  1. The new straws are great! They’ve been available on my last few recent cruises on Anthem, Vision, and Harmony.
  2. Nice to know! I’ll have to try to use our BOGO on my next cruise in 2 weeks. I’ve done it twice and paid $83 each time. It was worth it, even at that price.
  3. Show your test results at check in at the pier. No need to upload it.
  4. I was on Vision on the Mediterranean in June. The ship was in great shape and the food was good. However, I’m not a fan of the small ships where the majority of the entertainment like the game shows and special events like 70’s night and silent dancing are held in the Centrum where there are less than 100 chairs. They have a great ballroom at the back of the ship that they use for Bingo and not much else. It’s a waste of great space imo.
  5. I use the free for me (Diamond Plus) laundry for socks, underwear, pj’s, and shorts on every cruise, sometimes just to bring back clean clothes. I’ve never had a problem.
  6. We always get to the dining room right on time and are usually done in 1 1/4 hours max, including the first day. If you arrive late, it’ll take longer.
  7. I just got off Anthem on Sunday and they didn’t need reservations for any shows. They originally did at boarding but there was a problem with The Gift that had to change days and that was it. The line for We Will Rock You an hour before the show was at least 300 -400 people long. They needed the reservations.
  8. I was on Vision from Barcelona in May and just got off Anthem yesterday from Southampton. Clean tests for both.
  9. Got addicted to Curacao Cosmo a few cruises ago. If you like a regular Cosmo, try this one.
  10. You can’t book the shows until you board. Then they’ll be available on the app.
  11. Unfortunately, they don’t have biscuits and gravy in the MDR. It’s only in Windjammer which is always too crowded for me.
  12. I don’t know what you’re looking for but I’ve used Allianz for the past 15 years and have always been happy. I did have to file claims 3 times and reimbursement was quick and easy.
  13. Never thought about this. I should have taken advantage of this on my last B2B (not a Sunday) but will on my next one.
  14. I’ve been on almost all of the Royal ships and Anthem is my favorite. I’ve sailed on her 3 times and will again in 2 weeks and again 2 times in 2013. As a side note, we used Blackberry car service when we were in London last year and they were fabulous!
  15. Where does it say this? A PCR test normally takes 2 days for a result yet Royal requires it to be taken within 2 days. I get a rapid NAAT test, not PCR before all of my last 7 cruises. I’ve them at Walgreens.
  16. If you want internet every day, buy it on line before your cruise. It’s always cheaper.
  17. Only place they have this is Seattle, paid for by the city, not Royal.
  18. You should try a Princess cruise where they play “The Love Boat” over and over, including the ships’ horns.
  19. My overall favorite was on Jewel through the Panama Canal 4 years ago.. we sailed from Ft Lauderdale to San Diego. We went through the old locks, which we had partially done before, because a Disney ship beat us to the new one. We stopped in Columbia and took a ships tour through an animal reserve. Zebra met us by the gate and every area had different animals including a family of lions and a bunch of giraffes. One actually tried to get on the bus but the driver wouldn’t let him (spoiled sport!). We’re going on another one next April from Galveston to LA but we’re not stopping in Columbia.
  20. What kind of suite? If it’s a JS, you don’t get a lot of benefits except for a bathtub, a little more space, and, on most ships, a walk in closet. Other suites come with other benefits.
  21. Our first cruise was in an inside. We booked a balcony on the second and never went back. We got hooked on GS a few years ago but after about 8 of them, we went back to a balcony or a JS, depending on the price. Since they started Royal Up, my bids to a JS or GS have been accepted all but once. We’ll just continue to book a balcony and bid on an upgrade.
