on board tips. If they help carry your carry on to your room, room service as an example do appreciate the extra gratitude you show to them. We also keep on hand money, if you go on any tours, some passengers due show a gesture toward the tour guide and the driver of the vehicle. Then we do at the end of the sailing if the waitress, asst.'s, wine steward and also room steward, if they showed exceptional service. And the longshoreman taking your luggage out of the terminal to the street side.
  19. Yes we did have buffets with all sort of items and two carving boards. Also when you came they took your bar order and brought a radish tray on chipped ice with radishes, celery, carrots etc.. And also they brought the cubes of butter on chipped ice for the bread.. Such traditional dishes and nothing like you see today....
  20. I remember all the buffets as I grew up especially in Long Island called Patricia Murphy's - what buffets.
  21. No The only Chocolate Buffet close to the end of the sailings was on the HAL.
