  1. @Arzeena- you just got off the Anthem? Drat. Guess where I am!
  2. I am guessing that people with a drink package will imbibe heavily once they board. 😄 😄 😄
  3. I am 99.362% sure that the programming of Cruise Critic does this when the poster does not type anything into the title line.
  4. On an eastbound transatlantic, the captain explained the mid-day time change very simply: If we did it at night, the extremely hard working and always exhausted crew would lose yet another hour of sleep. Midday, the well/overfed, relaxing, vacationing, retired, lazing, napping, card-playing, chatting passengers would lose an hour of doing nothing. (first sentence = captain's thoughts. second sentence = my interpretation) It worked for me.
  5. We did the UDP on the Navigator and LOVED it. It works well on that ship. But if money is a consideration, just go to the MDR at your assigned time of 5:30. You'll have a lovely table for two with a new menu every night. Plan to relax, and then join activities as the spirit moves you. There is a Cruise Compass, which you can get on your phone by using the QR code that will be in your cabin and on the TV, as well as the Royal app. And congratulations. (yes, you can wear your wedding dress anywhere you want.)
  6. I wear a watch. A real watch. Boom! Time confusion of cell phones solved.
  7. My mother always taught me to be very careful with that word, "hate". It is an extremely strong verb. Save it for things that truly matter. This isn't one of them.
  8. JMO, but if RC sends Odyssey to Cape Liberty, it will be in place of Anthem, not in place of Oasis.
  9. Required, no. Strongly recommended, yes. I agree with njkruzer's explanation.
  10. Whatever the charge is for a single 24 hour period of internet. Purchasing on board is more expensive per day, than the per day charge in a full-cruise package purchased beforehand in your Cruise Planner.
  11. Yes, it depends on the number of D+ on your sailing.
  12. Purchase beforehand. Your onboard discount is one free 24 hour period. You will get a better price in your Cruise Planner.
  13. Thanks for that warning, as I'll be sailing out of Baltimore in January.
  14. Can you carry your own suitcase(s) off? Do you have TSA pre-check? If so, yes, you could make that flight. Self-assist disembarkation started at around 7:30 this week.
  15. It's not that you're "not eligible". It's that not all cruise planner items on all cruises are necessarily reduced.
  16. They always take my card (and my cash tip) and swipe it.
  17. Yeah, but rockmom highlighted it in GREEN. 🤣 🤣 🤣
  18. I have not sailed from Miami in YEARS, so I am not able to speak to that specific port. I mostly sail out of Cape Liberty, and have not been asked to show ANYTHING to walk into the terminal. I then go through the security line - also not asked to show anything. When I then go to the check-in counter, I hand over my passport and show my SetSail Pass on my phone, in my Apple Wallet. (which does not require internet). Now that we don't show vaccination cards or test results, the setsail pass would be the ONLY piece of paper, so I have opted to have NO paper. It only made sense to me to print it out when I was holding three pieces of paper together in one wad.
  19. I have never tried to get two at a time, but I would guess that it depends on the particular bar tender/server.
  20. Absolutely you get the shareholder's OBC regardless of cabin occupancy. The amount only changes with the length of the cruise.
  21. One package, but two options: Buy the Deluxe Beverage Package. Pay for each drink individually.
