Wondering if the government bans smoking in certain outdoor spaces, will it be banned on British Saga cruise ships?

If flying out to board SOD,would that entail an overnight stop in a hotel at destination so as to avoid missing ship with flight delays,strikes etc? I wonder.

We did a winter canaries. Also this year and an Iceland/ Greenland cruise a few weeks ago.The passengers on the last cruise were older ( in our eyes) than the canaries cruise.You will get odd upsetting comments anywhere you go in life be it a racist comment on public transport,ageist remark in a shop or anti ‘autistic child’,remark. On both this years cruises I never heard any racist comments,but I did avoid starting a leading conversation.I just like to laugh and enjoy making others happy. I can say that to us it was disgusting to see people laying asleep in Britannia lounge on sofas with their bare feet on small cushions. Also the smokers section is in the wrong place, I agree the music is too old and I got sick of ABBA on the last cruise. We did have problems with our cabin,to the point where without help we would have cancelled next years cruise but that’s another topic.

We were in forward suite earlier this year. The balcony is double depth. Some ‘extra’ wall is one end and the bridge the other. The proper aft suites have double length balconies. The front suites are very bumpy. I had to put pillows down side of bed when going down Bay of Biscay!

we didn’t eat it, goodness knows where it had been and for how long! 😂

We were in an Oceania suite Xmas 2022.we had this broken old gingerbread house delivered as you see it!

Our 2025 aft suite is at a 35% reduction- exactly what we paid .

Apologies I didn’t make it very clear. There are four DD anft suites and 4CC aft suites, but in total there are only four right at the back. we didn’t want deck 11 because of the smokers. We noticed the smoke many times sitting on deck 12 having lunch at the Veranda. It was horrible.

Some cabins are very popular on certain decks so I guess they sell at 35%. Quite quick . The big 4 aft suites have one only at 35% I believe then the discount drops.

7.15pm. Call came in. Got aft suite at 35% off. Exact suite that we wanted.

Glad you got what you want everyone. We pre registered on 21st March so getting close! We want an aft suite and only a couple are good enough for us. Have to be careful of smoking (deck 11), under the decks. It was very unpleasant inhaling smoke whilst having lunch out the back on a warm day on deck 12 .

Goodness me. Ours was last March 2023!

Everything opens on my phone but not my pc would be easier to see on my pc. Do you know when we will get a price?

Forward suites are not good in rough seas. The difference between one of those and mid ships is considerable.

Aft suites have more room.

No compensation.

Just over the last 12 months we have cruised with 4 different companies. Best Food; 1st Saga 2nd Oceania 3rd Regent 4th Seabourn Seabourn was tasteless and having watched a chicken being sliced in front of us that was oozing blood, never again.

Nowhere near as many sales here in UK. . On various ships we don’t get the services discount or even transatlantic upgrade flights free.

In 2010 we cruised Antarctica on Princess. We were told we would be the last large ship to enter as far as we did.
