  1. Just to correct. Plus Cruise Fare option is $60 USD for North/South America and Europe. (About $88.50 AUD). Otherwise, I am sure you are on the money because the Crew Appreciation is baked into the fare in Australia region and they will have reduced the Plus Fare package cost at least to some degree to compensate for missing that one component. I agree it is a generous reduction for simply removing the Crew Appreciation.
  2. They store by cabin number, but they also used to store somewhere near to where guest was seated. Now they might have to go further if guest in another DR. But IDK this for a fact. I always prefer to have it with me which has three advantages: (1) I can have some in the cabin anytime. (2) I don't have to potentially wait while the Assistant Waiter chases down my bottle. (3) It cannot get accidentally lost.
  3. Aside - the Cruise Fare package is Premier.
  4. Ahh. I see what you are getting at. Yes, it was kind of night-marish for a while. Have things not settled out for the better now? I have not heard much of this in news lately and I could be not seeing it. So I was thinking much better situation now. But I do feel your pain. IMO, AC has always been notorious for last-minute cancellations and combining flights when they knew much earlier they were going to do it. Bad stuff can happen with a somewhat more comfortable connection. One thing that I know has helped out me in the past is when a systemic issue was delaying my flight, the next one was similarly delayed. I cannot guarantee anything, but the cnxn is legal (you might think an airline would alter min cnxn times if processes were jammed up) and it should give some level of comfort. With Nexus/Global Entry, should be able to get from gate to gate in half the time allotted. I can only wish the best here as I have no magic wand. Perhaps I am being over-confident. We made a cnxn at Heathrow last Fall when things were miserable there, so I try to remain optimistic.
  5. Usually, they have the better, more experienced wait staff assigned to the SD locations.
  6. How much was the first excursion? Did you pay it with a credit card or did you pay with OBC? How much OBC did you begin with? How much OBC did you have when starting to book the 3 new excursions? If you had insufficient OBC to pay for all the new excursions, did the balance go to your credit card? How much did all four excursion cost in total? How much OBC did you begin with and is it all gone? How much was your credit card charged? OBC Amount + Credit Card Charges = Total Excursion Cost. If the above equation is not true, then either you have not paid for something, or you were under/over charged.
  7. And they do it week in and week out.
  8. And this is after Covid. Why would that change anything?
  9. So, that is an EZ-Air "fail" by not having the most up-to-date airport cnxn time info by airline. I suppose that might be a hard thing to do and they just use a generic number for all flights, but Canada-USA is a special situation as well and much is done to make cross-border flying as smooth as possible.
  10. Okay. NP. The post I replied to was asking if folks has missed connections with EZ-Air. Perhaps you were asking that concerned you had an illegal or too-short cnxn and I think that has been cleared up now as you have 60 minutes and the mininum is 55. And you don't have to sprint through the airport to meet a minimum connection. They build in some safety margin there. You will even have time for a washroom break. ETA: I used to connect in YUL to/from BOS when I wanted to build up some extra FF segments and not fly from YYZ non-stop. It was a breeze. (Yes, I have NEXUS, but it was also pretty good for other flyers as well).
  11. It is not an "extremely tight" connection. It is normal.
  12. Yes, see above. Unless plan is delayed a lot for some reason. You should have PLENTY of time with a 60 minute cnxn time.
  13. IDK where you got the 1.5 hrs. Sounds like quite old information. I wrote above how these major Cdn airports have been re-designed and processes along with them, to speed up cnxns. The official AC minimum cnxn time at YUL for Canada to USA cnxn is 55 minutes, so you have 5 mins extra. https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/plan/check-in-information/minimum-connection-times.html#/
  14. Has nothing to do with them. It has to do with the operating airline and ATC. Does that initial flight get off on time and land on time, giving you the best opportunity to make the connection.
  15. You can always ask at the airport even if your ticket category doesn't allow it. I would ask nicely and explain you were given a shorter connection time and not familiar with YUL and would feel more comfortable with more time to connect, etc. If they have seats, I don't see why they wouldn't do it. Might need a nice agent, but many of them want to help where they can and not be obstructionist for no good reason.
  16. YUL, YYZ and YVR are really streamlined these days for connections to/from USA. These airports wanted to attract business and move people through more efficiently and a lot of changes were made several years ago. Also, I am sure YUL has information on their website how to connect to USA when arriving from another Canadian airport (domestic) or international. I know YYZ site does (GTAA). Also, Air Canada has major airport connection guides and they have detailed information on AC website about transfers at these airports.
  17. As one gets towards top of ship, cabin category can adjust. Deck 17 is an open air deck, although there is a cabin above the Deck 16 cabin you mention. That cabin on 17 is also a D2 and Deck 18 is open deck. Deck 16 is fully cabins, so Deck 15 is a top D1 category. Similarly, Deck 14 cabin is a D1. Seems fairly typical of Princess, but let's remember this is a brand new ship and new cabin types/styles, so hard to say definitively. Also, Princess has re-designated various cabins on the Royal Class after around for a bit and they may do that on Sun Class too - especially if they see certain D2's sell like hotcakes before D1's.
  18. If already booked, you are fine. Just be careful if you see a cruise fare drop and want to take advantage of a new promo. You will likely fall under the new rules then and lose some OBC.
  19. Right... they had been having them on the Royal Class as well. I don't know that it is a regular thing. They have to block out Sabi's from regular Specialty Dining. I'd certainly do it again if had opportunity. As long as price is reasonable and not $140/pp like the new WMD.
  20. Yes, you can consume wine anywhere - whether corkage pre-paid or not. When bottle is newly opened, they can charge you a corkage fee if not already paid. Another thing to know is if you take a bottle to dinner and don't finish it and take it back to DR the next night, there is no more corkage fee. If you are regularly bringing wine to dinner and you have same table and same waiters each night, you may find they don't charge you all the time for corkage. 😉
  21. Probably a typo as the free limit is 1 bottle per guest. You can also bring another one or two bottles on at a port stop and they don't bat and eye.
  22. You do NOT!!! want to be doing this!!! Are you aware of the Cruise Fare options of Plus Fare and Premier Fare? These are the ways to go because you are just throwing money away to buy the separate beverage package. You can add the Plus or Premier FARE package to your booking pre-cruise or purchase it on-board on Day 1. PLUS is $60/pp/day and Premier is $80/pp/day. The Cruise Fare package includes Crew Appreciation and MedallionNet (internet access for 1-device each at a time). Don't even think about purchasing the standalone drink packages.
  23. @kamelia - what a nice tribute. I also feel one of the best things about a Princess cruise is the crew. Not that I have been on any other lines in recent times, but they always make us feel good to be on the ship.
  24. This is a duplicate post. Did you see my reply in the other thread?
