  1. PRE-CRUISE 1-device = $10/day 4-devices = $20/day ON-BOARD 1-device = $15/day 4-devices = $25/day ON-BOARD 1-device for a single day is $20. If you qualify with Captain's Circle Member Level Platinum or Elite, all prices above are 50% less. No matter how many devices you have signed up for, you can actually use more, but not at the same time. You need to logout of one and into the next one if the active devices list is full. You can also login to a new device and boot the other device off. You asked about two devices. You would simply purchase the 4-device package as it costs same as two single-device packages.
  2. The on board cost of bottles of wine is generally well above the market value such that you can bring more wine on board of better value and even considering the $20 corkage fee you may be subject to.
  3. In any restaurant, they have to allow a block of time for the first dinner res. IMO, a smart manager would know that a table for two is going to be done and gone before a table for six or eight. That aside, when the first party is done, the table is going to sit waiting for the second res blocked into that table. No way to sit someone else and get them done in 15/20, even 30 minutes. If a party runs over-time, the next res has to wait for a table to open. Of course, if another table of same size opens sooner, they could be seated there and someone else who comes along later maybe waits, but less. DMW doesn't have this dynamism, so someone needs to know how to manage table allocation, plus know the software. Couple that with something unique to the ships - many diners want to get the same table each night so they have same waiters. That is not to say that a restaurant regular couldn't get their favorite table and waiter by request ahead of time at a land-based location. These personal touches are overrides to a system - be it automated or manual. DMW is not equipped to handle all scenarios - and I don't think any automated system could.
  4. Do you know how full your ship was? What time did you go to dinner typically? My observation is there are a few DR employees who are good with the reservation system and most are not users.
  5. Some are saying you can get a bad location. Yes, that could happen, depending on which cabin Category you are booking under. You mentioned you are booking in prime territory. If you are booking a BA, DA, or MA, it is highly unlikely you are going to get a bad cabin assignment as they cannot block you into any lower Category - only the same or higher. So, I suppose if you book a BA GTY, you could be given the lowest Deluxe, and you might not like that location. Otherwise, you have pretty favorable odds.
  6. This is not true. It may be that they are sold out for a voyage you look at. Could be a Princess bug going on in the sales system (not the first time). You may also be able to find actual cabins on a 3rd party booking engine, such as a US-based online agency.
  7. I suspect your mentioned price is on the high side, but you posted insufficient info in order for the members here to form an opinion. Which Category of OV are you in? Which Category of Balcony are you bidding on? Most important - how long is your entire voyage so that the cost is relevant to the cruise length?
  8. Technically, you are correct. Princess does have a policy that guests on the Plus and Premier packages cannot remove Crew Incentive. IMO, the Crew Incentive should become a compulsory fee like port taxes and NO guest should be able to remove it. Only fair since many guests have no choice. It would be nice if it was just baked into the fare, but I understand how they will want to show base fares without this amount added in so that they can advertise on a level field with what other lines are doing. That said, what applies to many guests may as well apply to all. Beyond that, I would agree additional tipping is discretionary if a guest wishes to reward selected crew members.
  9. If you are on first sailing after ship return from Europe, expect a delay in boarding start if not the start of check-in.
  10. This is a personal question only YOU can answer by reviewing the additional items and see if worth $25/pp/day to you. MOST people posting on here believe the Plus package suits them with paying any difference between a drink or glass of wine they choose and the $12 limit in the Plus package. For wife and I, neither package is worth it.
  11. You will get NO sympathy here advocating for removal of Crew Incentive. And - AFAIK - you cannot remove it from any bar or drink service (18%).
  12. In reality, the answer to your question is it takes from when the first passenger is allowed on board until the last passenger shows up at the check-in counter. More to the point, a number of guests - from a few to significant - will arrive and be checked in prior to commencement of boarding. Once boarding begins, that large group gets onto the ship in a sequence of priority and arrival to check-in. I have never been at the tail end of that (always at the beginning), so not sure how long it takes, but maybe half an hour tops??? After that, guests arriving at check-in are handled as they come and immediately board the ship. No waiting for check-in to open and no waiting for boarding. It depends on your preferences and how soon/late you can arrive at the check-in terminal. Boarding can begin anytime between 11am and 11:30 am in typical situations. Check-in opens up normally by about 10am. YMMV.
  13. Sure, but even the Princess recommendations as written allow flexibility and do not literally suggest tux to the exclusion of any other formal wear. The advice thus far has been on the money from contributors and IMO the OP's question has been answered. ETA: PCL could easily "man up" and alter their recommendations to match the reality on the ships. By that I mean expand the examples of acceptable wear.
  14. Didn't darken the doorway in 37 days.
  15. I was 4 for 4 in receiving the emails for 3 Regal trips and 1 Island trip.
  16. I think the commenters are few and far between. We were on two ships for a total of 37 days and our friends wore masks outdoors and indoors in port, outdoors on the ship, indoors, etc. They wore them more of the day than not. Never witnessed nor heard anyone say anything and they never mentioned anything. There were times they were almost the only ones in sight wearing a mask (onshore). When the crew was free to choose, most elected no mask, but several here and there would be wearing them. I think it was a norm for a minority to choose a mask, but I really don't believe there was measurable confrontation or mocking of the choices in either direction.
  17. Journey Account is in the top section when you are on board. The Ocean Ready section moves to the bottom. it works fine. Watch for possible Page 2 as the days go by.
  18. All good advice - except the time limit to transfer is 60 days.
  19. That's not saying much - whatever the cruise line. I'd avoid if that's their best feature.
  20. I have heard otherwise. What we cannot do is get one coffee program for half a mini-bar.
  21. The root cause of your problem is the fact that your Captain's Circle Member Level is incorrect in the MC/Princess App. You can contact them and see if someone in OCEAN team can fix it. This has been an ongoing issue and it is very sad that they have not fixed what should be a simple problem. Any rebate if you do purchase at 100% must be Refundable OBC. No question that is the policy, so insist on it if the rebate is posted incorrectly. It is only fair to be treated the same as customers who are paying the net 50%. Another option - if they cannot fix your member level - is to ask for an email that you can purchase MedallionNet on board Day 1 at the Pre-Cruise pricing. It is the least they (Customer Relations) can do to make up for the system bug. For some reason (unknown to me), a phone rep cannot just book the package over the phone and charge you 50%. Is your cabinmate's member color also wrong? Some couples have reported one being right and one being wrong. If so, have the other person order the MedallionNet. Another note is you wrote as though you are planning to order two separate 1-device packages. No need to do this. You should order ONE 4-device package for the same cost and you have additional connections available to you if you have a PC or tablet with you.
  22. You did nit mention the ship and date this occurred. There was some confusion quite a while back with a ship or two. The rebate is Refundable OBC and guest should insist on it if posted otherwise. Could be a clerical error as lots of new employees at the desk from my experience last month.
  23. FWIW, I believe I had heard of this issue a long while back, so it is quite sad that the IT team has not fixed this. They have it programmed to link up B2B's into one long voyage (although something like Medallion Net is offered for each segment). Clearly, their programming logic is not accounting for different ship names even though guest is sailing B2B in terms of dates. You are really doing S2S (side to side), but those dummies have failed guests yet again. It would be interesting to know what something like DMW does when booking dining. Such as which ship is the reservation linked with for the second segment in the background?
  24. You can still do this. Just tell them which person/cabin to assign the coffee program to.
