  1. No...I don't believe they do.
  2. I just got this Digital ID offer from Delta Airlines. Airports pilot program at ATL, DTW,LAX LGA & JFK.
  3. Not the AARP gift cards but we often get RCI gift certificates from family and have found them easy to apply to the final balances of our RCI booked directly cruise. Doing so online with the certificate serial number and certification authorization code. https://royalcaribbeancertificates.com/
  4. On Icon that includes the SurfSide Suites as well.
  5. Check to see if your hotel offers a shuttle to Port Everglades. With those you won't need a car seat. It seems a hit or miss if you can find Uber/Lyft that offers car seats.
  6. Yes there is an ice rink. Icon had a couple of shows but it's a round rink not the oval type shape on other ships..so a bit smaller. There was a Starburst Elemental which we had reservations for (walk up also available but this one filled up fast so reservations suggested) and a family type ice show with Captain Awesome ... that one didn't require reservation. There is also open skating at certain times that will be listed in the Cruise Compass.
  7. We're D+ almost Pinn and stay in suites. On Explorer we go in get our drink and snacks and sit out in the Crown. The lounge is always too crowded for us and has a lack of tables for two which we prefer.
  8. Oh my goodness...Just off Icon and almost every cabin door was elaborately decorated with magnets.
  9. We had two SurfSide Suites and I will agree with you about those and it's lack of storage. The swing around TV was ridiculous for viewing. Our young (10 yo) grandson loved that little sleeping area but we certainly won't book that category again. We also didn't care for the SL to share space with the Coastal Kitchen. But we had an amazing bartender (Gerry) that made a nightly juice drink for the kids and they loved him. So for us it was in/out quickly.
  10. Some of our extended family (2 adults & 2 kids) had #1054 on Serenade for our last Alaska itinerary and it was great. Yes, it was the old CL.
  11. Those elevators, shows and dining venues...wonderful....right !!!
  12. We were just at Hyatt Place (last month) and saw not only the sign up sheet but the two large shuttles they use. It wasn't crowded at all and looked very easy to do.
  13. From what we just (last month) saw on Icon. Yes, you can lock that main hallway door and it appears you could leave those two other doors open.
  14. Hi Steve, It's an Advantage Plan nothing to do with my retired husbands employer.
  15. Hi Steve, We're 75 & 77 with no health problems. We have the GeoBlue Trekker Choice plan and also have Aetna Medicare Plus HMO. Our travel consists of RCI cruises. Do we need to also purchase cruiseline insurance for any onboard medical expenses. It seems adding an additional 3rd party policy is becoming expensive with our age per our last phone conversation. Have always appreciated your help with our policies but now starting to question what's best for us at our age. Thank you so very much.
  16. I'm getting so totally confused now with all these medical incidents. Does it make sense to have onboard cruiseline insurance to cover any onboard costs in addition to my GeoBlue Trekker annual policy that will cover us once off ship?
  17. Would this have been the case where cruiseline insurance would have paid for the onboard costs? Then a 3rd party take over payment once off ship?
  18. Renting from the downtown location was very easy for us...twice recently. We were the first in line at POM at the rental curbside location outside the terminal doors. On shuttle for Avis/Budget and walked in and first in line. Out the door quickly with our car. It's just timing. MIA location can have long lines for rentals....busy airport.
  19. I recently found out that Avis/Budget are basically the same sharing company. Share locations ,agents and cars. We got the same car from Budget that we ended up getting from Avis a week later in Miami.
  20. Spinners for us and we love our softside TravelPro luggage.
  21. I agree and have voiced my opinion many times that the internet should be included fleet wide when sailing in a suite.
  22. As far as RCI goes you can easily call a CSR and they have a list of cabins available on the specific cruise/category you are considering.
