  1. Our extended family that sailed with us on Harmony (that included our two young grandsons) had no interest in the dining room and we were all in suites and I was the one paying. Next up for us will be checking out the WJ this month on Jewel and then a couple of Serenade cruises...I know they won't live up to the Harmony. Enjoy the Indy !!!
  2. Yes the gratuities will be distributed per policy. We personally would never remove the automatic gratuity as it goes to many other staff members. However we certainly give the WJ staff as we often sit in the same area of the WJ and get to know the servers on those nights and tip those that have served us throughout the cruise on the last night. One person that many forget about is that friendly "washy washy" greeter as you enter the WJ. Hope this helps but bottom line is to do what best suits your onboard experience. Happy 4th of July and happy, healthy and safe travels to you. !!!
  3. I believe DL Sky Priority is for bookings made on Comfort + and above. But it won't hurt to ask once at the airport. Best of luck.
  4. We booked the Bering Sea Tour a long time ago for our September cruise. We've done this one twice before and booked directly with them...however...surprise...for this cruise booking through RCI was less expensive. We're also trying to book Gold Rush Dog Tour in Juneau and have been since December..on a wait list can't believe how fast this company booked up.
  5. We have been trying to book Gold Rush Dog Tours in Juneau privately and am on a wait list for our RCI September port stop. In contact often with this company and have been since December...can't believe how fast this booked up.
  6. What did you do in Sitka ? We'll be an extended family that includes our two young grandsons and want to do the Raptor center and Bear excursion. I've tried to book a private tour although someone said they have these tours available after you get off the shuttle bus into town.
  7. I book my cruises as soon as RCI opens their schedules to get what I have often found the best pricing and certainly the cabin category and location we want.
  8. Thanks for clarifying what I thought and posted.
  9. Yes...Darn those enclosed pivoting OS's TV's we've recently had on Navigator & Explorer and will have again on Jewel & Serenade. Agree...We're done with the nightlife onboard and enjoy watching TV and ordering from the MDR menu at night...our idea of a vacation.
  10. Outstanding I agree. We were on the Navigator January sailing with 1100 onboard. We'll never see that again.
  11. Yes...I did too...just couldn't remember on the steps to do this in the casino. I hope this method will also work on Celebrity when we cruise with them May 2023 they gave us a lot of OBC when our original cruise was covid cancelled to rebook.
  12. Yes I knew D+ used to get it...but we never used it and certainly haven't on our last four cruises this year so I didn't even notice. Just checked our suite letter's and yes a perk for suite guest's now.
  13. Harmony has the best WJ...Ate there every night this past April.
  14. My DS helped my very capable 74 year old DH do this...but after seeing how easy it's done as a 73 year old 5'4" 140 lb wife we could absolutely manage alone.
  15. It's a mess right now according to several recent posters with cancelled flights and trying to rebook.
  16. I believe upper tier C&A members get a free garment pressing on formal/dress to impress nights.
  17. On our recent Harmony our grandsons went several times. We were surprised how many open skating sessions there were...and if there weren't enough skaters they could continue into the next session this happened often.
  18. True...I managed a travel call center (one of the biggest that specialized in pleasant travel to Hawaii) many many years ago and very few of my agents had ever been there...but they were well trained and very convincing Mahalo
  19. Funny story....Many many years ago I bought a travel iron onboard in the gift shop....my how safety things in general have changed over the decades.
  20. Yes...I'll agree at the terminal and onboard it was probably the antigen test...but it made no difference to us...as long as he tested negative. The NAAT was certainly acceptable and we (his mom) was able to print out results in less than 1/2 hour and take the hard copy with us to show at the terminal. He turned 5 on our last cruise day and so has had his first shot and will be getting his 2nd one in about a week so we won't have to worry about that for his next cruise in September. Big brother who is 9 was fully vaccinated for our last cruise.
  21. Our son had no problem accessing the HDMI ports on the three TV's in his 2 bedrm GS on Harmony recently. And we could access the one in the bdrm of our GS but not the living room. You just lift the TV off the wall mount...connect it and hang the TV back on the mount. Where we haven't been able to access the HDMI have been in the OS's on Navigator and Explorer where the TV's are encased entirely in a swivel cabinet.
  22. Our Samsung remote did. I purchased that one because the TV's onboard have always been Samsung.
  23. Recently on Harmony our GS cabin door opened out and the GS two bdrm next door to us that our son was in opened in. It seemed cabins doors that had a bit recess opened outward. This was hard getting used to and something you had to watch for as you walked down the hallway. Door handles on both definitely moved downward to open.
