  1. Ahh.. I didn't read the full relationships. I figured there were partners, but I see it is all nuclear family. I see the predicament.
  2. Do you have a friend or family member that is more experienced with airlines and would be able to either guide you or just look it up on your behalf when you get home? ETA: GENERALLY... if you are flying Economy and domestic, you are going to have to pay a bag fee unless you have some special FF status or a special Credit Card that gets you that benefit. GENERALLY .. if you are flying international with a regular airline (not a low-budget carrier), you will have one free bag per person. You also need to get into the flight record of the OPERATING airline and not who you booked through because it is their rule that applies. I hope you saved a lot of money booking a codeshare because it is much better to book with the airline operating the flight.
  3. Can't spring for three rooms among the group? I'd rather have three insides than share a balcony with a sofa bed or pullmans.
  4. There is an interest in good magic and slight of hand. It's obviously going to be somewhat of an exclusive adventure with max of 30 for a performance. There will be an audience for it, but the cost pp will be critical. $8.50 pizza charge has led to near vacant Alfredo locations, so pricing and the entertainment value equation will be important. If I were to bet, I would say it will be regular cruise wear atmosphere since this isn't the members-and-guests-only club in Hollywood. PCL might be getting an idea of how this will go over based on guests willing to pay $150/pp for 360 (that includes a meal and wine of course).
  5. Sorry, do not understand the question. I provided two links for information about Magic Castle enterprise.
  6. Accompany the older members via the Gray Lane and you can all be processed together. Arrive early and be among first to board - especially if you have priority boarding. There will be chairs to sit in while waiting for boarding to commence if you are that early.
  7. https://www.magiccastle.com/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_Castle With limited entrance, it may be like 360 - Reserve Guests only at first by invite. I figure $75/pp once open to anyone to book. If PCL plays nice they could include a first drink with the admission (not holding my breath). I wonder how the conversation went between PCL and MC concerning dress code. The MC dress code is very strict and very formal.
  8. To each their own. Wouldn't interest me either. I'd rather book another cruise.
  9. Did you consider it was the Spellbound group that came up with the theme and design? I wouldn't know, but just hazarding a guess since it is their show.
  10. If you have friendship, don't you have FB contact info or emails to correspond?
  11. Speaking of @Thrak, how about opening a thread and letting us know how the Pacific crossing is going?
  12. Was one of the other 2 DR's a better alternative? Anyone without a res should be prepared to wait at busy time for a 2-top. Seems you have a point about that table sitting unused for too long a time. Do you know what their reserved time was compared to when they arrived? DR Mgmt shouldn't be holding tables more than 10 minutes past booked time. IMO, Princess promises the TD experience and ought to be delivering on it. Also, land restaurants manage to block tables for reservations and handle some walk-ins (unless full) and not waste valuable table space which affects revenue. IDK why the ships cannot figure it out. I do think some ships do it better than others. With you having different times by the nights, you wouldn't be blocked into a fixed table with same waiters anyway. Hope your experience improves. We had a good experience on Regal last October. IDK if Nicola is on board or on a break, but he is a great DRO and would try and help. But you have varying times as you mentioned, so not sure what solution is best for you. There may have been a high demand for Private table option for two people on your voyage and that fills tables. Did you mean 8 open in your DR or across all three DR's?
  13. True - on Royal Class ships. This thread was about Crown. Good point though.
  14. Reminds me of the old Name That Tune game show. Can anyone get their SOBC in less than six minutes?
  15. LOL. I am not the traveler. I was curious and checked the route timing with Google Maps. It's only a 17 minute run right now (ha, ha - middle of the night). I don't need any luck.
  16. The email is so much easier. Just need to be able to scan to a PDF or I imagine even a phone photo works. If can fax, those machines these days also have the scan function. I have had great response from email requests, including do-overs if dropped from reservation after a re-fare.
  17. Understood. It seems the DRO's have been relocating Reserve sections on various ships. I have seen and read of a number of variances from the previous expected Deck 6 Port side on the 3 DR ships. On Island last November it had changed DR's from what it was in 2018 IIRC.
  18. That 1pm EZ-Air restriction seems nuts to me. Leaving the port right now in nasty traffic, the ride is posted as 1.25 hrs in Google Maps. Heavy traffic. I cannot imagine it taking near that early on a Saturday morning. Leaving ship by as late as 8:00am is a piece of cake to make a noon flight.
  19. Just to clarify Drizzle's post, you cannot add-on or upgrade to Reserve Class from any old Mini cabin. It must be specifically designated as a Reserve Mini and it comes with the dining section benefit. The Category is M1.
  20. I guess I am never hanging around the entrance enough to notice as we just head on in to our table at dinner. I like to pick the DR with RC/CC in it since it has most often been Deck 6 mid-ship. Not that I would object to Deck 5. Prefer them over Aft DR.
  21. Things get lost in translation. Not all TA's are experts, etc. Plus, TA's are conditioned to sell the cruise fare packages. As long as you get the value from the package, it is certainly the way to go. If the cruise fare package was not valuable to someone, then neither would the standalone beverage packages (alcohol) be valuable.
  22. Yup, the term is documented in the perks of the package.
  23. Well it is good you thought you couldn't do it, because it makes no sense to purchase the standalone Plus/Premier Beverage packages due to the artificial high cost of them. Just buy the Cruise Fare package for two people and you are better off. (Unless perhaps you don't pay CA and don't use any Internet).
  24. Is this a problem? Regular guests trying to worm their way into Reserve (Club) Class dining? If so, I would imagine a worse problem at dinner.
