  3. Reads like they do not get the actual credit card number. IMO, I don't see why they would need it.
  4. What you experienced is what I would expect. The idea was to order Medallions while Shoreside is active and then remove the CC from there if desired. Have you ordered Medallion for the future 132 days out voyage?
  5. AFAIK, past practice had been to charge the full cost for the separate "standalone" beverage package (don't even think about buying that anymore) and individual drinks would be credited. It has not been that long since PCL promoted being able to purchase Plus/Premier Cruise Fare packages on board, so I am not sure if anyone has reported what happens. I would expect to be charged for the full voyage. It gets a bit messy for them to deduct one day package cost and then charge one day of Crew Appreciation, one day of MedallionNet, etc.
  6. This offering was mostly panned in this forum when it came out and then a number of times afterwards when other random folks posted about it. Seems like the story has not changed. It is not something I would do.
  7. Sounds like your email address on file got corrupted. In the pop-up login box for Princess.com, there is a "Need help?" link. Click that and select forgot user id. Another input form appears and you enter Name, BD, and a Contact Email. Try that and see if you get a response. ETA: After getting to bottom of pre-existing posts, I see your problem is solved.

  9. What about it? Are you telling us what you are doing? Are you asking how to do it? What kinds of alcohol? BTW, the port of embarkation is irrelevant.

  11. Advice to you and others to "beat the system". You need to think like James T Kirk in these situations. So, the upload or transfer to this 3rd party is not likely real-time live. Step 1: Add the card for Shoreside. Use some extra card you have that you don't really use much at all. Who knows - you might even be able to trick the system temporarily with an old expired card number. Step 2: Immediate order Medallions. Step 3. Quickly go back and delete the Shoreside credit card. I'll bet a buck or two your card number never gets to the 3rd party as it is likely a nightly upload. Step 4: Check status of Medallion order. I will wager another buck or two that your order is still there and active. For all we know, PCL may not bother to upload the card info until close to sail date. Would be nice to be able to ask their IT team.
  12. Hey all -- not just this poster - Princess announced earlier this year that BP's would appear about 11 days out from boarding date. Cannot speak to luggage tags as they have always been in Personalizer before and are only useful when printed to hardcopy, so IDK if that is an easy thing for many people to do from a phone. Luggage tags used to be 75 days out (which is of course way sooner than necessary).

  15. Oh.. why they are a TRUSTED partner of PCL! Why ever should we mere guests question such things? What could possibly go wrong?
  16. I get 12%, and don't buy Princess insurance, so it doesn't pay for me to wait until on the ship. (Even with the discount, Plus doesn't work for us - especially longer voyages which we have been doing. I might go for it if doing a 7-night Caribbean jaunt).
  17. Are you suggesting a wholesale change has been made? Last I knew, at least one night was labeled "Forma'", with some instances of "Dress to Impress" for the second night. If PCL stops calling these nights "Formal", then the associated dress recommendations appear to be moot since there is no night to which they apply. That said, on Princess you can go formal anytime that suits your fancy and also go Smart Casual if that is preferred. I can appreciate that folks make various personal choices and it's all good. But let's have a modicum of decent dress for dinner since we aren't going to Micky D's.
  18. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the deleted Formal Night/Dress "Code" threads were longer than quoted above. I would say far more threads in this topic area have bene outright deleted versus those that might be gathering cobwebs in the historical bracket. They used to get outright heated at times, but seems much calmer in the past year as things seem firmly in the situation where guests can wear what suits them (within reason hopefully). Dress up if you like. Go Smart Casual if you like. But, it is true that it doesn't take very long for a new thread to start up if the most recent one is either locked or falls down into bottom Page 2 or older.
  19. I believe the Majestic is the issue. I suspect the IT developer(s) have it loaded as AUD all the time and not checking by voyage. Majestic is running in Australia/NZ now. I realize yours isn't, but I get dollars-to-donuts that is the explanation.

  21. That's because Princess is going to install Roulette type wheels in the merchant stores and guests spin to find out how much their discount is. Rumor has it that 50% of the slots will be 5% off with one slot 25% off. 😁
