  1. If you used the same email as your X account, they probably got it from that
  2. Damn my "fancy" food palate 🙃
  3. Reportedly you can find it on some ships at the Cafe. It was not the case on the Beyond last month, though
  4. As I was saying above, if you booked X for the minimal kid experience and your sailing goes to CoCo Cay, expect a lot more kids
  5. I'm just pointing out they're not like regular GCs. You buy carnivals GCs and you can use them for bookings, purchase pre-sail items like tours and also use them to pay for things on board. RCI/X's GCs could be like a non-refundable "basic" airline fare
  6. Part the problem with the 'Nox being the pilot ship which may have been intentional, the ship has a lot of 6 night sailings which won't have free lobster and many will wrongly connect the dots that now X is charging for lobster fleetwide Edit to add, MAYBE someone is able to ask for the double cheeseburger tonight (for example) and get it tomorrow
  7. I agree with your premise yet in our cruise contract it does state they can make changes/removals of menu items, they can practically close the buffet for dinner, add new fees, increase existing fees, etc. There's already been a lot of this for 2023
  8. I mentioned this in the other post that perhaps RCG (G as in Group) already negotiated pricing since it's quite different than stopping in Nassau, Bimini, etc. You would imagine if you're shopping for a private island, locking in a rate would be a top consideration
  9. The absolute fear is once people get used to paying an additional charge they simply remove the freebie. Yet that has not happened on Carnival or RCI which started this like 15 years ago. Another datapoint is X seemingly is sticking to the inferior Spiny lobster
  10. Yes stated that earlier yet the CoCo Cay thing could also be in part due to the Bahamas greatly increasing their per passenger fee/taxes
  11. I want to remind folks that X has confirmed that on sailings that are 7 nights or longer there will be complimentary lobster one Chic night and that beef wellington has been gone since the beginning of the year. The additional charge allows you purchase filet and lobster any night, from the MDR (and prob Blu). Your gripes should be directed to the actual complimentary menu offerings
  12. In the previous thread about it, folks weren't interesting in stopping there. Its a safe bet that on the X sailings that will stop in CoCo Cay, the kid count just went way up
  13. This probably has something to do with it...Perhaps X/RCI pay reduced fees/taxes at CoCo Cay or they won't increase like the rest of the ports https://www.thestreet.com/travel/royal-caribbean-carnival-passengers-get-surprise-gift
  14. It's from the capt club; they send them out in batch's, no idea how each batch is bundled
  15. I will say, should going to coco cay be considered "a game changer"? The previous thread about why X didn't go to Coco Cay, most said they'd have zero interest in going Well, it does seem that they're now trying to attract the younger crowd...X is changing
  16. The one thing that scares me though is the could revert back to the $1K cap at any time. Since AARP GC's are instant, I would call the day you plan to book to ensure there isn't a cap, buy the GCs and immediately book
  17. Well done @Honolulu Blue! Perhaps you helped convince X that visiting could be possible My WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is that the new CEO is having influence of getting RCL items over to X which is probably a mixed bag on average but I think it's a good idea
  18. If you witness a bad interaction, if you're capable of taking action, inject yourself into the interaction in a calming manner. Don't take sides or accuse anyone yet, initially just say something like "we're all adults here, no need to raise our voices, what seems to be the problem?". Will this defuse the infuse the interaction 100% of the time? No, but odds are it will shorten the interaction, at least you did everything you could vs just sitting there and the crew greatly appreciates it. Also remember that someone who's berating the crew probably doesn't care about the rules and doesn't feel shame While the premise of venting and treating the crew good was well intended, folks just need to realize that people can be "wired" differently and there are simply bad apples out there. There was just a passenger fight on a Regent ship (yes you read that correctly) where details were sketchy but the video shows 3 or 4 men who appear to be in law enforcement based on the techniques they're using, pin down another man
  19. Just passing along that in another thread, someone said they spoke to the Exec Team who confirmed this is an Equinox only test
  20. Correct but that's assuming they were using REAL butter before which seems doubtful as multiple sources stated it wasn't and even on John's post he said "real" butter
  21. It's a dinner with a special menu usually held once per sailing, They'll pick the night to ensure you're not rained on yet it can be uncomfortably windy
