  1. By May, the fleet will have pretty much abandoned the Caribbean sector for Europe/Alaska.
  2. That is not really a direct number for EzAir. It is for emergency en-route purposes. IDK if a responding agent is going to agree to deal with an every-day booking. In the past, I have been able to speak with an EzAir agent when necessary. Tag @Robkat
  3. I do use a US-based discount agent/agency, but I would not expect them to be chasing PCL for the extra charges I personally incur and not part of the basic cruise fare. I don't use nor expect a "full service" TA. Otherwise, I wouldn't be expecting the generous discount I get. I respect their job and wouldn't have them chasing PCL for something unrelated to my cruise booking. That's just me perhaps.
  4. <Deleted: I was duplicating the point made in post #6>
  5. I agree that Princess is doing a very poor job in this area. Besides complaining and pointing out to their management that it is standard business practice with online purchases to provide a receipt identifying what was purchased and amount paid. Our only other recourse is to take a screenshot before the transaction disappears.
  6. You always use the airline confirmation number when accessing a flight. Note that for codeshares, the selling/ticketing airline and the operating airline will often have separate locator numbers.
  7. Checks calendar. Nope, it's still January.
  8. Not really necessarily get seat selection with all US carriers - some carriers simply have a policy with Economy seats that you must be ticketed (i.e. paid) in order to do seat selection - which you will typically have a fee for, depending on seat type and location. Obviously, Alitalia (BTW, their new and correct name is ITA Airways) has this policy. You could try booking the same flight on ITA website and take it to the payment page and see if you were able to select seats and the cost. Compare the pricing to EzAir, but of course you need to pay ITA right away and lose chance to change if fares drop. I am sure ITA is going to tell you the same thing as other airlines with this policy - ticket first and then select seats. I have paid for my ticket early in the past (AC was the airline at the time) in order to do seat selection, but it was domestic from YYZ-FLL, so I was pretty sure the fare wasn't going to vary much in my favor. With international, those fares can have some nice price drops if you check EzAir like a hawk. Do some monitoring and see what you think. Meanwhile, keep an eye on available seats to select you would like. If you think price is stable and trip is getting close, why not request early ticketing? It's an option on EzAir main page with your flight info. Once you get closer to flight date, don't expect more price drops. Perhaps another airline allows seat selection for your route and won't cost much more than ITA when you add the eventual seat selection fee. If you fly Premium Economy or Business, you should be able to select seats right away.
  9. I think we need @chengkp75 to settle this one.
  10. Well, at least you learned something. The App does not have your correct email address. Or, at least not the same email address as your profile in CC Member profile. You don't have to keep doing "stuff", but when you login in using Booking Number, try opening up your profile and what email address is listed? If it is the one you tried earlier, then you have likely stumbled upon yet another long-time bug. You can also access Profile from website after gaining access there and see what all info is there for you. Boggles my mind how PCL can corrupt data and don't seem to do anything much about it.
  11. The new BP page is supposed to appear in the App at about 11 days in advance of departure.
  12. Thanks for your report, but it is worth repeating - especially in today's flying environment - to regularly check your flight bookings. With the airlines involved. I even check for equipment changes since a different plane model usually means a different seating layout and seat selections can be lost or become undesirable. The sooner you can act, the better. I never count on being notified in a timely manner. We have lost seat selections on our three most recent flight bookings - none of which were EZ-Air or cruise-related.
  13. It isn't easy to relate to your numbers in GBP and ship will be in USD as you realize. We are not users of either package, but I can say that a good number of folks book Plus and figure their extra spend on any premium drinks, plus the SD if used, doesn't work out to the $20 USD per day difference. That said, some figure the splurge is worth it for a short voyage, but not a longer one since the number of SD passes is fixed. You are along the right path. Just do some noodling and cost estimating and see what you think.
  14. They are not at the front - most reports have them back a bit and off-center. You should plan on being in them with about 10 minutes before showtime. Unused seats are opened up generally, but the time could be 5 mins, 10 mins - depends on what the particular ship practice is.
  15. I don't see that as out-dated.
  16. We have a fave spot or two that gets the best shade from the existing roof structures on the beach. Otherwise, I'd be wanting two umbrellas as one doesn't often give enough shade (I want full shade). That's a hefty price if PCL charges the same amount. We don't stay all day either. One umbrella plus a strategic location near a roof structure could do it. Never wanted a clam shell.
  17. I am wondering if, by the time Princess got setup for Regal voyages out of Galveston, that the intended ports were already booked up by other lines and PCL was just "hoping" they could squeeze in. Now, reality kicks in and they have to make the itinerary change. This is not the first time PCL has had to make itinerary change and delayed notification to guests, all the while still selling the original itineraries. I can only guess if a port is over-capacity that the last-booked cruise line is the one that gets tossed out. Otherwise, how is it decided which ship is denied the stop?
  18. I presume the steps you are doing are the following: Login to App using Name, BD, Booking Number Tap on Profile icon at the bottom right. From Profile Menu, do you have "Change Password"? That screen then asks for old password and entry of a new password 2X. Wondering what error you get. The other option is from the App Splash Page (not logged in yet), have you tried "Forgot My Password"? That takes you to a screen where you enter Name, BD, Email and presumably you get an email from Princess. The next screen indicates you receive an email if the account exists. I would venture that no email received means that what you think your email address is does not agree with what Princess has and therefore making a change this way is not going to work. All this said, with others reporting similar challenge, it could be a bug. We should all be able to have same ID/Pswd combination for website and App. ID is normally one's email address. PS - I did try the last process and as of posting this note, I have not received an email and there is nothing wrong with my info AFAIK since I can login to both Apps and the Website with no issue.
  19. Some folks like to know their preferred date and time is secured.
  20. Yes, you can sail without the App, but I would just go with the new App and login using Name, BD, Booking Number. Have you tried going into Profile in the App and doing a password change? Then see if you can login that way. As long as you get to your voyage, you are fine. PCL Is using new satellite service now and all reports indicate much improved internet service. Yes, buy it on board for same price and it will be discounted. The best/easiest way is to enroll via the device you intend to access the internet with. Your daily cost for full voyage is $7.50/day for single device plan. If you purchase individual random days, your cost is $10/day for single device (that one did not increase last time for whatever reason). Your cost is 50% of list. So you can do the math of full voyage day count times $7.50 versus however many individual days you might want times $10. You can use the web version of the App to setup your pre-cruise information so you are ready to board in either Green Lane or Blue Lane.
  21. Go as you go and you will be fine. Just a note to the extent it matters - if you are departing Southampton, generally speaking, more folks do wear a suit on the formal nights than from other ports. All MDR's have the same dress recommendations. And it is only for dinner - there is no dress requirement for the ship in general on the formal or dress-to-impress nights. Also, Specialty Dining has been Smart Casual since the beginning. But some folks also dress up to go there if they feel like making it a special event. Princess has a flexible approach even though they have not updated it in writing. Just don't go to dinner in shorts and t-shirts or gym type clothing and you won't be at any risk of being turned away.
  22. Thanks for this report. Medallions on order, but no Shoreside entry. That means App says Blue Lane, but when you have Medallions, that is Green Lane all the way.
  23. We may or may not be comfortable, but this does not mean the actual CC information folks.
  24. What kind of agent was it? I am thinking - like some others above - that the agent is thinking of the new Sun Class ships where there is an additional "sanctuary" or section of Sanctuary that will be exclusive to suite guests and part of their amenities - but only on that class of ship. No other ships have separate areas for Suites or "Signature" designations.
  25. By this I interpret that PCL is only allowing guests to provide a different CC for Shoreside purchasing up to a point prior to embarkation. They must have a cut-off date/time to send the information to the Radiqual 3rd party who will be loading it into their system. IMO, the key record locator will be the Medallion ID code in each case, plus a name match. The retailer can see who the guest is when a Medallion is tapped in the store due to the live connection with ship's database. All the retailer needs to know is if the guest has setup to do payments in this way. It's the ship that should know which CC to bill. But IDK if that part is totally correct.
