Right outside the POM terminal doors you will see a shuttle company with big signs offering transportation to MIA for $10.00pp cash. We have used this option so far twice this year, and it's worked out quick and easy for us. They have several shuttle vans that fill up quickly and are on their way to MIA. You cannot pre-book these but believe me they are there and provide great service. We will be using them again in March.
Once you get through the port shopping area you just head in the direction of downtown and follow other's that will be walking that way. Nothing hard about figuring this out at all once there. The walk is actually pretty easy and quick. You'll cross a main street where there was actually a local policeman acting as a crossing guard. Just walk straight ahead and you'll be heading into the main area of town. If we figured it out...you'll be able to also.
Check for the internet pricing during Black Friday and any other cruise planner items you may be interested in. This is when we have usually gotten the best deals.
You can try South Florida Shuttles...SAS...Jiffy Jeff. Any shuttle company offering rides and I would pay no more than $10.00pp if using one of these. But I do agree to just use the lined up taxi's. Make sure their on a meter and no a flat rate.
One booked so far for Feb 2026 7 night Mexico on Navigator. Home port and a great price so I booked when it was released.
Waiting to book other itineraries as the RCI schedule slowly comes out. We book as soon as they open.
A lot of $$$'s has been spent on this newish port. Lot's of high end shopping area (most were empty) and a large pool and bar area. We opted to walk through (you basically had to) and into town on our own.
Very disappointed in this town and port and on our next stop there in March will stay on the ship. Don't let the locals (all wearing the same type of shirt) scare you by saying to be safe they need for you to pay them to walk you into town, not necessary at all.
Once into town pink street and umbrella street and a church....basically a waste of time. But up to you if you want to check it out.
Have safes been added? I seem to remember a few years ago there weren't any. So if you want a tub you must request. I'll assume the TV's have been updated also? We like the option to use our Firestick at hotels.
For a multi night stay we would still stay at Hyatt Place and always rent a car (HP free parking) and go to Sawgrass Mills Mall and Lester's diner. Better options of things to do when you're not restricted to walking.
I'm sure this will work for you and glad you were able to change it. However....personally, I wouldn't want to spend that much time at FLL. But you can now take your time getting off and perhaps take a taxi to Lester's diner for a nice long breakfast (our favorite yummy food) as we have seen many do this, they even have a place to put your luggage. Then call a taxi or Uber to FLL.
We'll turn Pinnacle on the 3rd night of our March 11 night cruise. Will the LA reach out to us or do we. What options do we have in regards to the pins that I understand will be mailed to us and what's Stratum?
Absolutely agree with this. Hyatt Place booked with Valuetrips is what we do and will be doing again March 2025. We stopped booking Embassy even with their so called on going renovations we just like HP much more. If you can get VT pricing no reason to pay ES prices.
If you're a Costco member check their rates. We used Budget and after returning the car to their Port Canaveral location used their comp shuttle to the port.
