  1. Can you change the date when you board?
  2. Thanks. I didn’t know it was different depending on the class.
  3. I know this is asked all the time but I forget how you determine if your bed will be by the balcony or by the bathroom.
  4. Anthem is my favorite because of the shows. I’m on b2b cruises in Aug and will go see both We Will Rock You and Spectras Caberet twice. I’ve been on all but 2 or 3 of Royal ships and find something good about each one.
  5. They’re charging the starlink (higher price than they used to charge) on my cruise in April. Hope it’s better than it was in December.
  6. Exactly why I started my post with the words NOT ALWAYS! However, I’ve been on 9 Oasis or Quantum class cruises in the past 18 months and couldn’t book entertainment ahead of time on any of them.
  7. You usually can’t book entertainment until you board. We’ll go to the Schooner Bar, order a cocktail, and see what’s available and book them then.
  8. The main pool is so much better (and much bigger) than the one at the Beach Club. The lunch is nice. We did it once but won’t do it again.
  9. Not sure about the OP, but I’m going on a 15 day cruise is April and I consider that long.
  10. I’ve been using this email address for years but have had problems with getting a response on my last 2 cruises in Dec and Jan. I finally received a response after 3 follow ups on my Dec cruise but never heard anything on the January trip. However our request for a table by the window was honored.
  11. Does anyone know if there are shops around the pier in Colon? My husband wants to buy a Panama hat while we’re there on Radiance in April.
  12. I was also on the same cruise and with the exception of shows being rescheduled, canceled, or held different time than what the app said, it really was great. Food was the best of probably my last 10 cruises. And yes, they offer bus service to LAX but we found taking a taxi was easier and quicker.
  13. We haven’t been to Grand Cayman in several years and just want to go to the turtle farm and Hell. Will we be able to find a driver at the pier to take us to both places?
  14. Yes. We picked up our luggage, went out the door, turned right, and the taxi stand was right there. Terminal 7 did have a taxi stand because we went there and got a taxi to LAX
  15. We flew on United which is in terminal 7. It’s the only terminal with taxis outside the terminal.
  16. I bought a travel wheelchair just for cruises on Amazon and paid $130. Much cheaper than renting.
  17. I’ve run several slot pulls, one with as many as 80 participants and never earned more than 150 points by using my card. Usually it’s much less than that. I’m not in it for the points. It’s time consuming and can be frustrating at times but it’s fun. Facebook group is the best place to organize since the Meet and Mingles no longer exist.
  18. I absolutely love Chefs Table especially when it’s in a separate room next to Chops. It’s not as private when it’s in the MDR on the staircase landing but still great. I’m a wine person so I really enjoy the variety.
  19. We’re on a 15 day cruise in April and will take advantage of 2 bags; one on day 5 and the next on day 10. We’ll just fill out the paperwork in my name first and my husbands name on the second. Never had a problem and we’ve used it for socks, underwear, pajamas, shorts, and t-shirts.
  20. I read that for gambling wins, Canadians do need to pay taxes. The issue of deducting a percentage wasn’t an issue a year or two ago. It was brought up on my last cruise last week and my cruise in December.
  21. I also just got off Navigator (on Friday). I’m D+ with 580 points and always choose the savignon blanc. I’m entitled to 3 bottles but only had 1 when we checked in. I called the Loyalty Ambassador (you don’t have to visit-you can call during his set hours) and was told they now give them on day 1, 3, and 5 but would bring all 3 if I preferred which I did. I received the other 2 the next day.
  22. I’ve run several slot pulls (largest was 85 participants) and just participated in many as well. I’ve always used my card but made sure this was understood before starting. On my last 2 cruises, the organizer put in the stipulation that if a jackpot was hit and a tax form was to be issued, that he/she would keep 20% of the total to pay for taxes. I won’t participate if this is in the rules. They already get the benefit of the points being added to their account. How do others feel about this?
  23. Just an update since I’m back from this cruise. We took a taxi from LAX to a hotel near the pier and from the ship to LAX. It cost us $80 including tip each way which was much cheaper than any private companies I talked with before the cruise. We’ll be returning to the same pier on our Panama Canal cruise and will take a taxi again.
  24. Not interested in Uber or Lyft. I’m looking for a private car service. Everyone I’ve found so far has been more than an estimated taxi fare.
