  1. A spreadsheet is my playground. I am an advance expert with spreadsheets.. You can anything with spreads......
  2. Have to try the Mary Pickford. Kathy, can get it at any bar or a particular one?
  3. Since only twice a year the QM2 goes to the Caribbean we don't go any more. But we did like to go shopping and some Island products and enjoy local food dishes in the native restaurants. Now as you said,72 this year, would most likely enjoy the deck, activity in the water, listen to local music and use the facilities with less crowds. We did have fun in the past. But will always enjoy sailing in and out from the observation decks especially in the early morning with the island fog or haze and the approaching mountains.
  4. Of course the entertainment depends on the reasoning. Commodore Club is simple music that can accompany conversations in the evening. Afternoon is good for gentle exchangings while some use for reading Chart Room can be very upbeat with Jazz for listening only since it can interfere while talking. Commodore is off the mainstream while in located along (Broadway) Corridor with alot of traffic.
  5. I think it's to the developer. My is more intense with information. So it a personal choice.
  6. The only time you would stay on is like us. When you exhaust island or Port over multiple times. How many times on repeated sailings can you walk again around St Thomas. Always mostly the last Port before the USA. On a New England/Canada sailing getting offer Boston or Halifax. Not saying there is nothing to see but last sailing we didn't to Boston. Maybe this time yes. Last time Halifax, we like Salty's to have lunch at and walk and see the summertime in the Public Gardens. So there are reasons can also be altered in case of weather.
  7. We had no problems or trouble with visiting Our Folio on our last sailing this past fall. Matched paper bill vs folio.....
  8. Certain islands that we have visited many times we would stay on. Enjoy having the ship to ourselves and enjoy a quiet deck chair with the island as aa backdrop. I also enjoy listening to the local music on my Old Walkman. Island music is energizing.
  9. I remember passing them on the QE2...
  10. A shame we lost such history I think with that upgrade once. Was a valuable source of information. I now keep A spreadsheet of my activity.
  11. We sailed on the QM2 last September/October to NE/CAN for 14 days in the Princess Grill. That gave us a good amount of time to rate the food for a longer period of time than a 7 day sailing. Overall we were satisfied with the menu, extra menu and the food preparation and plating. But there was two times were not happy. Once was a chicken dish that my DW ordered and came to the table not done yet with some bloodiness. Embarrassed the staff returned it to kitchen and made sure another plate was properly done of another piece. One evening, a Gala Evening, i ordered a beef dish that was not to my expectations. I brought to their attention and got another of the same dish. Unfortunately it was bit better but didn't finish it all. After the meal was completed and removed, my Maitre D visited me and somehow knew the beef was not that great that evening. Sometimes the meal are great or hit and miss.
  12. Don't know if will get one postal but did download also and keep it as a file.
  13. There were four that were turned into Japanese Restaurants and one a CVS Drug Store. One not in Bay Ridge called Americana on 65th turned into a Chinese Supermarket. Times have changed.
  14. Only one we know of call that all know is called Bridgeview near where Tiffany's was in the past. We don't call the small sidewalk street diners in the class of the Bridgeview. We call them luncheonettes.
  15. I agree with Host Hattie, I believe the bears we've seen are on board the Queen Mary 2. Not sure if her sisters carry the bears.
  16. We prefer the Chinese Restaurants in Bay Ridge. Red Bowl is the newest everyone likes. We do Miss Bay Ridge Chinese Restaurant and Lamps of China. 8th Avenue has gotten to crowded and not very sanitary if you saw the avenue around the sidewalks. But you liked it, you knew where to go. We twice went to Ocean Palace but the too changed. So Bay Ridge it the ticket.
  17. Forget to say that now Bay Ridge like Brooklyn is a Melting Pot of Ethics. I can not even say which ethic is more popular over all. The only lost in the area is the lose of Diners so popular one time. Even the Famous Ice Cream Shops.
  18. You should take a vacation down here and it would take some time to complete all the restaurants and shops and deli's to cover. I am amazed at the additions that pop up. Some make it and some not. So someone else takes that space.
  19. What ever is in the front display is ready to be packaged. Just like the knishes and franks w accompaniments to those running in and out is fast. Many contractors and workers are on the go...
  20. Take out counter always packed Takeout Menu
  21. KFC Burger King A&W Taco Bell White Castle Chopstix New Ruan Chinese Nathan's Something Greek Nick's Lobster Mill Basin
  22. Congratulations and Hope we all will find one in our Postal Box one morning. We too enjoy glazing thru brochures and dream of the next trip and booking!
  23. NancyDrew, There are two locations for Britannia Club Dining on the QM2. One which is the largest area behind the Britannia Restaurant and divided by a tall Partition is on the Port Side rear by Elevator Bank D. When you exit the elevators on to Deck 2, you will see the Original Wooden Sign - Britannia Club Dining Room. We experience dining in there when we were in a A1 Britannia Club Cabin 12052. The other location we experienced while in Britannia Club was when we were in a Cabin 13002 on Deck 13 - one of the new addition added during the 2016 refit. At that time we were assigned a table in the new addition also added during the 2016 refit was Britannia Club Restaurant also on Deck 2 Starboard Side behind the Britannia Restaurant. Much smaller in size than the Port Side. I believe most of those passenger on Deck 12 are assigned to the Portside portion of the Britannia Club DR. We will be on Deck 12 A1 this coming sailing and know we will be assigned to the Portside Dining Room. We prefer the Portside location to Dine than the starboard. It is more intimate decor of a Dining Room as the other side is small and enclosed.
