  1. Not sure about Reflection now. Doesn't seem to be moving. Roy
  2. But Liberty will be first/ Once Equinox got out of the way we have a nice parade. Roy
  3. Not exactly the trans-Siberian but part of the trans-Siberian system which includes a number of trains and my journey (Helsinki to Beijing involved several trains and stops. Helsinki to St Petersburg - a day train St Petersburg to Moscow {one night) Moscow to Lake Baikal (I think about 3 nights) Lake Baikal to Ulan Ude (one night) Ulan Ude to Ulan Baatar (an overnight plus) That same service a day or 2 later to Beijing (2 days plus a night) I believe this would be classified as the Trans Mongolian Roy
  4. In the absence of Malacca photos today here are a few from my 2003 visit to Mongolia. It was on the train from Moscow to Beijing. I stayed overnight in this Yurt: The train station in the Capitol Ulaan Bator: And my compartment. The cars were not sand tight and the crew stuffed towels in the window to keep the sand to a minimum: Roy
  5. I have a sunset today rather than a sunrise and it isn't one I took. I was on MS Ryndam on a New Years cruise in 2014 and we visited Key West on December 29. As we left Cruise Critic member @Scrapnana took this shot of the sunset with my ship leaving the harbor: Roy

  7. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Dixie, Ann, and Tina for the TGIF report. Wishing the best today for @dfish and @seagarsmoker. Great photo of Baby Murphy. Mongolia is a great country I greatly enjoyed visiting in 2003. Way too much to do by the end of the day Sunday. I'll pass on the pepperpot. I like the quote.I love Joplin's music and congratulations to Texas. While I have been through the Strait of Malacca I never knew there was a town associated with it. According to cruisetimetables I don't see any future BHB visits there. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Chilled Coconut Nutmeg Soup and Oven Roasted Chicken as served on MS Ryndam December 29, 2014. Very late to the party today after my final trip of 2023 to Wegmans. Roy
  8. Today's sunrise is from my neighborhood 1 years ago on December 28, 2022. Roy

  10. I'm surprised you're allowed to drink coffee the morning of the procedure. Roy
  11. Don't know if it's just the Panama Canal but it would need to be a very calm day, something I can imagine happening in places like Glacier Bay. Of course, Rotterdam is the only Pinnacle that can do Panama Canal cruises. Roy
  12. @smitty34877 I don't have the treatment dates yet, they will call me with a schedule. It will be 5 or 6 treatments, generally alternate days, most likely between January 8 and 26. Roy
  13. My experience as well. Absolutely perfect. I can't remember all the details but what I did with menus was pull them up on my IPAD, hit "share" and email it to myself, and I got a PDF of the menu. Roy
  14. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Ann, Dixie, and Debbie/Tina. What's not to like about Innocents. I'll try to call a friend and will almost certainly download something. I think today's quote is a home run. Thankful Rich wasn't significantly hurt yesterday. I have not been to Croatia. Great days for the church and for Mexico. I'll take the Minestrone but not a favorite. My alternative is Chilled Guanabana Soup and Penne with crisp Pancetta, my first dinner on MS Ryndam December 28, 2014. Unseasonably warm today and I think I''ll get out with just a sweatshirt and light jacket. Roy
  15. I don't think anyone has posted views looking forward from Deck 14. I don't think you can see the bow from there but there are some nice forward views. These are from sister Rotterdam at the first lock on my Panama Canal cruise:'' This deck was also my preferred location to watch the sunrise on my eastern Nieuw Statendam transatlantic. There is also a little porch on Deck 6 that is accessible at times but it is open to the weather and I think normally sealed with watertight doors although was open for the Panama Canal and might be open at some other times with scenic cruising if the wind is not too bad: Roy
  16. Lots of great toots today. Thanks Leanne, Dave, and fellow addicts. Also, first time a Pinnacle has passed a blocker. Not sure if it can happen with an Edge class buy it would be nice. Roy
