  1. First time I’ve heard of anyplace offering brochure rates; probably everyone gets desensitized to them after an hour researching which sailing you want
  2. Valid. Originally I thought it was more in line with an AMEX offer but now see that chase is the TA
  3. I believe he's the #1 youtuber when it comes to cruise travel which is pretty impressive with 477K subs; I believe Royal Caribbean Blog is next at 225K, tony just over 200K and Don is under 200K
  4. I'll throw gas into the dumpster fire... In regards to the stock price, what do the fire sale (unfilled ships deeply discounting rates) during the last few weeks before the sailing?
  5. www.PlusGrade.com, they handle 3rd party bidding for 59 companies, mostly travel
  6. Not from chase but travel/point sites and flyertalk go nuts when it happens...Generally happens 2-4 times a year
  7. @abbydancer Thanks for the review! Could you do us non-suite peasants a huge favor and look in the app, tonight's MDR menu and see if the beef wellington is gone? Just heard one data point that tonight is Chic, there's lobster on the menu but now the wellington is gone
  8. I suppose of all X's ships that the E-Class would be the most simular to Vegas's Cosmo but like you said, E-Class looks like an Industrial Office Building. I personally think the E-Class is an attractive ship yet it's too industrial for me. MSC style is far closer the Cosmo
  9. She's one of billions who upload an "upset" video on youtube
  10. Thanks, I was under the (clearly false) assumption you meant experience. He would probably love one of MSC's newer ships more than the E-Cllass
  11. The real problem is X does throws ambiguous terms like "perks" and "amenities" and we hear again and again on here that even their call centers don't know what they are and seem to make up stuff... Perks DO NOT CHANGE if your bid is accepted = Tips, Wifi and Drink package Amenities = Retreat/Luminae for suites and Blu/Spa for AQ
  12. Delta is part of the SkyTeam alliance, you can transfer them to another alliance member like Air France. Here's an (older) article about using Chase/UR points for the ST alliance: https://thepointsguy.com/guide/redeem-chase-points-skyteam/ Limited time bonus, here's a recent bonus I personally recently used which is in the Star Alliance and therefore you can book United flights https://onemileatatime.com/deals/chase-aeroplan-transfer-bonus/
  13. Even though the youngin's call us old, we're simply getting wiser 🙃
  14. To add, just to be clear for everyone, to get this promo, you CANNOT use Ultimate Rewards points to book at all, even if you wanted to...
  15. On the Solstice NYE sailing there they had Pelotons next to the treadmills, they had a black cover over the screen that said if you'd like to use them to please visit the spa desk. No sure if it's a cover that you can simply take off or if there's some kind of software lock that the staff needs to unlock
  16. Not even sure if this offer applies if you use points. Generally the best use of points is transferring them to an airline when there’s a bonus…That’s how you can book biz class long hauls on the cheap
  17. He’s the carnival brand ambassador. They simply cannot say “if you didn’t know, 99% of the things you gift them go into the incinerator, so give them cash” it would heartbreak many. One of the worst feelings is trying to be helpful yet cause more harm than good. This would include giving someone a gift than only to overhear that person immediately threw out your gift I do fully understand your viewpoint based on the article but think corporate is saying this to not bring negative vibes to the passengers. If they banned all gifts there would be a flood of angry customers To put it another way, if one were approach a crew member, hold a hat and a $10 bill in one hand and just a $20 in the other, tell them to pick only one, which do you think they would take (rhetorical)?
  18. Everyone receives free drinks from the classic package while playing. Therefore the answer to your question is both yes and no…lol
  19. Have you considered Virgin? Just from the pix you share I believe you would really enjoy it and it’s priced a lot closer to X than the ultra premium lines
  20. Im pretty sure that’s the case. Also wonder if you’d be eligible for MoveUp. Many avoid booking through Costco due to the MoveUp exclusion
  21. Was an independent tour operator. I think it's a total crap shoot
