  1. What about carry=ons? Will they be the same as most flights these days; small suitcase, computer bag plus medical device?? Thanks in advance
  2. They may or may not take care of #5. Oftentimes regent does take care of air (third) party issues. Simple read the Ts& Cs where they disavow coverage for third partie including air they book for you.
  3. Zodiacs on our last quest Antarctic cruise were included and in venture they are included as well. In both venture and quest jatacs are extra cost.
  4. There is a possibility I will be cruising solo on Venture and did not see in the Herald as Social hostes listed or holding get togethers for singles. Appreciate any information on that as on all the other hips the singles do have get togethers and usually a cocktail hour before those interested having dinner together. Thanks,
  5. There are excursions that have a cost; not many but, if not showing they will.
  6. Thanks so much for the pictures. Was as expected from the renderings. Assume the glass table in front of the couch raises for meal service and lowers as a cocktail table. And that no person eats from the the couch while the other uses the arm table in front of the desk. Nice to have the pics to compare to previous Seabourn cruises. Hope you enjoy Iceland and Greenland with lots more great pictures. We'll be going around both islands for 29 days next June/July. Thanks again,
  7. Understand where you are coming from Bill regarding free vs. included but, there are cases where free while having to buy something really is free. Examples lots of buy one get one free, really not included but, a special or by coupon The second item doesn't cost you anything. That said if everything always buy one get one free, yes it really included however when sold as a special, or limited it actually is free There really isn't a specific way to compare free vs included and they are completely not synanons.
  8. A friendly reminder, sure you are busy haveing a great time however you did respond to my request for full pictures of the Veranda Suites including but, not limited to where in suite meals are served. Just didn't want this to slip your mid with so much great happenins on board. Thanks again,
  9. Don’t doubt flights can be held from allocation however no guarantee the specific flights will be available when flights are released for sale for the way out dates. and with all of changes recently to already released flights specific flights may or may not actually fly and flights not yet released IMHO even more risk on those. And as always YMMV.
  10. Susie. The 270 days will support up to a 60 day cruise as domestic flight schedules are released 330 days or 11 months prior to flight. I know of two and likely more foreign airlines release schedules :360 days prior to flights. the 270 day deviation requirement co Ed’s probably 90% or more people for their return flights.
  11. Believe it won't show up until you board. To be safe make sure you take documentation for both OBC's and if not provided simply talk to the people at Seabourn Square. And remember the referral OBC is use it or lose it while the TA OBC may or may not be refundable in cash when disembarking. Check with your TA as sometimes some of the TA OBC comes from Seabourn and therefore al in non-refundable. Have a wonderful cruise
  12. Would very much appreciate pictures of the Veranda suites including all of the differert areas. Have sailed on Quest and Odyssey and from the pictures I have seen the table in the Veranda Suites on Quest was a table able to be used for computer and eating. Appears Venture onll has a low glass coffee table for eating en suite and that is concerning. We are booked on Venture for next June Greenland and Iceland and can't wait. Thanks,
  13. Yes if Regent actually buys the ticket. As far as phoning the reps, that assumes tho te issues occur during the hours the reps are open which in many cases is not when the problem occurs. My first thought for any air problem is to immediately phone the airline while getting in line if at the airport plus going online looking for a flight that will solve the problem Waiting until getting in touch with the wright person at Regent simply delays actions to solve the issues as Regent alone cannot solve the problem without contacting the airline and doing things myself cuts out the likely delay and middle man.
  14. Anyone including Regent will need to buy a new ticket in order to get to the next port. Cannot board without a ticket and unlikely the flight to catch the ship will be on the same airline one flies to embarkation You you can call the air desk directly but, reports on CC have stated that nobody answers or messages left are not promptly returned. This is not to say Regent will never fly you to the next port without additional charges. Has happened however the T's and C's clearly state that Regent is not responsible for third party vendors including airlines booked by Regent. Doubt the airline that flew you to embarkation will help either. More likely Regent will help if you can quickly get ahold of someone in the air department quickly but, not an absolute as you stated.
  15. Really believe the differences are the stringent consumer protection laws in the UK/Europe vs. the virtually non-existent consumer protection in the US. Can't speak to Canada.
  16. Unfortunately Jason put 100% of the blame on the airline while ignoring the silence in response to the numerous contacts with Regen without any response and taking no responsibility on Regent's part for the fiasco on disembarking. While it is true that airlines are a mess, the blame should not be put on the airlines 100% when Regent is partially responsible although less than 50%..
  17. The late ticketing is supposed to be only for the included air. When deviating historically defeated custom flights are tic kg eyed as soon as agreement is reached and the deviation fee plus any up charge is paid.
  18. ABSOLUTELY agree with you. Meant to say that in original post but forgot. Even had to piecemeal the entire story from different posts plus a look at the NE Passage itinerary. The last piece of the puzzle came from a Facebook post on seabourn Sailers about pursuit being delayed until September 2923. put that all together and thought it best to post above what I believe to be the whole story. unfortunately most companies mistakenly are not transparent and that is a real shame.
  19. Absolutely correct The rational reason is that because of the war in Ukraine, stops in Russia on the NE Passage can't occur so that cruise cant occur. Plus from a post on Seabourn Sailors Pursuit has been delayed until September 2023 so Seabourn had to make a business decision regarding how to handle the situation. Changing Venture to do Iceland/Greenland would still mean many of the then existing cruises wol d have been cancelled and Pursuit for the cruises that remain is mostly booked so the Venture cruises were cancelled and people there got 100% back plus 10% savings on future cruise. Yes they could have given a bigger credit however normally when a cruise is cancelled for operational reasons only a 100% refund isprovided Any alternative was likely close to fully booked and would bear no semblance to the cancelled cruises and when substituting, cruise lines generally simply accept what you paid for the new cruies. Now you get 10% more off Not usually a cheerleader but, have to correct some of your comments and confirm others See above. By the way we are booked on the June 18 Iceland/Greenland cruise and had we been cancelled, we would have accepted the change do to the conditional out of control of Seabourn and found another cruise to book. IMHO not the end of the world and while the circumstances were not well conveyed by Seabourn,, after understanding what happened and why the change. strongly believe Seabourn made the right decisions for the company and the customers.
  20. The reason is exactly the NE Passage cruise that would have included stops in Russia. That cancellation has had a waterfall effect from eatery June 2023 and on. We are booked on Pursuit on June 17 - July 16 and sue we will be on Venture instead of Pursuit so no notification as yet.and with identical ships no changes. Better to be on a ship in service that the possibility of Pursuit delays and best case a new ship with the problems not yet sorte.
  21. This is of interest to us as we were scheduled on Pursuit June 17 and will now be on Venture once the dust settles. Read about this on Facebook before coming here with a person being cancelled on her June 4 cruise out of Tromsok reason being no Russian stops. This is affecting the NE Passage cruse as it had Russian stops. Believe this significant cancellation is having a waterfall affect on both Expedition Ships. Believe Seabourn is protecting the NW Passage cruise that was scheduled for Pursuit after our cruise and they reached the decision to switch ships in case Pursuit is delayed and not lose the NW Passage cruise. This will cause numerous changes as ships are switched and new itineraries are created.. We are probably in the minority and happy to be on Venture which will be a year in service rather than Pursuit which at best will have sailed a few months and delays could cancel our cruise. As in all itinerary changes thee are winners and losers and glad for once to be on the winning side.
  22. Got to use the HUCA method. Hang up acall again until you get the identical responses from at least 3 consecutive calls
  23. RetroRod. Did you read the quoted post from mike Moore?? You have a TA so no form for you has to come from your TA
