  1. This is another Steelers fan who has no interest in booking a NCL cruise. One heck of a second half performamce this afternoon. You just never want to miss a game versus Ravens.
  2. Seems to me that a 5pm res isn't going to be finished dinner in less than 60 minutes.. or in 60 mins... in order to free a table.... unless they were known from previous nights to be fast eaters.
  3. We have had more days on Island than any other ship due to a 60 nighter around South America and then another 14 last Nov in the Med. Next most used ship for us has been Regal. So, I do feel like I have done my time on Island and would prefer another ship, but wouldn't go to the extreme as to not go on a great itinerary. Never had much problem finding a place to play during sea days nor doing what we wanted in the evening... which isn't much after dinner. As for the Universe lounge aft, I will say that Princess CD's ... or at least some of them... don't use the Vista lounges anymore. We were on Regal for B3B last October and only time in there was for CC Elite reception with Captain. We don't play bingo. Maybe a comedian had a show there once in 25 nights, but basically almost zero scheduled events and sits there unused other than receptions.
  4. They were most likely advising them to head to one of the other DR's where they were handling walk-ups. At least that is what should have been happening.
  5. Not sure how you saw it that way, because I see over 20 open seats in J Class for that AA flight (Nov 7). There is also 20 seats on the QF flight. Although the OP did not state a true situation in Post #1, my guess is he bought tickets from AA on the QF flight. So, your next thought is correct in that it needs to be AA who sells the upgrade prior to Nov 7 and then IDK if he has any chance on day of flight with QF. If the flight booking has his personal info and AAdvantage Member Number, AA website should be offering upgrade if he is eligible. Anyway, I hope he can figure this out because I think naivety is getting in the way of an answer or solution.
  6. Yes, you might think and expect someone able to help you. I am not sure if you have been asking the right questions and speaking the right way. You seem to be confused on the airline situation. There is no way AA is operating a flight using Qantas equipment. AA has a codeshare with Qantas as they are part of the One World group of airlines. I am going to guess that you booked with AA, but you booked the QF flight instead of the AA flight. I am also guessing you may be flying SYD-LAX. Both airlines have a flight on Nov 7 (and probably every day) from SYD to LAX. For the Qantas flight it is very easy to go on their website and pretend to book a Business 1-way on their flight. It shows that 20/50 Business seats are still open as of writing this note. If I go on AA site to book the same thing (as a codeshare), AA will also sell a Business seat, but there is no seat selection (they refer you to Qantas to select a seat after booking the ticket). AA also operates their own flight within minutes of the QF flight. QF sells codeshare on the AA operated flight. The first thing you need to understand is exactly which airline is operating your flight and then who you purchased ticket from. Sounds like you bought from AA for the QF flight. If so, you need to be looking to AA to sell you an upgrade now. Otherwise, you would be asking at the airport from QF check-in folks if they have a seat they can sell you an upgrade to. IDK how QF operates, but generally, same-day upgrades are going to their frequent flyers or guests who paid fuller fares and they are getting comp'd or using FF points to get moved up. Are you a member of AAdvantage FF program? You should be. You should be logging in to AA and pulling up your flight and making sure your personal info is all entered, including contacts and AAdvantage member number. At that point, I am thinking their system will inform you by offering an upgrade for $X if your ticket and you are eligible. Again, this is typical airline protocol, but I am not a regular AA customer and don't use One World airlines much.
  7. I didn't look, but doesn't surprise me. Always end up with multiple threads when something major happens. I will request a thread merger.
  8. I am sure it is too early to tell. We were there on the Island the two weeks prior to you in 2022. Part of one day tours in the Palestine controlled area (Bethlehem). We did a two-day private tour from the same company (one out of each port). It was great. You may not be seeing anything or you may be restricted. Obviously, you have jumped on this right away. Things could be back to their version of normal by your trip, but I would begin with thinking those ports are gone. I bet even Princess doesn't know yet what they are going to do, but I am sure all cruise line execs are on full alert over the situation. As for neighboring countries, you aren't stopping in any.
  9. That situation was prior to the price increases that happened quite a long time back. Today, the price is the same pre-cruise and on-board for both single device and 4-device plans. Your current issue is most likely that the App doesn't recognize your correct CC Member Level. Waiting until on-board means you for sure pay the price after discount and it can be covered by OBC.
  10. There is nothing for Princess nor EZ-Air to do in this case. It is quite clear the OP is ticketed and mere hours from departure. They need to deal with the airlines directly for upgrade opportunities. The OP is not understanding how EZ-Air works, but I expect they have a better understanding after reading this thread.
  11. Isn't that the generic email where they have a link to a video and he is the representative CD who they filmed? There is also one with a Captain (Commodore Nash I think). Doesn't mean these are the personnel on "your" ship. AFAIK, Princess stopped sending out who the key personnel will be on each voyage and have not started doing it again. I could be wrong, but I'd say <50%.
  12. You can, but you wouldn't. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/beverages/
  13. PCL is Princess Cruise Lines. I would try and reach a Princess CVP for Australia and explain situation. See if they can put you on a waitlist at least for a 4-berth cabin. Not sure anything else can be done if sold out. A good CVP could talk to the dept that handles cabin allocation (forget the name of the team). You may be stuck. Need to be more careful checking reservations and cabin capacity next time.
  14. Hi, where are you from? UK is a beginning guess? Where are you sailing? How many nights? How did you book? If directly with PCL, do you have a CVP? Do you know how to get a CVP? I'd suggest to reach out to a CVP since it appears you booked using the on-board Future Cruise Consultant at the time. If your story is legit, IDK why PCL wouldn't want to help out unless all cabins you want are sold.
  15. I don't think so. I would think that all of the package food and drink items are for the paying guest and no sharing. In theory. Obviously, there can be ways around things. There has been lots of posts about trying to work around the prix fixe option at Alfredo's.
  16. The Patter is now the daily activities sheet. Two pages on a single piece of paper. Delivered by stewards. I was not referring to the Medallion which is a small disk that simply opens your cabin door and also connects to crew tablets which pull up your guest record so they know it is you for charges to cabin or to verify you when leaving or returning to the ship.
  17. Perhaps it is another example of bringing down the hammer on customer base. When it was changed, it seemed common that one could extend the date - same as when it was two years.
  18. It says it when you are selecting cabin. You have option for You Choose or Princess Chooses. It will tell you there. Stateroom Assignment page/step: Stateroom Assignment Princess chooses your stateroom Your room location maybe assigned now or prior to sailing. Deposit is fully refundable. $869* per guest PRINCESS CHOOSES LATER MOST POPULAR You choose your stateroom Confirm your room assignment now. Select from all available rooms including those in the best locations. Deposit is fully refundable. From $935* per guest CHOOSE A ROOM NOW
  19. Either a bug or is cabin a GTY? The times are a joke no matter where they appear and are meant only for newbies.
  20. The BP appears on the App screen about 11 days prior to departure date. You would have to do a screen swipe and print the saved image if you want a hardcopy. No such thing as a paper BP anymore.
