  1. You should be more specific with your request. Include the sail date. There are two different voyages I see - One from NYC and one from BOS. For the NYC voyage, the only choices are Newport and Saint John nights. I don't see another viable choice other than Newport, despite the 5:00pm departure time (all aboard being 4:30pm). For the BOS voyage, it is very simple. Night 2 (a Sea Day) and Night 6 (also a Sea Day).
  2. See what they say, but I now think it seems doubtful.
  3. Guests booked with a TA need to make any fare changes, fare payments, cabin changes, and cancellations with their TA. Other things you can do directly such as booking excursions or spa treatments. The cruise fare is tied to TA commissions. I would do it on board unless I was getting a discount from the TA.
  4. You can read the official dress recommendations at Princess.com in the cruising FAQ's. That said, the Smart Casual recommendations will suffice for all nights of the voyage. And Specialty Dining venues are always Smart Casual. Of course you can dress up anytime.
  5. So it worked the way it is supposed to for you. No final payment necessary to book dining.
  6. I would think the best source for this info would be on your ship and not on this forum. JMHO.
  7. IMO, it depends on the 4 involved, if you know what I mean.
  8. True. Good catch on me. However, I have read that they were not originally charging that card and were asking for payment after a successful bid. I imagine a phone call is required, but someone else who has done this will hopefully chime in. The process may have changed now to auto-billing as well.
  9. Not necessarily. There is a bug, but DMW should be acknowledging the credits. Some guests have had success by calling in to the OCEAN support team for DMW.
  10. Okay, so first thing first - I am not a woman (nor a non-male human, nor a birthing human). But I think if I were wearing a LBD, the undies would also be black. 😉
  11. A bid upgrade doesn't change your booking benefits such as OBC. You should be able to change to an available cabin in same category. We can pay cruise fare cost with GC's and the upgrade bid is just more cruise fare, so should not be a problem. I cannot say if you have to phone in or can do it online. Don't recall from the older extensive thread on bid upgrade process. Have you looked at some of that info?
  12. For us, the FCD OBC usually isn't much per voyage compared to SH OBC. We don't get military, but I know you guys do. Hope everyone in your situation can get one of each, but seems unlikely.
  13. Another thing to know about upgrades. IMO, a true upgrade occurs when the guest has booked a specific cabin and receives an upgrade to a higher category. Another type of upgrade is when a guest books a GTY cabin and when they get the assignment, it is in a higher category than they paid for. The latter is much more common as most folks booking a GTY, elect the lowest category of the cabin type they are interested in. Few of these exist on the ships, so a good chance to end up with something at least a bit better (but never a guarantee of it happening).
  14. I have been in the mind to try out this new ship for the on-board experiences and feel, etc. I will be more interested in the ship than ports, so a Caribbean jaunt suits me to avoid longer travel. I don't really have an issue with this area at top of ship (the other areas already exist on Princess for youngsters, tweens, teens). So these may be a bit bigger, but it is also a bigger ship. From what I see and read, these new features are not near the scale and scope of RCCL. I was wondering in reading why I saw old-fashioned shuffleboard listed and not new-fashioned pickleball listed. Anyway, as far as I am concerned, we can head up top and check it out and partake or not. Don't tend to use the top aft these days for much of anything. I really laughed at the comment about hammock hogs. It's going to happen - just wait for it.
  15. Those with US address can pre-order for delivery, but a new fee of $10 applies if not on the packages (Standard Fare). Otherwise, would be something unusual like insufficient time. Why do you believe you are excluded? What is happening?
  16. I think the anxiety comes from watching each channel back and forth and hearing two different versions of the same story. 🤣
  17. As I understand it, no one watches CNN anymore. They probably have as many viewers in Canada as US these days.
  18. And CNBC is mostly business, isn't it? So, no US news. Anyway, there is never a Canadian channel available anywhere outside Canada. Best just to look for news online.
  19. LOL - that one is all opinion as well. ETA: I am sure we'd all prefer to have the station we normally watch and not see it gone.
