  1. I've seen it done many times. Utilize your resources.
  2. I don't mind looking nice with a collared shirt and dress slacks but no more Tuxedos for me.
  3. Leaving tomorrow for a TA b2b on Jewel. I'll let you know 😉😀
  4. Recently on a RC cruise, I saw these flimsy, cheap looking, reusable cups being used. They still around?
  5. Royal and Celebrity do not have self serve laundry facilities. I wish they did but not the end of the world. I usually do a bag of laundry 1/2 way through a cruise not putting in anything delicate; socks, unties, t shirts are about it. I hit the gym a lot so I bring wicking clothes to hand wash in the sink. Gone are the days of formal wear for me so that saves a lot of space. I load up my Kindle, bring a board game which is usually Sequence and a cribbage board too. 😎
  6. The only time I remember was when I did a 3 night on the Disney Dream. Otherwise, all other times there was a roll call. (btw, I remember you guys from a previous sailing; hope you're well).
  7. Exciting read; thanks. I'll be on Adventure for a TA in 2024 and it's made me that much more excited. 😎
  8. No; this was on a TA leaving April 22nd, 2023. Next Saturday.
  9. What Mom says is true but if you happen to be in a suite (not jr.) you'll get a letter from the concierge about a week before your sailing and you can forward them the restaurants and times you'd like and they will take care of it before you board. Nice perk!
  10. On an upcoming Jewel OTS in a few weeks, the Deluxe Drink Package was $55.99 pp. If I drank, I'd jump on this one. Says 30% off for what it's worth.
  11. What they all said 😅. You'll be fine if you don't dawdle around.
  12. I do a lot of speciality restaurants and they too vary quite a bit. We had done a b2b one time and the Carbonara in Giovanni's was amazing on the first sailing and was absolutely atrocious on the second leg. You would think they follow a recipe but apparently not. I usually don't send anything back but I did on this one as it came out more like a soup.
  13. I personally like the Eastern Caribbean better. I also would ignore the "larger balcony" as I don't spend that much time out there to shell out an extra $500 to $1000 bucks. I've also not done Wonder yet but schedule to next March. Allure is a fun ship for your teen son. Have fun.
  14. You could always buy it on the ship once onboard if you don't see it prior. Discount might not be as much but it's still usually available.
  15. When we had done Ovation just before the pandemic started, it was Jamie's that was the lunch restaurant for that sailing. I remember because I had a list of the restaurants and times I had wanted for the UDP and gave it to the maitre'd. They had all the bookings done before we finished our lunch.
  16. The speciality dining packages save you a little bit of money and you can try a few different restaurants during your journey; seafood, steaks, Italian etc. Enjoy.😋
  17. Thanks for letting me/us know. Husband has been wanting to try Virgin and I'm on the fence. You might have just tipped the scale on this one LOL.
  18. I like knowing what I'm having already before I even see the menu 🤣😋. Thank you Beth Y for the photos.
  19. I keep hearing that. Can't wait to try it 😋
  20. I kept hearing about Eden myself so I booked it for an upcoming Rome to Dubai cruise in October, 2023. Now, I'm just thinking of doing the 14 night dining speciality dining package. Raw on 5 would be a new experience as well as Eden and their Fine Cut Steakhouse. Loved Le Petit Chef on a recent Equinox sailing.
  21. On a side note, I hear JR has a fantastic breakfast yet I've never gone there to eat. 🤔
  22. Good morning. A couple of years back, during the Covid pandemic, we had ended up a cruise in Amsterdam and when at the airport to fly home, it was utter chaos there. Almost 4 hours just to get up to the ticket counter, changed and canceled flights, misinformation etc. My question is has anyone traveled from there (international) recently and found things have considerably toned down? I've a 12pm flight on disembarkation day and am nervous this isn't allowing us enough time.
