No tub is the reason I have no interest in this category. Also just experienced the split bathroom on Icon and hated that setup.

We just due to an unforeseen circumstance to get to our POM cruise. Had to fly into TPA instead of MIA and rented a car to drive from Tampa to Miami and we had no one way rental charge.

We just recently (twice) rented from both Avis & Budget at their location's on 99 Southeast 2nd Street, SE 1st Ave at, Miami, FL 33131... They share the same building and are very close to the port and offer a comp shuttle to and from POM. No need for the hassle at MIA. If you're a Costco member check their website...this is where we get the best rates. Even though at times MIA is a few $'s cheaper than the offsite offices it's not worth the hassle and then paying for transportation to get there.

Let me just add again we haven't had to physically show a credit card in quite sometime. As recently as May 18th to board Icon. We had extended family (4 people) sailing with us and I entered my card for them during online check in and they also weren't asked to show a physical card. Only showed...SetSail Pass, Passport (which they also took a picture of) and a picture for your SeaPass card.

Tap it very slowly it will adjust in small increments.

We just again used Hampton Inn & Suites Blue Lagoon. Comp shuttle from MIA to their hotel and a shuttle from hotel to POM for $14.00pp.

Not that we were interested in it but didn't see it offered onboard Icon for our recent May cruise.

We like the Hampton Inn Suites Blue Lagoon. Great location just across the street from a Publix market area. Comp shuttle to their hotel and a pretty good breakfast. Hotel shuttle to POM is $14.00pp.

You might also check to see if your hotel shuttle operates that late. We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Suites in Elizabeth NJ (and used their comp shuttle) if you're looking for another hotel recommendation. We enjoy this hotel's location.

This is the closest location just outside the PE terminal gate. This one has a comp shuttle. Of course there's one at FLL but then you have to arrange your own transportation to get there.

Just off Icon and my two young grandsons got them ($10pp) for use onboard...worked well.

We have never had a problem fitting our luggage under the bed. Most recently (May) we had 3 large 29" TravelPro's under our bed in a SurfSide Suite on Icon as did our extended family next door in the same category. No problem including having our steward remove the RCI robes from the closet.

The final onboard statement is very easy to read and individually notes each person by name and folio number and expenses they've charged onboard. This should be an easy option for the OP to have their daughter use and then pay them back in cash.

Agree...don't use a debit card. I've been on several RCI cruises (recently) and they stopped asking for the physical card some time ago. Our most recent cruise a week ago my entire extended family was checked in using my credit card and no one asked any of them at check in to see my card. Agree...with the above that her mom could get an additional credit card for her.

Well I can say our extended family that included our 2 grandsons just got off Icon on May 25th loved it. We had two Surfside Suites and saw all the shows and ate at most all the comp eateries and had an amazing time. FYI for those that care...Mario was on our cruise. Not that that made any difference.

Include Icon on this list.

You might also consider a private shared shuttle service from many that offer service from FLL-POM. Like Ride SAS, JiffyJeff, South Florida Shuttles etc.

You can ask for carton of milk during the dinner hours also in the WJ...we sometimes do.

Hard to compete with the food on Icon....it was just amazing. Lobster in the WJ...oh my.

We just got off the Icon (May 25th) and agree with the above 11am to 11pm with happy hour between 5-8pm. However perhaps it's just me but I didn't actually care for the set up of the lounge and Coastal Kitchen sharing basically the same space.
