I’ve been on all but a couple of Royal ships and Anthem is my favorite. One of the reasons is that the 2 main shows, “We Will Rock You” and “Spectra’s Caberet”. I’ve seen them 3 times each and they made little changes each time to keep it fresh.

I used the app 2 weeks ago and it worked sporadically. Internet was horrible. I believe every Royal ship has the app and offers internet.

Arriving at LAX in a few weeks. Should we book a car service to take us to our hotel in San Pedro or just take a cab? What would be the cost for a cab? Any recommendations for a car service?

If I could fly into Long Beach, I would but that’s not an option. And unfortunately we return from our cruise in January on a Friday. Our flight leaves at 12:46 so we should be okay. We’ll just sign up for an early check out group.

I’d like to find out how long it usually takes to get from the pier to LAX. We usually take a taxi.

Cruise prices are exactly the same as they were yesterday and last week. There’s no sale.

My first breakfast is the same on every cruise. Half a grapefruit and Eggs Benedict. And you can’t forget to ask for a piece of the raisin bread. We call it fruit bread because it used to have miscellaneous dried fruit in it; not just raisins.

If you’ve cruised out of New Orleans in the past year, how long after sailing does the casino open? That’s my question. I don’t care where we are and I don’t smoke so I don’t care about purchasing cigarettes. Thanks

I’ve heard 2 different answers to the question “when does the casino open”? Some say that it doesn’t open for several hours until the ship gets out into the ocean but some say it opens right after sailing. This is specific to New Orleans. Any recent sailers for N.O.?

Just my 2 cents but I love Chefs Table. I’ve only eaten there twice but both times were fabulous. I think this is a great idea for a birthday party.

Been on Allure 3 times including New Year’s Eve this past year. By far my favorite Oasis class ship. I’ve been on all except Wonder. Harmony is my least favorite. It seems like the 3 times I’ve sailed on Harmony, something goes wrong. The elevators had problems on 2 of my cruises (had to wait 15 minutes once and I had to wait because I walk with a cane), and the ship was short of staff every time. I know it’s just luck of the draw but I remember the problems.

We’re on the same cruise and still trying to pick a hotel. I use hotels.com and all the San Pedro hotels are rated “good” which usually means not great. I’ll follow this thread to see if anyone recommends someplace else.

Ft Lauderdale is so close to the airport that you can catch an earlier flight home than other airports. For those of us who have to fly in to every port, the closer the better. Not only is Orlando one of the most expensive airports in the US to fly to but you then need to hire a car service for your hour long ride to the local hotels or port. Probably one of my least favorite.

My daughter is Diamond and will soon be sailing with her husband who has never sailed before. I know he qualifies for her status but is it possible to get this before sailing? They’re most interested in the free 4 drinks.

If you’re talking about the Meet and Mingles, the answer is no.

I’ve only been on one ship out of 8 since Covid that only had canned water. They usually have bottles and may have a can thrown in occasionally.

They’re published in different business sites. I imagine one company can see other companies scores.

Many companies use the Net Promoter survey. It gauges how satisfied people are with whatever is being rated. Google “Net Promoter” for info on how it works.

Anthem of the Seas is my favorite. Their shows “We Will Rock You” and “Spectras Cabaret” are my absolute favorites. I also love the layout of the ship.

I always say yes since they always stress the need to submit it. However, if the server or Head Waiter starts touting how you need to give a 10 because only giving a 10 counts, I immediately stop them. A 9 is counted exactly the same as a 10. I used to analyze surveys for a living. All like businesses use the same survey analysis so they can compare scores.

Someone gave us these earrings (without the pearls) during a Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle a few years ago. I wear them on every cruise and get so many comments.
